great communication and interaction from start to finish. would highly recommend for a variety of house projects

This is not a review on this firm's work. I have worked with them before as you can see by my previous reviews and they do good work. And generally any issues they address. This relates to what comes across as current communication issues. And if I come to Yelp and highlight the good, it is only fair to also highlight when an experience with a company... is not good. I do not have a problem with a business being busy. That is a good problem for a business to have. My issue comes, when instead of saying you are busy, the business continually makes appts or followups they do not keep. At that point you do something I have a problem with, you waste the one thing none of us can afford to waste, you waste time. In this case you waste my time and that, especially when you do it repeatedly, I find annoying and unprofessional. If you can't do a job, say that, I am happy to give business to others. And it is preferable to over-promising and under-delivering. Will not belabor the point, that is my most recent experience. And hopefully this review saves you... time. Thanks. read more

I recently used Lucas Special Service for a soffit repair. Earl and his son Robbie were able to do my our small job the same morning that I called. They communicated well, showed up when I expected them, and efficiently did the work for the fair price that i was quoted. I would call them again for future work. Thank you Earl and Robbie! read more

I was looking for a gutter cleaning service. I came across Lucas Special Services online and sent an email. lSS is a locally owned and operated dad and son team. They responded first thing the following morning and came out same day to provide an estimate. I went ahead and scheduled gutter cleaning and flush out. They came the next day, early. Prior to the scheduled appointment, they called in advance. When they were on their way, I received an automated text. When they showed up, I was immediately handed a business card and they wore sweatshirts and hats representing the company. When service began, I received an automated text as well as when service ended. I also received an auto email receipt. The service was completed extremely timely and efficiently. Additionally, polite and happy. Finding reliable and reasonable home services isn't always easy. I would absolutely recommend this team for services. read more

Highly recommend! I needed help with setting up my window AC unit and getting a quote on my gutters. I saw that Lucas Special Services was recommended through Yelp, Google, and NextDoor, so I checked out their website and called. From beginning to end, communication was great! They were very professional yet friendly, respectful of my home, and got the job I needed done. I will be calling them in the future to tackle my "home to-do" list. Seriously, look at their website and see what home tasks are listed that they could take off your list. read more

Lucas special services has been our go to since we bought our home 9 years ago! We recommend them 100%. Professional work with great prices! And their response time is prompt. We had a squirrel move into one of our second floor vents and it began destroying the cover and living inside the vent. I searched for a company on Yelp that could help us with our situation and Lucas Special Services responded with 10 min of my quote request. Thankfully they were available the next business day. They gave us a package deal on gutter cleaning and repairing the damage to our vent. They were on-time, quick, and got everything done with great care! (No squirrels were harmed!) We will be working with them again soon for other projects! read more

We called Lucas Special Services to clean our gutters and they came out the very same morning! They arrived early, handed us their business cards, and got right to work. Robert handled the gutters while Earl walked around the yard to do a few estimates on future projects with us. Both gentlemen were very personable, very reasonable, and very professional. We can't wait to hire them again for more projects around our house! read more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! I hired Lucas Special Services to replace my dryer vent and to pressure wash and re-sand the paver joints on my patio. They installed the dryer vent without screwing the hood into the wall - just sticking it on the end of the duct work and caulking. They did an extremely poor job pressure washing - I had to spend 2 hours wire brushing the joints to get out the moss they could have easily removed with the hose. They first suggested putting polymeric sand down while the patio was still wet (!!!), which I refused to allow. When they came back to finish the job, they had no compactor, no leaf blower, and it wasn't even clear that had a push broom. They told me a compactor was not necessary. Lazy, poor quality, dishonest. read more

I called on Saturday and spoke with Mr Lucas about having my gutters cleaned due to my ceiling leaking from a bad storm. He and his crew were able to come Monday to do the job and they got it done in like 20mins. They also told me the issues I had with my roof and took pictures to show me. There was another storm later that night with rain and hail and I had no leaking read more

I discovered Lucas Special Services online via Groupon. I decided not to buy a Groupon but rather call them directly. I was impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism. Scheduling was a breeze. Mr. Lucas and his team arrived on time. They got the job done. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them. I will be doing business again with them again in the future for my home improvement needs. read more

Scheduled an appointment with Mr. Lucas, he selected the date and time for a week later and I agreed. Didn't receive a confirmation the day before so I had to text and call myself, and at that time I was told that that time no longer worked and that he needed to come 4 hours later. I guess I would have just been left waiting had I not called. Then shortly before that appointment I received a call saying that he could no longer make it and that he'd call me the next day to reschedule and I never heard from him again. Disappointing. read more

Super fast response, did an awesome job installing multiple shower rods. The price was very reasonable for the work they did .The only issues I had was the lack of cleanup. I definitely would recommend the father and son team again! read more

Stay away from this company. I bought a Groupon for them to clean my gutters in July, 2020. It took 9 months of me trying to get in contact with them before they actually came out and provided the services. They damaged the shingles on the roof and proceeded to throw all of the leaves and debris from the gutters all over my newly graded and seeded yard. They could not have been more unprofessional if they had to be. I'm very sorry that I purchased this Groupon. read more
