This McDonald's should be ashamed of itself. The ice cream is always broken. Literally for several months now, the ice cream has not worked. Unfortunately, this also means no McFlurry availability, no milkshake availability, etc. It is so disappointing, and I do not think the owners are even interested in EVER FIXING THIS or they certainly would have by now. If it's unfixable, get a new machine! Other food has been good here. Service is mediocre. Employees are not even apologetic with regard to the disappointment customers continue to experience with the ice cream continuing to be out of order long term. I was verbally abused by an employee named Mia. She used profanity and was screaming at me through the drive through window. I contacted the corporate office and they basically passed it off to the restaurant manager. I got an email from a regional asking if he could speak to me more about it and I replied and have not heard back since I reported this over three months ago. Over the last few weeks, the service/food at the 9251 E Shea, Scottsdale, AZ, location has significantly declined. I order curbside via the app almost daily. My first job at 14 was at McDs and I have eaten at hundreds of them worldwide. This one is in a nice, calm area of N. Scottsdale. There is plenty of parking in the large shopping center lot. The premises is clean with a nice play section for kids. There are plenty of booths which I enjoyed sitting in. Service is above average, one crew man even brought my food to my table a few times...I did not ask for that but I like that extra effort when crew have time. My 2 for $5 sausage Mcmuffin deal was hot and tasty. The soft-serve ice cream was great for only $1 and the large coffee for only $1.39 is a great deal. McDs coffee is underrated in my opinion. You make a bargain when you go somewhere like McDonald's: mediocre food in exchange for decent prices and fast service. This particular location is so understaffed that they routinely forget about your order. I've had to remind them about my orders multiple times and I just now drove off nexus's it wasn't worth waiting any longer for food that wasn't going to come. I don't blame the staff, there's not enough of them or handle the workload, but if the owner can't or won't staff it appropriately then they should close up shop. I always go here for ice cream with my family, but never for anything else. Although it's cheap, the food isn't the best nor is it quick. Epic customer service fail. Ordered lunch through mobile app on thanksgiving day. Go to pick up via drive through--where there is a huge line of cars. But turns out they closed at 11 am, but forgot to turn off mobile app ordering. So, all day they have people ordering, coming to drive through, where everyone waits and waits untill someone realizes no one is there. the line in the Drive-Thru was really long. That is probably the thing that I did not like the most. It took forever for me to get my food. Me and my friends ordered six egg McMuffins and it probably took about 37 minutes for us to go all the way through the drive-thru and also for us to get our food.
