They are now serving the new snoopy toys in their happy meals. The color scheme is very trendy. They had a wood print on the back of a wall. The bathroom doors are printed also. The bathroom was an issue for me. They had sensors, but they didn't work. I know it wasn't I didn't know how to use it, there were multiple signs that said don't forget to flush. That wasn't an easy task as these were supposed to be hands free and thus the flusher wasn't obvious. After reading yet another sign I found one with an arrow that said push here. And it wasn't just a dainty press you had to really push the button. It took 3 separate big presses to get it to flush and this was just to flush pee. I really think they need to fix this issue before it becomes a sanitary problem. I can't see kids being able to flush, the literate or people that don't read a ton of signs are not going to flush. Anyone in a hurry isn't going to flush. The food was your typical food. I had hot chocolate and he and coffee. Be careful when looking for the driveway to enter. Stopped on our way to Carson. There was a lady leaving the mens bathroom after cleaning it. My husband didn't see the sign and started to walk in. She told him no no no it's closed. He said oh sorry I didn't see anything. She said "read the fucking sign ". He said did you just curse at me? She got flustered and said no I said fricken. He said you don't talk to customers like that. He went to the front and asked for a manager. The manager didn't speak English but got a translator and said she's cleaning still. My husband told her okay but she doesn't get to curse at customers If I was white this wouldn't be acceptable. The manager had someone go get the cleaning lady and took her in back for a minute then she back to work. No one at McDonald's apologized. A customer overheard it and apologized. A solid 4. Quick service, can't comment on cleanliness so much -- tables were average, but in the midst of a snowy day, you just can't do much with the floors. But a great location and turn-off for hot chocolate after throwing snowballs at the kid for a few minutes at the nearby Donner Pass rest area, and while it perhaps is goofy to drive three hours for a 30 minute snow fest, maybe you're right. We pulled into the drive through at 10:15pm on a Saturday night and the restaurant hours said this location was open until 11pm. There were employees (young looking kids who were then out of uniform in sweatshirts and sitting on the counters laughing to each other) inside the locked building, who looked at us as we pulled through the drivethru and waved mockingly making rude gestures as we sat their confused as to why they were not serving 45 minutes before their closing time. They then waved us off from inside the restaurant. Clearly management does not have this staff trained or under control at all and they have no interest in respecting or serving costumers when it does not suit their interests. read more

I wish I could give them a 0 zero. I stopped in on August 27, 2020 at 6:56 pm for a quick meal before I hit the freeway to home. I ordered a fish filet meal upgraded with large fries and a coffee. The coffee was the only thing worth the price....free. The fish was totally awful. It was barely warm, tasted like metal and very small. The bun was chewy. The fries were also not hot and chewy and tough. All this for $9.75. How long had these items been sitting under the heat lamp? I went back in and complained and got no response. I threw most of the meal away. I realize we are in a time of limited profit for many restaurants and fast food establishments. BUT to serve the food with such a lack of quality is appalling. I don't eat at McDonald's (or any other fast food establishment) very often but this has cured me forever. I intend to complain directly to the manager and to McDonald's corporate office. You will get your usual Big Mac or Quarter Pounder - but - if you use the drive-through be prepared to get a dampening as you approach and wait to pay and then receive your purchases: the roof overhang provides what is ever 'melting above' to wind up inside your vehicle as you roll your windows down to pay-and-go. Did a drive by..err...thru here yesterday to get birthday chicken mcnuggets for Storm (my Siberian Husky.) I don't each much fast food and I typically would not go inside to eat fast food. So will usually only judge them by the service and accuracy. And I wasn't getting any food for me. Besides, it's McDonald's and their food is pretty darn standard across all locations (which I was very thankful for in Paris!) But I did get one of their "Premium Coffees". I like Starbucks. So I ordered what I like as a treat at SBUX here. A tall (or small at MCD) mocha with an add shot and only 1 pump of chocolate (they put 4 in a small - HOLY SUGAR!) and they did it right! And with no sneering or complaints. Very nice. You'd be surprised at how many times this order is done incorrectly at other coffee stands or shops. As a shareholder of MCD - I appreciated the correct coffee order and quick drive through service. Also - Stormy and Angelus (my huskies) LOVED their mcnuggets :) read more

This is my favorite pit stop before heading in to the mountain. They have good service here and the food is always hot. They have several gas stations here and Starbucks coffee across the street. Inside this Mc Donald's its super clean except the bathroom, it needs a remodel. I've been here a couple times where they had the sausage mc muffin combo deal instead of one sandwich you get two for a little bit more. Like any average Mc Donald's it's all the same, should be same consistency. They have a large flat screen with news and weather up to date which is good if you're on the road. This location also have unlimited refills because you refill your drink yourself which is good deal!
