This restaurant is in a strip shopping center and in the area of local hotels. We were seated near the bar which was a nice booth with raised barriers between tables which made conversation easy. Our server Kaydi quickly came over to offer drinks, an energetic tone, a positive smile, and the refreshing Southern "yes ma'am/sir." I got the Blues Brothers Burger with sweet potato fries, a very tasty lunch, and filling. We were offered to-go drinks, a cordial touch. Pricing averaged about $25 per person, a very reasonable price for the value delivered. Overall, we will certainly be back the next time we're driving along the east coast. I hope we're lucky enough to meet Kaydi again, as she's an asset to this establishment.

My visit to Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers was disappointing, especially compared to the…read morequality I've experienced at other locations. While the menu offers a wide variety of options, the overall experience at this location fell short. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, the restaurant appeared noticeably unclean. The tables were extremely dirty, and the restroom had no soap available, which is a major concern. Additionally, the ice cream machine looked poorly maintained, further raising questions about sanitation standards. As for the food, it did not meet the level I typically associate with Freddy's. The burger bun was falling apart, as if it were stale, and the bacon was overcooked. The burger itself was very basic and lacked the flavor and quality I've come to expect. I also tried the new taco item, but it was underwhelming and not particularly memorable. Based on the cleanliness issues and the decline in food quality, I would not return to this location.

*update May 17, 2026…read more The local manager reached out and I'm impressed. No excuses, but an apology and they are sending a gift card. Here's what I value--old school customer service--I will try them again when we travel that way because they reached out to do the right thing. I'm hopeful and will give them another try. The folks there were frantically trying to fill orders and I'll give them credit. However, when we picked up our order (it wasn't ready on time), it was wrong, awful quality and ended up being inedible. The pulled pork lacked flavor, the portions of the sides was small and the Brunswick Stew was nasty. And I love Brunswick Stew. The pecan pie was some kind of gross blob of gel that tastes nothing like pecan pie. I'm so utterly disappointed. For context, we'd been traveling all day and just wanted some comfort food in our bellies and rest up for the rest of our trip. Such a bummer.
