Ambiance (N/A): I used the drive through so I didn't go inside this Shake Shack. Though I've ben satisfied with other Shake Shack's I've been to over the years. Service (4/5): Pretty much what you hope for in a drive through experience. My order was taken promptly. I didn't have to wait long to get my food. And napkins and ketchup were in my bag without me asking. Well done. Drinks (4/5): Pretty much your standard assortment of soft drinks, though Shake Shack does offer shakes (no surprises here). To my surprise, they also have Ginger Ale. Which I typically only get on flights. But I couldn't say no here either because it's not something I run into often. Food (4/5): I went with their limited time special: French onion soup burger. Talk about creativity. If you've ever had French onion soup, this is it in burger form. In addition to the patty of course, you'll also have crispy onions, caramelized onions, gruyere cheese, and a somewhat weird sauce (I don't remember what was in it). It was unlike any sauce I've ever had. I didn't hate it, but didn't love it either. I went with the combo which comes with crinkle cut fries. For fast food, I've always been a fan of Shake Shack. I haven't been to a shake shack in a while. The vanilla shake was amazing! The others were ok but not as good. We ordered the shack stack, double smokehouse, reg burger, cheeseburger and a hotdog with fries. The regular fries were ok, but nothing special..the bacon cheese lacked flavor... The hotdog is cooked on a grill butterfly style. The burgers were good... But not amazing. I think my fav part was the cheese. You order at a kiosk and wait for the food... Not my favorite way to order... But okay. I asked for ranch when they brought out the food but the gal didn't seem to know what to do with that request. My husband ended up going up to get it. Great experience, with no issues. Ordering was efficient through the kiosk - easy to navigate. It's my preferred way if it's available. Very clean location which made it nice with two kids. Plenty of staff cleaning tables after they were used. Food lived up to the shake shack standard - from the chicken, to burgers, to shakes. Ordered the black truffle burger. It does not look like the picture at all. Bun is soft. It was good. My husband ordered the SmokeShack and he enjoyed it. Fries were nice and crispy. Now to the service. There is no one to greet you. No one to help you. You have to place your order on the screen and assign your own table. Tables are dirty but there are wipes available for you to clean yours. No one to thank you for their business and they want you to tip when you're placing your order. However, if I've missed a meal, am feeling Hangry, and have to get out on the road to a business meeting, I'm having a double and fries...with root beer. The only reason they are getting 4 stars is the greasiness of the finished product. Great caramelized beef flavor, but a little heavy on the greasy drippings. That's the downgrade...as its a little bit excessive on the stomach and dangerous for the clothes, but still a ripping good road Burger. Two and a half stars might be a little high. I went to the drive thru and ordered a hamburger meal, specifying 'no cheese.' The ticket says 'no cheese.' What did I find when I got home. Cheese, of course. Seems to be a recurring problem at Shake Shacks. No attention to detail. In addition, the bun seemed to have been made for a mini burger, and the little piece of lettuce was sad. After an afternoon filled with activities we were heading home and wanted to try something new remembering that we have seen the Shake Shack off of the 101, luckily, we took the right exit Pima/90th. As this was our first visit we weren't familiar with the menu and studied the fairly large wall menu. The indoor dining area was about 3/4 full with a mix of families with sports team kids, grandparents with grandkids, couples like us among the mix of seating, booths, table/chair and high-top tables. The world series game was on and both TV's were being watched by many of the diners. My wife ordered a cheeseburger, I ordered the split grilled hot dog, we shared an order of fries and had lemonade. Not realizing they offered beers and wine as well, next time I'll plan on their signature brewed beer instead. The wall menu (the 3 computer screen menus were all "temporarily out of service") did not list condiments of choice for the hot dog. The counter attendant advised that the condiment choices were the same as for burgers - I selected tomato, onion and pickles and mustard only. We sat at the high top 'community' table with a view of the tv's although my wife, from Boston, hates the Yankees and me from San Francisco, hates the Dodgers. Good thing our food arrived quickly, the fries were crispy and hot - I should have grabbed a salt packet from the condiment station as they were only lightly salted. My wife said her burger was perfectly cooked and served with her choice of toppings. My hot dog was split and grilled served on a lightly toasted bun. We enjoyed our choices! While eating we were approached by Alex the Manager who was touching tables throughout the dining area to ensure everyone was enjoying their meals. He was very friendly and shared his experience of having moved to Arizona from the east coast to work at this Shake Shack. It was nice to see a caring, engaged manager. My one complaint is that the acoustics of the dining area are pretty harsh creating a lot of background noise. The chairs and barstools all make a loud screech as they are pulled or slid across the floor. That was annoying! All in all we enjoyed our visit and will definitely return and refer friends there. read more

We met for dinner last night with friends and were pleasantly surprised considering other reviews posted. Ordering was easy at the front counter or the self service ordering menu. The food came out hot and quickly. The burgers are delicious as well as the fries and shakes. The staff was very helpful wanting to know how everything was and if we needed anything else. It's here! My favorite burger joint is finally open. What is great about this location is the availability of a drive thru. The burger is freshly ground beef and served on a non-GMO potato bun. 100% all-natural cage-free chicken. No hormones and no antibiotics ever. More healthy choices? Sad to say alcohol is not yet available at this location and neither is the plant based milk shake. The staff here is super friendly and helpful. You can order thru the counter but there are self order stations available which makes it quicker to get your food! It's busy here but the decor is nice and modern and there is patio seating. Driving out of the shopping center is a challenge if you're making a left turn so please don't! 90th Street is very busy with cars coming all the time from both directions. Drive through is a bit longer than expected but that makes sense once you see some of the suspects working inside on the line. Waiting... waiting... waiting... then, they open the window and dont know what you ordered, and give a completely wrong order lol, but then, they have two people with the same name and got confused? They gave me my order, but it wasn't complete, so I waited for them to open the window again looking confused like they had no idea what could possibly be going on with a blank stare on their face, I said yeah I'd like the items you had forgot or just didnt care to put in my bag, no words, they went and grabbed the items and handed them to me and off I went. Besides the excessive prices they have here, I feel like they are definitely not vetting these people well enough before hiring them or they're scared of not hiring someone because they're race, gender, etc. blah blah blah. so it's just a damn shame and a mess of a situation at this place, plus the location sucks in general. why would you put a semi slow/fast food joint in a corner by the freeway that you can't even barely get in and out of? First time at this location. Nice and convenient if you're on the freeway will be glad when the stop lights go active. I arrived at 9:00 and checked to make sure they weren't closing anytime soon. The staff was very friendly. I ordered at the drive-thru, a single hamburger no cheese and a chocolate shake. It took a while to get my order. The hamburger tasted fantastic however it was just a hamburger and bun, no condiments no veggies just a hamburger and a bun. The Mass confusion with self checkouts with patrons in front of Us and Us as well with Table numbers and NO- Swipe Debit card readers isn't going to work. out of the 6 people who were working it took 10 minutes for one of them to greet me and asked if I had been helped. There were only three customers including myself in the entire restaurant but it took 30 min for me to receive my order mind you, I ordered ahead. These kids are extremely unprofessional in comparison to the other locations and definitely need some training on how to deal with customers.
