However, the experience we had tonight at this place was beyond uncomfortable and downright rude. I would go into great detail but it would be a waste of my time to relive this experience again. The interior is done up very well and the view of the golf course is beautiful. We went there at 3pm on a Saturday and it was dead. That's usually not a good sign for me, as busy means its good, but I figured it was slow because it was in between meals. The staff was very friendly and the manager made the point to table touch and see if we were doing well. I got the chicken tacos and my wife got the blackened salmon on the ceasar salad. My wife loved her salad, but I wasn't too impressed with the tacos. The tacos were a decent size, but they only give 2, and the chips they provide were fried fresh but not provided with any salsa so it was a little bland. I also got a cherry mule to drink which was a little too sweet and weak for my tastes. All in all, decent if you want a decent meal with a great view. read more

Service was good, especially considering the large crowds and many people lined up to get in. The wild salmon was OK, though a little dry from overcooking. The polenta and vegetable pieces served with the salmon had been sriously overcooked, with the consistency of the contents of the paste jar in an elementary school. First time here but not the last! Hubby was craving a burger so I searched on Yelp. Not only closest to Traverse City Resort but great reviews...and now I know why. He started with the roasted corn chowder which had some jalapeños in it - he loved the kick it had. We both ordered the burgers - excellent! They grind their own burger mix from several different steaks and it created a wonderfully juicy burger! Great seer on it yet juicy on inside. And the lightly toasted bun was a great touch. We visited for dinner on a Sunday on our way up north. Wasn't busy, sat right down. Lots of interesting items on the menu, but overall we found the food relatively tasteless and bland. I had the Chicken Pesto Pasta, and I love pesto, but I found this pesto quite lacking. The pasta was "doughy." My wife had the salmon and said it was just ok. Daughter had a burger and described it as lacking taste as well. Service was good and friendly. Food took a while to come out, but that is somewhat expected in this economy. The big problem is food this mediocre should not cost this much. It is way overpriced for what it is. I'd suggest skipping it, there are far better options at all price points in the area. read more

Live locally and have seen the food quality decline while prices increase. Brought some out of town guests there recently. Service was good but the Ribs were extremely tough and not very tasty. Ordered a side salad and was charged $8.40 cents for it. It consisted of lettuce, red onion, and some croutons. Italian dressing was so tangy and peppery that it made my mouth sore and was not edible for one of our guests. Will not be going back as it is the second time the food has not be good. I would like to start my review off by noting that the picture of bread shown on this app under the pictures you can swipe of the restaurant is a lie. They don't give you bread or anything to eat while you wait. I asked my waitress for bread and was told that they didn't do that. The food and the service really was bad enough for a one star review. I hate giving bad reviews but the more I think about it the more I realize how awful it was. Deborah was our waitress. There wasn't anything wrong with her as a person, she didn't say anything rude but she has no business being a waitress. We didn't get our waters that we asked for four times until after our alcoholic beverages came out and that took over 20 minutes. So that's 20+ minutes to get water. Seems a bit excessive. I also asked others waiters walking by to grab her multiple times. She came by our table a total of three times that night. My table ordered two burgers and the beef tenderloin for dinner. The tenderloin was so bad that my mother refused to eat it and took my burger instead. I tried to eat the tenderloin and refused as well, so we ended up splitting my one burger. Both my burger, my fathers burger and my mother's tenderloin were all flavorless. The mushrooms tasted like nothing as well. Portion sizing on the tenderloin was tiny too. Being from texas I didn't realize that a cut of meat could come out and be sold in such a small quantity. I was disappointed after seeing all of the great reviews. Hopefully the chef that night was having a bad day and this isn't a normal occurrence. However, even if that is the case, I will not be going back to give it a second chance. read more

Driving across 72 and glad we stopped here. Sat out on the back deck and had a wonderful waitress. The cob salad was massive with piles of toppings plus my son asked for anchovies & they were very generous. The lunch (Pick 2) specials are unique and flavorful. Where do I start? First off i want to say I've driven by a few times and thought it looked like a nice place. When we asked our server about recommendations all she had to say was " I dont know, they just changed the menu yesterday" Had the whitefish that for $28 dollars that does not come with a salad. Asked to opt for a different side other than NASTY asparagus and was told there are no other choices. The plating was ok but the whitefish appeared as it were boiled and had no broil, bake or grill marks which I find to be pleasing to the eye as well as having texture makes it more appealing. It has set in some sort of red tomato based purée that just does NOT marry with the fish. The topping was some greens and lemon. Not everyone likes lemon cooked on their fish and I am one of them. Enough of my plate. I didn't even mention the poor quality mashed potato's! My wife's plate was grilled chicken breasts on a bed of what I think May have been "Uncle Bens" or maybe an off brand off the dollar store shelf. Ok, desert. Asked our server about the deserts and was told the carrot cake was really good. My wife asked several times "is it moist?" Server raved about it so we chose it. Well, I've had some good carrot cake in the past and some dry ones. This one almost lodged itself in my throat and is closer to dry and lacked any "carrot" taste at all. The whip was better than the cake. Just heed warning, this is not a cheap establishment so if you want to have a good meal that costs you a days wages you may want to pass up on this place. I had a hamburger which was very good and my husband had the smoked Gouda pasta which was delicious! I'm getting that next time. This is a really nice place for dinner without the drive from Acme into Traverse City proper. My group was there on a busy Saturday evening; we were greeted and seated quickly. The waitstaff was great and beverages arrived quickly; and the appetizers were really good. While it presents as a steakhouse, there wasn't much on the menu as a "steak" but there was a lot of nice entrees to choose from. If you are staying in the area, and really don't want the crowds and drive around the bay, this is a really good option to try. read more

Wow- this place is incredible. As visitors just passing trough I am very glad we had family that knew the area well and could recommend this sweet spot! We went at dinner time as the sun was setting and originally sat inside // after our happy hour drinks came to the table we asked our editor if it would be trouble to move outside on the patio for a view -- he was so amazing moved us outside with no problems and brought our food right out to us. The plates we ordered were from the happy hour food menu and you wouldn't believe it!! They were large portions waaaay bigger than what we expected for the price. I had the nachos which were SO GOOD!
