We had to schedule about a week and a half out (quite daunting to know a date was coming), and we took care of payment in advance. The day of, they called us asking how we would like to remit payment (ugh). I made flower leis for our girl and my toddler son to wear, as we wanted to have her collar, and we waited for the call that the Dr was about 10 min out...then I broke down. After the Dr came, and she was at peace, we spent some time with her saying goodbye. She was taken with her blanket she was on, and we requested for it back. When it came time to pick her up, there was no blanket (I realized when I got home). I called, and they said they would look into it. A couple days later, they said it's ready to be picked up and they found it; I got it, and it smelled strong like Tide...which we don't use. After my mind went crazy with assumptions, I called them asking for an explanation; the blanket was washed because of bodily fluids, and they sent it home with another family! I was so sad that it didn't have her smell anymore, and that they mixed that up, and didn't tell me. My trust for them really went out the window with this ending...and wasn't really impressed with their presentation (we got a white gift bag, no writing, and a tin box). My dog was having mobility issues due to old age. Terry asked me if he could take my dog from the room into the back area (out of sight) to do additional evaluation and tests. When he came back, he casually mentioned that he "popped a pimple" on my dog's back and punctured/cut into his skin when I wasn't there to stop it or monitor him! I don't even know if he cleaned the area or used gloves. I was shocked and horrified. He did this without me asking or authorizing it. No consent. No apology. No follow up treatment. It was NOT a pimple at all; it was a mast cell tumor right on his spine that he had had for years. Terry tried to push a spine and hip surgery and offered painkillers and sedatives, which I declined. My dog got sicker and sicker after I left Apollo North, in hindsight it was probably a histamine overload from the toxins released by forced tumor rupture. The tumor got bigger before it ruptured and exploded a few days later. Then he started getting weaker and seemed to be dying. I ended up driving my dog to a holistic specialist in California who saved his life. I've had dogs my whole life. This is easily the worst vet (Terry Silkman) and animal hospital (Apollo North) I've ever been to out of all of them. My husband believed Terry "popped the pimple" to try to force us to get the dog an expensive surgery. My dog almost died because of him, and he caused him extreme pain and permanent scarring. Horrible real life example of veterinary malpractice. The time has come to deal with what you did. Real pictures of my dog's wound after Terry injured him without my knowledge or consent. I have to drive by this place every day and be reminded of this nightmare. First vet I went to in the state after moving to AZ. Btw, this place is owned by National Veterinary Associates via JAB Holdings, a large Private Equity conglomerate that is attempting to take their company public right now. They can afford to have many animal deaths, settlements, and unhappy customers. Their stockholders won't have to feel it or care. It's beyond me that Terry is even allowed to practice. Front desk lady is super nice, but that man almost killed my dog, could have cared less when he intentionally injured him, then tried to sell me a surgery that he would perform. What kind of idiot tries to pop a tumor on purpose? He didn't drain the tumor, which I was told is why it ruptured and make my dog so sick. On a 10-year old dog weighing less than 10 pounds that had no issues from the tumor, which was not the reason for the appointment anyway. Terry is self-admitted and advertised as an orthopedic surgeon--not an oncologist or dermatologist--and likewise he had no business addressing the issue, especially without my knowledge or consent. My dog's body is my choice, not yours. Nightmare of a vet. Buyer beware in the most literal and sick sense.

Traumatizing experience with All Animals during deceased animal pickup service. I discovered a…read moreferal cat had gotten trapped and died in abandoned TNR cage at the rear of my property. I was devastated to think about how long it might have been there and suffered. It's body had decomposed in the heat and fused with the wire cage. The City of Phoenix Dead Animal pickup has a contract with All Animals and sent one of their "sensitive professionals" to pickup the deceased cat. I'm a frail Senior and the cage was quite heavy. The employee refused to help and immediately began yelling at me that he couldn't wait and I could get fined for the cat being in the cage. I couldn't get the cat out of the cage as it's body was attached to the wires, the employee began yelling and refused to help and wouldn't accept the cat with the cage. He was highly agitated and at one point for no reason yelled, "Don't touch me!" He finally just got in his truck and left. An emotionally draining experience made much worse by an out of control employee with anger issues.

It was very difficult emotionally to process the loss, let alone trying to figure out what to do with his body. I called a few places that I found online, but the only person to call me back was Desmond (in 10 minutes no less!). He was able to drive over to our house right away. Desmond was kind, supportive, and very helpful. When he gave us his business card, I noticed a photo of one of his Dobermans on the card. It felt like a sign from above that my little Joey was going to be well taken care of. When Joey's ashes were ready, Desmond drove the remains back to our house and delivered the most wonderful package. The urn is a gorgeous wood box, and the clay paw print comes with a small display stand. Some of Joey's fur was also included in a little glass bottle. The note from the cremation center said a tree was planted as well. I've had other pets cremated in the past, but this is by far the most beautiful package I've seen. He was bringing my little girl home. When you've loved a dog for so many years, their remains aren't just "ashes," and the people entrusted with their final care matter tremendously. Every interaction I had with this company made me feel that they understood that. There is no way to make any of this easy, but there is a way to handle the people grieving with tenderness, dignity, and humanity. This company did exactly that. I chose this company for many reasons, particularly that it came highly recommended from a friend, but I'd be lying if I said that part of the reason wasn't because of the keepsakes and the fact that I thought I was going to for sure get an ink print of his paw so I can get it tattooed. I will take some responsibility in the fact that I was not the person to directly talk with anyone as I had Less than 24 hours between realizing that my dog was terminal and needing to put him down, so I handed that responsibility off to my fiancé, who was informed that I really really wanted an ink print. But he didn't know/think specifically to ask for ink when he called the company and just said paw print. It is standard for them to give a ceramic paw print, but not ink. We just went and picked everything up and while everything else was absolutely beautiful, to say that I am absolutely DEVASTATED to not have a true ink print of his paw with all the little nuances specific to my baby is an understatement. I think it's important to add that in here because a couple other reviews that I read between yelp and Google specifically stated getting ink prints (they all said they weren't expecting them, but it did make it sound like it was a regular thing) which is why I didn't double down and follow back up myself to make sure that this happened The girl working the front desk was so sweet and did her absolute best to try to get a quick one from the mold that was used for the ceramic, but it's just not the same and it's definitely not exact With that said, this company was timely in pickup and absolutely everyone we've interacted with was so sweet.
