Book here if you would like to sleep with mice and rodent poop! Rodent poop was found in "cleaned towels" and in "cleaned bed sheets." Managed was contacted immediately using their after hours emergent number. Management was notified and NEVER followed up with this incident!! Horrible experience! As we were unable to sleep that night! As a matter of a fact I had to keep calling their office once it opened the following day to follow up on this incident and was requesting a full refund!! Management said that no refund could be provided for the initial night that we checked in despite sending proof of poop and rodents infestation!! Manager confirmed that if we're not going to stay the second night, they would rent the cabin out for the second night!!! Insane giving they now know about this infestation and are choosing to just scam people knowing there is serious safety and rodent infestation!! I feel sorry for whoever thought they were getting lucky in finding cabin near Mammoth with a huge rush of snowboarders and visitors heading that way!!! Additionally, management was already be determined to not issue refund for the first night before I even explained the whole situation!!! AVIOD AT ALL COST! Posting picture so you see this place and what it comes with! If I could give zero out of 5 starts I had to go through the third site booking where I initially booked to obtain a full refund. Of course I showed them evidence of this infestation and only then they agreed to provide a refund for the first night !

The room was nice I stayed in the ice house. the breakfast was really good. There was a kitchen and a upstairs bedroom. The tv was nice they had the Cosby show and nfl games.

Sunset from the parking lot

I forgot to add pictures: sunrise from the lodge mountain views from my cabin Little MvGee, walks across the cabin in close by meadows, and easy hikes for families following rivers, forests and lakes. A great vacation for the family.

My family and I had a pleasant stay at McGee creek lodge over spring break. The communication was great and the service was excellent. We arrived after check in time and was promptly given check in instructions with the code to our cabin. Our cabin was stocked with everything from cutlery, pots and pans and the most important : COFFEE! There was a keurig and a coffee pot available and the lobby also had delicious fresh coffee every morning. We did run into some slight hiccups with the sleeper sofa and a visitor (critter in the wall, it is in the middle of nature after all) and management spoke to me and made the situation right. It was truly appreciated to be taken care of in such a professional manner. We enjoyed exploring the creek area which was just a few steps away from our cabin. Everyone on the staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back soon and look forward to our future visit!

This is a long one... My husband and I stayed in the Lake View cabin at McGee Creek Lodge this past weekend. We stayed Thursday night to Sunday, check out Sunday morning. McGee Creek Lodge is right off of the highway across from Crowley Lake. It is between Crowley and Convict Lake and sister to Convict Lake Resort. We found McGee Creek Lodge because my son went with some good friends to Convict Lake Resort where they are having their wedding in the summer and I asked him to pick up some trip brochures and he did and here we are. Husband and I wanted to go fishing but had no clue as to where to go or where to stay. Maps of the area that we have seen make it look like everything is so far away from everything else and I wanted something close to a lake. I figured McGee Creek Lodge with its separate little cabins with kitchens was perfect for my early breakfast eating husband and it had a jacuzzi...and it was. The lodge sits across from the RV and camping sites AND it has a fishing pond with some BIG trout. It's pay to fish and you don't need a fishing license on site to fish. If we still had little kids, my kids are adults, this would be our go to adventure in the summertime. I imagine I would have sent my husband away to fish on a lake or river and I would have hung out at the pond with the kiddos and taken them hiking or horseback riding, because THATS A THING!!!!! Next time I'm doing that. Anyway, we show up and the adorable rustic outside of the cabin is adorable. It has a small covered porch with a full sized propane BBQ and beyond that, with a gorgeous view of Crowley across the highway, is a ready and waiting jacuzzi big enough for four adults. Lake View Cabin is a single story cabin which is why I chose it, I didn't want stairs or I would have booked the Ice House cabin, which has some cool history behind it. The interior of the Lake View is spacious for a cabin...modern, light, airy and clean. We loved it. We felt isolated and it was so quiet, the shoosh of the big trucks moving on the highway and the rushing creek that borders the property lulled more than anything and we felt safe. The kitchen was nicely organized with keurig and drip coffee makers and full sized appliances with exception to the tiny dishwasher which was perfect. The windows had beautiful honey comb blinds that were easy to maneuver. The bathroom was fully stocked, they even provided make up remover packets and two plump, plush embroidered bath robes and extra towels. Large mounted television with lots of streaming opportunities like Netflix and prime...just don't forget to sign out when you leave. The jacuzzi was hot and ready to use. We sat out in it our second evening there and watched the bats swooping and flying, catching insects. Entry to the cabin was keyless, no one was there when we arrived, we didn't expect that though, according to the information I received and we picked up our paperwork and received the door code and instructions for stay and departure. At the end of our stay, we just wiped down the kitchen, put the trash out in the bear safe bin outside the cabin, washed the dishes we used in the dishwasher, put them away before leaving and closed the door. Everything was so easy. We loved it. Thank you McGee Creek Lodge.

Dried out any moisture in the room. Couldn't breathe with a dried sinus. Need some tender loving care. Overally complicated fancy shower head that is unnecessary in my opinion.. Money would have been better spent on a glass door instead of the bath tub curtains that kept me in the dark(my personal opinion of course). Serive- attentive and kind. The closest Westin @LAX has the fat comforters right now. The heavenly comforters should be year round. Not some half drawn out thing. Missing the lavender sleep rollers they used to put by the beds. Probably the most mediocre welcome drink pour I have ever had. Elevators scratched and hallways would benefit from touch up paint. Special applause for house keeping, they made our stay better. 3/2025 -- The best stay we have had. Thanks for the mid week room upgrade to a one bedroom. 1/2025 -- It's a solid option. I actually prefer the studio or 1 bedroom units over the 2 bedroom suites. The 2 bedroom penthouse is nice with the big windows. Across all the rooms, the couches are not very comfortable and the in room kitchen feels a little lackluster in appliance quality. Beds are comfortable. I would have designed the bedrooms with a chair or spot to sit. Housekeeping and front desk were warm and accommodating -- they delivered robes, towels, a dog bed, blankets, cutlery, extra pans, etc on a daily basis. Organized and prompt service. Issue with bill and wrong CC on file (which was my fault) resolved - no issue at all. Never rude or inconsiderate. Hallways could benefit from touch up paint. Elevator scratches would benefit from a polish. Active construction -- kind of a bummer if you own one of these units or you are facing the new project. Watch those bonvoy redemptions and rates (which were half what they are now prior to the property remodel in 2022). As most people know, the Marriott system squeezes and changes rapidly. 5/2024 -- Had a pleasant stay during May. Was a bit bummed with the 1pm checkout during a mid week stay as an Elite member prior to their peak season restarting. Trusting them with our entire family come Jan in one of the Luxury Two Bedroom suites. Will update then...

I came in here around 11am, however, their restaurant doesn't open until noon. There is a really nice lounge area where there are two fireplaces, jazz playing and a really cozy space to just relax. I just came here both days resting between XC sessions, ate some lunch I brought, had some water and just chilled out. Id definitely love to return and have a cocktail here and hang out here with a special someone, flirting the night away, plotting some clandestine tryst (maybe a beautiful hike into the mountains behind - looking at stars, listening for wild animals) and deeply enjoying life, big grins, and making each day count. We stayed in a cabin and it was fantastic. We had a deck overlooking Twin Lakes and the cliffs above, a kitchen where we cooked one night (who wants to leave heaven?), a fireplace, and was totally clean. The only downside and definitely a star deduction was perhaps it was too clean and smelled strongly of cleaning solution. We left open all the window and turned up the heat at night and turned on all the fans when we left for the day and by the second day, it was tolerable. Continental breakfast was fine with hard boiled eggs and yogurt for protein and cream cheese and peanut butter and all the toastable carbs. We loved our hikes and I loved kayaking on Twin Lakes. It's a perfect one-hour paddle and so peaceful up at the waterfall.

Convict Lake and Mammoth Lakes were on my bucket list for so many years. Living in the Bay Area means it's a rough 5-6 hours of driving through windy mountainous roads. Thus, we wanted to pick a place to stay that could provide us the comfort of home we needed. And Convict Lake Resort delivered! From the booking process to checking in and later checking out, everything was a breeze! We received emails reminder from staff detailing easy steps needed to check in. When it looked like we might arrive late, they promptly sent us instructions for self check in. Luckily we arrived on time before the gift shop close. Each cabin has 1 parking spot for your car. However, there are many parking spaces within walking distance to your cabin if you and your party happen to have more than 1 car. As soon as we opened the door into our cabin, our stress and exhaustion of the long drive melted away! We love the high vaulted ceiling, the warm woody interior and how spacious and clean the inside of our cabin was! It was so welcoming and smells so good! You could tell that the staff did a wonderful job cleaning and preparing for your stay! Thank you ! The kitchen area was another highlights of the cabin! It was big with full amenities! We used it so many times during our stay to cook our meals and everything in between! Microwaves, fridges, freezer, chopping board, plate wares, forks and spoons, etc. You name it, they have it! There's a door by the kitchen area which gave you access to the mini wood behind your cabin. We once spotted some deers here during twilight times . And the BATHROOM!!! We LOVE IT!! Super spacious with nice rain-forest shower head! After a long day being active outside like hiking, kayaking and other stuff, we came home to the cabin, hopped into the shower and let all our fatigue washed away! I swear this shower had some acupuncture magic as it soothed my tired body so well! The sliding door to the bathroom was so modern and chic itself. We love the tiny windows looking out to the wood beside our cabin. We joked to each other that "Number 2 with a great view !" Not only the inside was amazing, the outside porch area with the gas grill was another bonus! Never had we ever seen such a clean grill like this! Kudos again to the staff ! We utilized the grill many times during our visits and enjoyed a dinner or breakfast outdoor with our pup :) And first time in our life, we saw such a dog friendly place! Every cabin seemed to have at least one dog. My puppy Butter had such a wonderful socializing with all his furry friends and neighbors. We enjoyed walking around and checking out the resort on the lovely trails surrounding the resort and looked at all the amazing mountains. Convict Lake Resort is just 10 minutes of walking and 5 minutes of driving from Convict Lake. Location! Location! Location!! There's a lovely restaurant onsite that I'll review in details in another review :) Overall, AMAZING place and words cannot describe how satisfied we were! We'll definitely come back and recommend this place with all our family and friends :)

Comfort There is no central heating with thermostat so you have to use the wall unit. There's a noisy fan blowing so consider bringing some noise canceling headphones if you're going to go into that water. Swimwear might be sensible as well other than that I had a smooth check-in and they got all my particulars exactly right. 5 stars. comfort: bring earplugs because the doors in the hallways are heavy and loud. they're constantly slamming every time somebody comes and goes. The bathrooms are standing showers (no tubs). I always wish there was a handheld wand/hose instead of the spigot that just rains on you. Maybe consider bringing one of those handhelds too?

I…read moremean, if you're a skiier, you probably already know about it, but in the off season (before the snows), you can get a room for a low rate, and still have the whole of Mammoth Lakes at your doorstep to explore! Tons of shops, restaurants, breweries, distilleries, etc. await! For amenities, Juniper Springs Resort boasts a pool, an exercise room, a jacuzzi, and beautiful lounging areas. The rooms all have small balconies where you can get some fresh air and admire the scenery. And (we learned mid-trip) the resort is one of four regular stops for the local free shuttle/trolley that comes by every 30 minutes or so and is free to use. On top of that, the resort is adjacent to one of Mammoth Lakes' many ski lifts, so at least some of the runs are available literally right at your doorstep. The room we rented was comfortable and spacious, with a full kitchen, nice comfy living room with gas fireplace, and a separate bedroom, and there were TVs in both rooms. Parking, by the way, is underground, which is assuredly a huge perk during the winter snows. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay, and would definitely consider staying there again. Couple of things they could have done better: 1. Guests should be made aware at check-in of the availability of the shuttle/trolley. My sweetheart was stuck at the hotel for a day until we figured this out for ourselves, as even when asked about Uber/Lyft, the front desk never mentioned the shuttle. 2. The ice machine on the 4th floor was perpetually empty. Not sure if it was just being regularly raided by other guests, or if it was in need of service. 3. A blender we attempted to use (provided as one of the in-room amenities) leaked its contents out through the bottom seal like a seive. When I disassembled it to check the gasket, I found black mold. The front desk was unable to help, but offered to remove it for us. 4. The televisions in the room were not "smart" in the sense that we could not "cast" to them from our phones. We do this a lot, so it's not a user error thing. Just beware you will be limited to whatever viewing options the TV/cable service provides. PRO TIP 1: Hinging off of #3 above, the rooms in the resort are potentially privately owned. Apparently ours was, and was rented out as a sort of Air-BnB. This was the reason the hotel couldn't help with the blender, as it is not an item the resort provides, but was provided by the owner. PRO TIP 2: BEWARE THE ELEVATOR DOORS! They close VERY quickly after opening, and we were struck by them several times. Open the door, stick your hand in, and once everyone has gone in or out, then remove your hand. I'll end with a funny/silly observation. In the elevators was posted a list of the hotel regulations, among which were the parking requirements. The advisement ended with a warning that vehicles parked inappropriately, and not corrected within 24 hours, would have a "boot" affixed to their vehicle. In a nutshell, if your vehicle is parked in such a way that it is causing a problem, their "fix" will be to make that situation permanent. Totally makes sense.

They also offer ski valet right in the lobby, which makes the walk even shorter. Huge plus: boot dryers. Check-in was super easy, and we upgraded our room to one of their "condos." Just to set expectations: this isn't a full condo. It's essentially a hotel room with a small living area and a Murphy bed. Still comfortable and totally fine for what we needed. The best part of this hotel is that it's dog-friendly -- and truly dog-friendly. Any size dog, big or small, and there were dogs everywhere (including ours). There's a forested area behind the hotel that's perfect for letting your pup play in the snow. One downside: some guests don't pick up after their dogs, so there was dog poop around even though the hotel provides bag dispensers. Maybe adding more (or enforcing cleanup) would help. The price is good, the hotel is clean, but it is old -- very old -- and definitely showing its age. The hallway floors are uneven, the elevator makes some questionable noises, and nothing about it feels modern. That said, after skiing all day, the four hot tubs and heated pool are amazing and very much appreciated. I stay here for convenience, not luxury. The beds are comfortable, towels are clean, and that's honestly all we need. Plus, it's close to The Yodler, our favorite restaurant. We've stayed here many times before and will stay many times again.

The rooms are noisy with paper-thin walls--you can hear guests walking, talking, and moving around all night long, making it nearly impossible to sleep. It honestly felt like people were walking inside my room. The room itself is poorly maintained and outdated, with dirty, stained carpets and a bathroom that was not clean. Nothing felt refreshed or well cared for, which is unacceptable at this price point. Breakfast was equally terrible. The food was cold, the omelet was tough and rubbery, and overall the quality was far below expectations--borderline inedible. Between the noise, lack of cleanliness, outdated rooms, and overpriced rates, this place is absolutely not worth the money. I would not stay here again and do not recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable or restful stay.
