We've used Mcfarland Remodeling a few projects in the past. The most recent project was replacing a missing brick on the outside of the unit above mine at our apartment building. Charles responded quickly as always, and had his mason, Jose, contact me right away. Jose quoted me a price for the repair the was very reasonable, and he and his team replaced the missing brick as well as sealed/waterproofed the deck above me to ensure no more water would get inside my ceiling. McFarland Remodeling always does a great job and they are very professional. I cannot say that about other contractors I have worked with in the past. I will definitely reach out to Charles and his crew again for a future remodeling project in my home. read more

After our basement flooded, we needed to replace some damaged drywall. A few hours after our phone call, Charles stopped by to take a look and measure. Before I contacted McFarland Remodeling, Inc., I knew I needed a plumber first, then someone who could help me locate a piece for a broken sliding closet door. I asked my door-person for a plumbing recommendation, and he told me that Charles McFarland came highly recommended by others in my building. I called Charles, left a voicemail, and he returned my call within an hour and was at my condo about an hour later for a consultation. I didn't know all of the correct terms for what was wrong with my shower, other than something needed to be replaced so I could get hot water. Charles figured it out right away, as well as consulting with me on my closet doors and promising to have everything finished the next day. His associate, Abraham, came the next day and in 3.5 hours I had hot water in my shower and completely new closet doors installed, including removal of the old track and installation of a new track and a floorboard replaced. They even shopped for the doors for me! Charles was in and out checking on the work and shopping for parts while Abraham worked, and I really appreciated their efficiency, kindness, and professionalism. I needed to have a water damaged ceiling, and several walls with small holes and marks repaired. McFarland Remodeling did an excellent job and was very professional. We reached out to Charles to repair some dry wall that got wet from a leaky shower. Charles suggested a more involved shower remodel to prevent future leaking and we agreed. A few months later, the shower started leaking in to the wall again. It took Charles a week to send someone over, but when he did, he repaired it again. A month later, the shower started leaking yet again. This time, Charles refused to come over and implied that we did something to the shower to cause the leaking. He has not returned our calls. It's been such a disappointing experience that has unfolded over months. read more
