Awesome place for the family. Local and convenience
Tony M.

Cozy and convenient. After camping a few days, we landed here to rest and shower. Surprisingly, it turned out to be a very convenient lodge for local dining and bars. Everything within walking distance. There's even a very popular bar at the lodge, in the cellar....yes the cellar! A true must stay and experience if your in mammoth!

Last minute booking but was not disappointed, actually pleasantly surprised. First off the location is amazing! The rooms were clean, very happy with the amenities offered. Little surprises at the front desk every morning. Stickers, ice scraper, snacks, friendly staff. 2 restaurants/bars connected, you don't even have to go outside. Hot tub and sauna downstairs. Pool was closed because of the temps, but there is a pool. Tons of parking. Highly recommend for the price you cannot do any better. I will definitely be staying here again.

Our room was nice and the facilities are good. There is a pool though we didn't use it. If you go in summer, expect the room to be pretty warm. Our fireplace was giving off heat, despite being turned off and the front desk wasn't helpful about it.

Cleanliness: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Comfort: 2/5 Noise: 4/5 Overall: A relatively clean hotel but no AC in a very small room. The extended review... Cleanliness: 4/5 - The linens and towels were clean. Service: 5/5 - Martha was super friendly and helpful. I called for an early check in and she was very helpful in accommodating. Comfort: 2/5 - The beds were comfortable. One issue was that the room and bathroom were a bit tight. And the most important part was there was no air conditioning...it wasn't listed on the amenities but in this day and age I would expect I would need to check...guess not. Noise: 4/5 - Thankfully not that noisy.

This is a very cute and comfortable hotel lodge in an amazingly beautiful tourist trap of an area. The inside and outside has a Germanic or Swedish Lodge feel and there is always someone at the front desk willing to serve you. Due to the pandemic, maid services are only available upon request, however, our trip will be short so it's fine. I appreciate that the bathroom lights are motion sensores so you aren't going to be fumbling around in the middle of the night looking for a light switch. The carpet throughout is a bit dated and old but it's clean and the beds are comfortable.

Reviews are mixed. Many highlight the proximity to the village, clean and comfortable rooms, and friendly front desk staff. The popular on-site bar and amenities are also appreciated.

This is a rustic lodge that is right next to the village. The location is amazing. We will be coming back.

Ok, location, room is fine. No elevators or ADA access. Don't stay if you can't maneuver stairs.

I've taken a few of ski lessons in Mammoth. Two at Main and another at Canyon. All of these lessons…read morehave been during the spring, the first two back in 2024 and the last lesson being in Canyon this year. I'm very pleased to say that I've only had really great instructors and I've been lucky enough to have very small groups. My first couple of lessons were booked as beginning group lessons but ended up as private lessons. This year, I was paired with an another skier who was really close to my skill level. The entry point for skiing is not cheap. I feel like not only did I get my money's worth but I gained so much knowledge and great memories from these lessons. I feel confident going down the mountain and even went down my first Black Diamond! From beginner to going down a black in less than a handful of lessons feels like such an accomplishment and a true testament to the staff on this mountain.

Okay,, it's been some time since I was last up here skiing and it's significantly improved…read more Employee attitudes are better and local people are more upbeat as the town and mountain evolves into a destination resort. For the 2025/2026 season it was the location for good skiing and even more so in the later part. The strangest season I've ever seen. Snow then rain, hot then cold then hot again, but Mammoth came through with some very good skiing if you were there at the right time. Nice upgrades on the Mtn with high capacity lifts and grooming but would like to see better dining options at the Main Lodge. Another thought would be for Alterra to loosen up with lift ticket options and pricing instead of forcing one to purchase the Ikon. All considerations taken Mammoth is still a great ski mountain and I look forward to next season........

"Antonio Made Our Stay Unforgettable! Best Customer Service Ever!"…read more I wish I could give more than 5 stars! A huge thank you to Antonio for the outstanding customer service. We were originally planning to stay at another hotel, but Antonio convinced us to stay at The Village Lodge, and I'm so glad we listened to him! It turned out to be the best decision we made. He was extremely friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. People like Antonio are what make a hotel special. We will definitely be coming back, and honestly, he's one of the biggest reasons why. Thank you, Antonio, for making our stay so memorable!

We rented this condo to use for the night before and the night after my surgery…read more I was very impressed. The staff were friendly and professional. The parking garage was tight for my large truck, but it was nice being able to park right by the elevator and taking the elevator directly to my room. The room was relaxing and charming-which was exactly what I needed. The whole apartment was ADA (well almost). The bathroom was large and bright. It made it easy to maneuver with my injury and after surgery. I wish there was a handicapped bar by the toilet though. It was hard to get up and down without one. It looked like I wasn't the only one that was in need of that bar-the towel rack right by the toilet was partially pulled out of the wall as if someone used as an assistant aid. The bed was comfortable. That bed gave me the best sleeps I have had in a long time. The condo had fans in the rooms and an air conditioner in the living room. I have another surgery coming up in December, and I hope they have availability again for me.
