Toilet is literally 2 inches from wall. If you are older than 9, or right handed, or have hips, or shoulders, it's pretty much unusable

My expectations are not high, but in a hotel I'd like a reasonably comfortable bed, a usable bathroom, the ability to control the temperature, and of course cleanliness. The toilet in our room was unusable by all but our 9 year old since it is installed literally 2 inches from the side wall. An adult would have to sit sideways, which for a man at least, doesn't work out so well! I uploaded a picture, so see for yourself. And that is a very small toilet mind you. Try putting a chair 2 inches from the wall on it's right side, sit down, and try to figure out how you'd manage. Knees pressed together, leaning over to your left with your right shoulder pressed into wall. How to manage hygiene if your right handed? Can't. I immediately requested another room when we saw it and the desk clerk said all the rooms were like that. We had to use the bathroom at the coffee shop down the street. Not what we paid for. As far as the temperature goes, we had the two queen beds for a family of four. The AC unit is installed on the floor next to one of the beds. In the summer, the AC needs to be left on all night, and the air blasts directly on the person lying in the bed next to it. Guess who got the honors? That's right, dad, the guy who booked the room. My right side was frozen all night. I would not recommend anyone stay there.

A nice quiet motel at a high altitude of 7000ft overlooking Mono Lake, cheap, they accept AAA, walking distance from all of Lee Vinning. Clean, hot water, working room heaters. Good launching point for Mono Lake and Bodie (Yosemite when it's not snowed in). WIFI. Must stay again =)

A-ok!!- Very clean and the ONLY dog-friendly place in town! It's an old motel and could really use some updating, but it's very clean and Cj (the new owner I think?) is very nice and helpful! The room was very large, and there was a flat-screen TV, no funky dog smells or hair anywhere! As it is I would not want to stay more that a couple nights, just because it REALLY needs some updating, and for the price ($118 w/ dog) I would expect a little more (like maybe a king size bed, which they don't have). Also, there was a little fridge and coffee maker, but no microwave. Being an old building the sound is not so great; creaky floors and thin walls, but we were placed in a room upstairs and in the back away from the road so it was not so bad for us. I guess that means you should ask for upstairs and away from the road? Oh also, I thought it was kinda weird that many of the reviews kept mentioning the outstanding water pressure, but it's true! No aerators on the faucets, and be careful when turning them on because that water SHOOTS out!

This is the speeds. Basic stuff but will get you by.

Well priced, especially for rooms with a kitchen. Shower had mold and mildew but the rest of the room was clean.

Stay AWAY from this nasty lodge!!…read more We planned for two night with this lodge on the July 4th weekend through 2 separate bookings - one through an online agency as the 4th night was sold out quickly around the area, and one reservation by phone. Upon our arrival, they noticed there are some discrepancies in our number of guests as the online bookings indicates 2 adults and my phone reservation indicates 2 adults and 2 kids. I explained that the online booking happened too fast. I probably did not even notice the guest number discrepancy. So the front desk assistant called his female hotel manager in. Here is how the scenes began: The moment she arrived, her first question was "Do you realize it's a felony to lie about the number of guest of your booking? We cannot host you." Obviously, She came in with the already formed pre-assumption that we are trying to lie to them. Lady, in case you have any sort of logical thinking ability - think about this: had I wanted to lie about the number of guests, I wouldn't have told the truth on my phone reservation. At that point I started to beg her as I knew all nearby hotels were sold out and we were traveling with two young children. She then threatened to call the sheriffs if we don't leave. We ended up leaving and luckily was able to find a town nearby with available room for 2 nights. I also checked online about her alleged statement over "felony crime" on hotel booking. There is NO such thing! It is really UNNECESSARY for her to make such a falsified threat to her customers. It is an irony that someone working in the hospitality industry with such a nasty and hostile personality. I really feel sorry for the owner of the Lake View Lodge to hire such an incompetent hotel manager. Traveling around the world, she is absolutely the most unpleasant hotel management I've encountered, bar none. On our way out in the car, my kids said she looked like a Karen. Laughing at it, I have to admit she's very much an ill-intended one! Your money would be better spent somewhere else. Stay away from this place as far as you can. Their management has absolute no human decency at all!!!

The staff was very friendly and willing to talk about restaurants and the best way to get to Yosemite and other questions that we had. The whole property was well kept and felt very safe easy driving directions to get to our hotel room. We were blessed with a hotel first floor had a great patio out, looking into a wooded area. Parking was very easy we park just a few spots away from our hotel room. They EV charging stations for vehicles and other things plenty of handicap parking all throughout the facility and also a restaurant right in the middle of this place so you don't have to go very far to get good food Speaking of good food, their breakfast buffet by far put it over the top because a lot of times you go to hotels and you get maybe a continental breakfast just a few items and you're not really interested in those items but this breakfast buffet was overwhelming because it was so amazing and on this trip we finally got to eat a good meal at a hotel They had pancake sausage, eggs, different kinds of bacon, like four or five different juices, six or seven different coffees, bagels plenty of people behind the counter to serve you fresh fruit, all kind of stuff and it was well laid out. A very relaxing environment that you can walk in get your breakfast sit down and really enjoy your time there and go back for seconds and know it was gonna be hot and fresh every time so I truly recommend this place because of how relaxing it was how easy it was to get in and out of and the food quality for breakfast was amazing. The only thing that was a little bit still out of date, but still look good was the rooms they are older style rooms not updated like a lot of other places are, but it was an amazing stay great facilities and we will stay here every time we go to Yosemite

The building is in a very walkable area. Check in was easy and the people who run the place seem sweet. Cons The walls are so thin that you hear EVERYTHING that your neighbors are doing. The first night I had to endure singing, loud talking, laughing, screaming for hours! My husband went and knocked on the door at 10:20 p.m. to ask the girls to quiet down, but it made no difference. The walls are just too thin. The second evening new people came who were just as loud, so we cut our trip short and just went home. Maybe the stand-alone cabins don't have this issue, but the cabin we were in shared walls and we heard every dog bark, toilet flush, phone conversation, etc. It wasn't very relaxing, and I felt like it put a damper on our vacation weekend. If noise doesn't bother you or you are in a stand-alone cabin, you will probably have a better experience than we did.

Convict Lake and Mammoth Lakes were on my bucket list for so many years. Living in the Bay Area means it's a rough 5-6 hours of driving through windy mountainous roads. From the booking process to checking in and later checking out, everything was a breeze! We received emails reminder from staff detailing easy steps needed to check in. When it looked like we might arrive late, they promptly sent us instructions for self check in. Luckily we arrived on time before the gift shop close. Each cabin has 1 parking spot for your car. However, there are many parking spaces within walking distance to your cabin if you and your party happen to have more than 1 car. As soon as we opened the door into our cabin, our stress and exhaustion of the long drive melted away! We love the high vaulted ceiling, the warm woody interior and how spacious and clean the inside of our cabin was! It was so welcoming and smells so good! You could tell that the staff did a wonderful job cleaning and preparing for your stay! Thank you ! The kitchen area was another highlights of the cabin! It was big with full amenities! We used it so many times during our stay to cook our meals and everything in between! Microwaves, fridges, freezer, chopping board, plate wares, forks and spoons, etc. You name it, they have it! There's a door by the kitchen area which gave you access to the mini wood behind your cabin. We once spotted some deers here during twilight times . And the BATHROOM!!! We LOVE IT!! Super spacious with nice rain-forest shower head! After a long day being active outside like hiking, kayaking and other stuff, we came home to the cabin, hopped into the shower and let all our fatigue washed away! I swear this shower had some acupuncture magic as it soothed my tired body so well! The sliding door to the bathroom was so modern and chic itself. We love the tiny windows looking out to the wood beside our cabin. We joked to each other that "Number 2 with a great view !" Not only the inside was amazing, the outside porch area with the gas grill was another bonus! Never had we ever seen such a clean grill like this! Kudos again to the staff ! We utilized the grill many times during our visits and enjoyed a dinner or breakfast outdoor with our pup :) And first time in our life, we saw such a dog friendly place! Every cabin seemed to have at least one dog. My puppy Butter had such a wonderful socializing with all his furry friends and neighbors. We enjoyed walking around and checking out the resort on the lovely trails surrounding the resort and looked at all the amazing mountains. Convict Lake Resort is just 10 minutes of walking and 5 minutes of driving from Convict Lake. Location! Location! Location!! There's a lovely restaurant onsite that I'll review in details in another review :) Overall, AMAZING place and words cannot describe how satisfied we were! We'll definitely come back and recommend this place with all our family and friends :)
