He had them on a previous trip a couple years ago and they obviously were so memorable it was his only request. On our last day before heading home to NC we got out early to be there shortly after they opened so we could have the best selection. I don't know how anyone leaves here with less than 6 of their delicious pastries. We got 6 regular and 6 mini versions. We took the box and immediately sat outside to take a bite of each regular one. Wow! I remember when the cronut became a huge thing and I took a trip to NYC to try them from Dominque Ansel Bakery. They are delicious. These from Five Daughters truly are so so good too! Plus they have more variety and I don't need a plane ticket! The service is very friendly and they didn't rush me making my choices. The interior is bright and welcoming and although they don't have any indoor seating there are some tables outside to sit and enjoy your treats. 10/10 I'll be back when I'm in Nashville or near any other Five Daughters locations again.

I chatted with someone who worked there and she was very pleasant. I wish I had asked her name. She was cleaning windows and rearranging plants. I'm a crazy plant lady so this was right up my alley.. I arrived at 11:10 AM, nearly two hours before closing, only to find employees already wiping down shelves and starting cleanup. When I asked about glazed donuts--their signature item--I was told, "That's all we have left." There were maybe 30 donuts sitting in the display case, but not a single glazed donut. Let me get this straight: you're known for glazed donuts, you're still almost two hours from closing, and you're completely out of the product people drive there to buy? Meanwhile, employees were cleaning, taking out trash, and acting like the store was about to close. If you're going to stay open until 1:00 PM, customers should reasonably expect to find your most popular item available. Driving 30-40 minutes for no glazed donuts and a store that looked like it was already shutting down was incredibly disappointing. Complete joke!!
