Guy was nice because he looked around my home and saw money. When I received the quote and asked how long it would take, no response was given. Big red flag-shady. Did it myself for fifty bucks in materials, which included a $10 masonry bit (tool to use again), and it took three hours. Five hundred an hour is fifty dollars more than what I pay my lawyer. I was told when installation was going to be instead of being asked. When that date didn't work, the owners had a very bad attitude. I had to keep calling and messaging to get a date. The day of installation seemed fine. The next day my husband was deep in our yard and saw a small section of roof was not replaced. I called the owner and he tried saying my husband told him not to do that part! He was literally yelling in the phone like he was crazy. His wife co-owner, came out the next day and apologized for his behavior. She even stated "why wouldn't you do that section?". She said that they had been arguing about this. She said that he did not estimate the cost for that section! She said he would send an estimate for it and for me to call her afterwards and she would give us a materials only price. So I did, and she gave me that price, but never in writing, it seemed like a side agreement since she was arguing with her husband. She said she would talk with him about scheduling. I got no call back. I messaged, no reply, I called, no answer ...over and over for two weeks. I messaged her that I was about to call the Better Business Bureau if I didn't hear back by the next evening. Within a few minutes, the both learned how to use their phones, but only to deny the problem and send me a letter, completely distorting the facts and attempting to blame us for their neglect! Marianne Hall (wife and co-owner) is fully aware of her husband George's behavior. She even recounted several instances where we flew off the handle with other clients. This is all totally unacceptable. Additionally, we found a few shingles, and nails scattered around over the next few days. The crew left some ruts in the yard after going off of the side drive they were asked to stay away from. I overlooked these things, but now they are just a part of the full picture. At this point I would not trust them to complete the job. Their work was incomplete, communication and timeliness of appointments was terrible, the yelling and bad attitudes were the final straw! Awful experience.

(winter 2018) They gave us their availability, and came on time when they said they would. The problem took some diagnosing and a follow-up appointment to make sure that the venting of the chimney was corrected. They also did some insulating and that greatly helped with the down draft of cold air that had been pouring in from the fire-place. Meaghan was very helpful in instructing us in how to use the fireplace, since we had never had gas logs in any of our previous houses. Everyone from Complete Chimneys was completely friendly and professional. The price was fair, reasonable, and close to the original estimate. I highly recommend Complete Chimneys, and would certainly use them again.
