They were assiduous craftsmen and did an excellent job including preparation, repairing/replacing support wood as needed, and installing the new shingles. Despite being most careful during the work, after they were finished they conscientiously surveyed the area prior to leaving despite the hour and rain. Prior to the actual work AHS made us aware of the damage to our roof from hail and windstorms and worked with the insurance company to facilitate the transaction and make it as easy as possible for us. Our primary contact was Seth but everyone at AHS was prompt and cordial. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Their presentation was very professional and things were broken down in a very clear and easy to follow manner. Their pricing seems reasonable for the work that they needed to do. Once we approved the work, Piney Orchard Roofing was able to get us on the schedule pretty quickly. The work took two days, but that was because of the extreme heat and we needed a lot of panels replaced. After the work was finished, Tony made sure to answer any remaining questions I had and that the work was quality. I will keep folks posted how things look a few years from now, but I would say Piney Orchard Roofing is an A+ company to work with.

The job ended up taking a bit longer than expected (due to all the plywood replacement). The crew did struggle a bit to get started on time, but I'm very happy with the quality of the work which more than makes up for it. After scheduling, the scheduling manager continued to contact me numerous times, prior to our meeting, to confirm my availability, in which I double checked all the pieces above. Never was I told to allow for a 30minute window, so imagine my frustration when I blocked off an hour for work 2:00-3:00pm, and the guy showed up at 2:30pm, upset with me because I needed to end at 3:00pm. The estimate went quickly. I tried to cover everything we wanted, allowing time for him to take measurements, draw schematics, and have time for follow-up questions, but it felt disconnected and rushed. I was told we would schedule a follow-up Zoom appointment to walk through everything- I scheduled a time period with the scheduling manager, again blocking off work- only to have them call 20mins before the appointment and cancel on us because they weren't ready with information. Then I waited days for them to call back to re-schedule the appointment, but never got contacted. Overall, it wasn't a good relationship. We didn't feel cared for or considered as new clients, so we removed them as a possible vendor.

"On February 4th, I notified that the caps were missing from my gate. I informed the lender of my satisfaction expecting great customer service and that this issue would be satisfied and in a decent timeframe. To date there has been no action taken and my texts are now going unanswered. There is also issues with the lock. If I knew the follow up would be this way, I never would have approved the lender to remit payment without having these issues fixed. I'm providing text correspondences that show the lack of communication and genuine concern with resolving what was a minor issue. I have been getting the run around and now nothing for more than a month".

In terms of overall satisfaction, I rate them the highest for any contracting service for my home that I have used. A friend of mine has used him for his current and previous homes roofing. First, they are low pressure, helpful, and thorough. They took care of a problem on my old roof four years ago by writing a letter to my insurance company that I had no structural problems with my old roof it was just algae making my roof look like it had depressed some areas form the air in need of repair. They did not charge me for this so when it was time to re-roof my house they had built a lot of good will. In August, Robert Hamel, the owner, inspected my current roof, and attic explained my options well including improving the poor ventilation in my soffits. He also inspected my gutters for wear and proper slope. Second, they are a small local business that has been in business since at least the early 80s so you get personalized service. Bradley Company is not an out of the area company that hires a lot of temporary people when they get busy that may not be as good as their regular workers. The foreman on the job Tony has worked with Robert for years. You have much confidence that they will be around in the long-run and that their business and customer base is local. Third, best price and warranty. I got estimates from five roofers and they were the best both in terms of price and installation quality. Robert Hamel is a four star shingle master roofer and he gave me a 15 year workmanship warranty on my CertainTeed roof. No other offer that I received included a 15 year workmanship warranty. I checked with the Maryland home improvement commission and they have not had a complaint since 2005. The record of no complaints for 12 years with excellent personal attention, pricing, and workmanship shows me an exemplary record of customer satisfaction. A great company to do business with. My new roof looks very nice.

It was pulling off my gutters and fascia board with it too. One more heavy wind situation, it was all coming down. Immediate help required. Some of the bigger roofing companies were too busy to get to me right away. I called Custom Home Exteriors. They didn't have a lot of reviews but the reviews they did have were rock solid so I thought I'd give them a shot. Glad I did. Wilfredo was able to come out the same day to inspect the job. We talked about what was needed for repair. He gave me a fair quote and was able to come back 2 days later. He was very personable and knowledgeable. I hired him. Wilfredo and his assistant did excellent work. Exceeded my expectations. My column, gutter and fascia board were repaired, looking good as new. I also had them put a covers on top of the open areas of the columns that should have been done when they were installed decades ago. Wilfredo didn't skimp on that job either. Went above and beyond. They neatly cleaned up when they were done. Wilfredo brought to my attention some of my other gutters were coming detached from the roof line and should be addressed at some point. I thanked him for his attention to detail. Preventative maintenance is cheaper than having to address problems after they occur. Wilfredo has earned my confidence.
