Fence with wire

Proximity to Yosemite was the only good thing about this place. There was no air conditioning. The woman at the desk said that I didn't pay for an air conditioned room. I paid almost $250 in a dump. Are you kidding? It was hot. There was a loud cooling fan that didn't do much. There were no windows. The only door was a sliding glass door with a screen that didn't lock. We felt unsafe leaving it open. The stairs down to the room are uneven and hazardous. The room itself was okay but the outside needs freshening up. There is a fence on the terrace that looks like one you would use to fence animals in. Not very attractive or inviting. Someone left a half used bottle of wine in the bathroom cabinet. Makes me wonder how well they cleaned. Overall a big rip-off. There are not many hotel choices in the area so they are taking advantage of customers. Delivering very little for a big price.

Visited the 3rd week in October for Eastern Serria Fall Colors for $249 (Peak price) Stayed in room 14 upstairs with a private balcony. Clean rooms. Large bedroom had one King and one Full size bed. The living room had a pullout sofa. Fridge, microwave, flat screen TV in both rooms. Heat termastat in all rooms. Great View Really enjoyed my stay here!

I can give three stars in evaluation of this property only for two reasons: 1. It has a great view of the Mono lake; 2. There is a cat named Ozzy living on the property, and he's really something, if you are a cat lover you'll find him really amazing. All the rest leaves much to be desired. But I doubt that you find anything better in this Lee Vining. The room we had was pretty spacious; the same goes for the bathroom. The bed wasn't creaking or making any noise like some write in their reviews. But the pillows were cheap and not comfortable, don't expect any goose down or something. Everything inside as well as outside looks quite beat up, but if you're staying overnight only - you can survive. One thing I hated the most was - the insects - there was a whole sanctuary of these different little butterflies, flies, moths etc flying around at night and especially attracted to the light in your room. They don't have any fridge or microwave in the room, only coffee maker. But you can use their fridge in the office as well as microwave is there. Open from 8am-10pm. The coffee and tea they provide there too. The stuff is really nice, by the way. The best view opens from the parking lot. If the price was 3 times cheaper - that would suit more for the place, but due to the lake and Yosemite park in the area - they charge you a lot more...

Lake View Lodge worked fine for us as a one-night stop while traveling from Lassen Volcanic…read moreNational Park toward Death Valley National Park, mainly to spend some time exploring Mono Lake. For one night, it served its purpose perfectly well. But honestly, if we had stayed longer, I probably would have agreed more strongly with many of the other reviews. The rooms definitely feel dark, outdated, and a little dingy. Not terrible, but very much the kind of place where you say, "Well... at least we are only here one night." The biggest frustration was the reservation situation. At check-in, we were told we had booked the wrong date, even though our confirmation through Booking.com clearly showed the correct reservation date. We ended up being charged, and now we have to sort it out afterward through Booking.com, which is frustrating because based on other reviews mentioning similar issues, it honestly seemed more like a property-side problem than ours. Now for the surprisingly good part: the little café upstairs, which I believe may be associated with the lodge. That place was actually really enjoyable. Great views, a lovely outdoor yard area to sit and eat, and genuinely good food with huge portions. And when I say huge, I mean the burrito could probably qualify as emergency wilderness survival equipment. If you order it, prepare yourself. That thing could easily feed four people, no exaggeration. We may still be digesting it somewhere between Mono Lake and Death Valley. Overall, this is not a luxury stay by any means, but as a practical overnight stop near Mono Lake, it worked well enough. Just double-check your reservation details carefully and maybe arrive with realistic expectations about the rooms. Oh! And bring your own soap, they have this little quarter size soaps who are you kidding? My hands were laughing.

The staff was very friendly and willing to talk about restaurants and the best way to get to Yosemite and other questions that we had. The whole property was well kept and felt very safe easy driving directions to get to our hotel room. We were blessed with a hotel first floor had a great patio out, looking into a wooded area. Parking was very easy we park just a few spots away from our hotel room. They EV charging stations for vehicles and other things plenty of handicap parking all throughout the facility and also a restaurant right in the middle of this place so you don't have to go very far to get good food Speaking of good food, their breakfast buffet by far put it over the top because a lot of times you go to hotels and you get maybe a continental breakfast just a few items and you're not really interested in those items but this breakfast buffet was overwhelming because it was so amazing and on this trip we finally got to eat a good meal at a hotel They had pancake sausage, eggs, different kinds of bacon, like four or five different juices, six or seven different coffees, bagels plenty of people behind the counter to serve you fresh fruit, all kind of stuff and it was well laid out. A very relaxing environment that you can walk in get your breakfast sit down and really enjoy your time there and go back for seconds and know it was gonna be hot and fresh every time so I truly recommend this place because of how relaxing it was how easy it was to get in and out of and the food quality for breakfast was amazing. The only thing that was a little bit still out of date, but still look good was the rooms they are older style rooms not updated like a lot of other places are, but it was an amazing stay great facilities and we will stay here every time we go to Yosemite

The place has such a cozy, nostalgic charm, you really feel like you're tucked away in a quiet mountain town, but still close to everything you need. The cottage was super clean and had everything we needed: a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and even a little fireplace that made the evenings feel extra special. The location couldn't be better, just a short walk to June Lake Marina, restaurants, a general store. We spent the day exploring the lakes and trails, and in the evening, we grilled outside with the kids. The whole vibe is very family-friendly and peaceful. It felt like a little mountain escape without having to "rough it." We'd definitely come back again, it's the kind of place you want to revisit every year. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet, comfortable, and charming place to stay in June Lake with kids!

The building is in a very walkable area. Check in was easy and the people who run the place seem sweet. Cons The walls are so thin that you hear EVERYTHING that your neighbors are doing. The first night I had to endure singing, loud talking, laughing, screaming for hours! My husband went and knocked on the door at 10:20 p.m. to ask the girls to quiet down, but it made no difference. The walls are just too thin. The second evening new people came who were just as loud, so we cut our trip short and just went home. Maybe the stand-alone cabins don't have this issue, but the cabin we were in shared walls and we heard every dog bark, toilet flush, phone conversation, etc. It wasn't very relaxing, and I felt like it put a damper on our vacation weekend. If noise doesn't bother you or you are in a stand-alone cabin, you will probably have a better experience than we did.

We decided to do an overnight to visit Yosemite's high country, the ghost town of Bodie and a few other places along the amazing Highway 395. While in our travels, we've been through Bridgeport several times, and usually stop in town to eat or refuel, we've never stayed in town for a night. I booked the hotel online, which was very convenient. The price was right, and I feel like I got exactly what I expected for my purchase. This location has a lovely park like feel, with single story rooms in the shape of an L around it. It is located right off the main street, and close enough to walk to several food locations. Parking for each room is right outside--which is especially nice. The rooms are modest but clean, with comfortable beds and all that you would need to have a good stay. Some of the furniture was starting to show some wear, but it didn't impact the function or comfort of the space. I really appreciated how friendly everyone at the reception desk was, both in recommending places to grab dinner or breakfast, and also in knowledge about the surrounding areas. Convict Lake and Mammoth Lakes were on my bucket list for so many years. Living in the Bay Area means it's a rough 5-6 hours of driving through windy mountainous roads. Thus, we wanted to pick a place to stay that could provide us the comfort of home we needed. And Convict Lake Resort delivered! From the booking process to checking in and later checking out, everything was a breeze! We received emails reminder from staff detailing easy steps needed to check in. When it looked like we might arrive late, they promptly sent us instructions for self check in. Luckily we arrived on time before the gift shop close. Each cabin has 1 parking spot for your car. However, there are many parking spaces within walking distance to your cabin if you and your party happen to have more than 1 car. As soon as we opened the door into our cabin, our stress and exhaustion of the long drive melted away! We love the high vaulted ceiling, the warm woody interior and how spacious and clean the inside of our cabin was! It was so welcoming and smells so good! You could tell that the staff did a wonderful job cleaning and preparing for your stay! Thank you ! The kitchen area was another highlights of the cabin! It was big with full amenities! We used it so many times during our stay to cook our meals and everything in between! Microwaves, fridges, freezer, chopping board, plate wares, forks and spoons, etc. You name it, they have it! There's a door by the kitchen area which gave you access to the mini wood behind your cabin. We once spotted some deers here during twilight times . And the BATHROOM!!! We LOVE IT!! Super spacious with nice rain-forest shower head! After a long day being active outside like hiking, kayaking and other stuff, we came home to the cabin, hopped into the shower and let all our fatigue washed away! I swear this shower had some acupuncture magic as it soothed my tired body so well! The sliding door to the bathroom was so modern and chic itself. We love the tiny windows looking out to the wood beside our cabin. We joked to each other that "Number 2 with a great view !" Not only the inside was amazing, the outside porch area with the gas grill was another bonus! Never had we ever seen such a clean grill like this! Kudos again to the staff ! We utilized the grill many times during our visits and enjoyed a dinner or breakfast outdoor with our pup :) And first time in our life, we saw such a dog friendly place! Every cabin seemed to have at least one dog. My puppy Butter had such a wonderful socializing with all his furry friends and neighbors. We enjoyed walking around and checking out the resort on the lovely trails surrounding the resort and looked at all the amazing mountains. Convict Lake Resort is just 10 minutes of walking and 5 minutes of driving from Convict Lake. Location! Location! Location!! There's a lovely restaurant onsite that I'll review in details in another review :) Overall, AMAZING place and words cannot describe how satisfied we were! We'll definitely come back and recommend this place with all our family and friends :)
