I wish this McDonald's were 24/7, but I realize this is South Reno and very few people want to get McDonald's later than 11 pm or earlier than 6 am. I often get Micky D's for breakfast on special occasion Thursday mornings before work, and the female employee with the Indian accent who works the drive thru in the mornings is THE BEST. She is so pleasant and cheerful that I feel like I am visiting a friend rather than indulging in a guilty pleasure. I always order the same meal, but I always change what size coffee I want and how many creams and sugar substitutes I want. But she always gets it right, and she's super fast at taking my debit card and handing me my order. Every now and then I'll go in rather than use the drive thru, and this has given me insight into how well the employee who is one or two rungs above the drive thru lady manages the operation. I always see her hustling to help the other employees and helping the show run smoothly. My experience at this McDonald's is a million times better than my experience at the Vassar location, where everything takes forever, and it's way better than the Keystone McDonald's (my former go-to location, when I lived downtown) because it's not at all shady. read more

Extremely slow and curt, borderline rude service in the drive thru. It seems like anytime I come to this location, the order comes out wrong and the food is next to inedible. I get it - it's fast food - but even by that standard this location fails miserably. Decided to give this spot another chance tonight after not going for over a year on account of the last experience. What a mistake. Ordered a happy meal for the kid - get home and see there's no toy, and instead of the six chicken McNuggets we paid for we got four. Asked for a filet o' fish with extra tarter, but instead of an extra dab of tarter, got what appears to be Big Mac sauce instead. I'm rating this 3 stars...not because of the food, but because the reason we went there in the first place was to have an indoor play area for our grandkids to have some fun. To that extent, the visit was a good one. They got to play and have their Chicken McNuggets (that they really like)...Gramma and Papa got the new Bacon Smokehouse Burger. The burger was definitely not like the great picture they show in their menu or website...it was pretty much just the patty with cheese without a lot of flavor from the "onion strings". So if you are wanting a real burger, my choice would be Red Robin (or Archie's up by UNR...or even Chili's). But if you have kids and want them to have fun, this isn't a bad place to go. The lady who opens on the weekends is extremely rude. I get off work around 6am and come by. Each time she's so rude. Today was the last straw. I went to order and she starts putting things on the screen I didn't say. So I tell her. She snaps at me and says " I know " so I wait and order. She repeats back what I ordered " a number 2 large ice tea" when I pay I get no receipt, I get my bag nearly thrown at me no thank you or anything, and it's wrong. I tell her that's not what I ordered and she tells me " NO!" I said you even said a number 2 back to me again I get yelled at " NO' I told her she's very rude and she tells me that I am rude, when I'm the one who got the wrong order and was yelled at by her for the 3rd time since in other visits she's yelled at me. I'm going to start this off with a little honesty. The only thing I personally consume at McDonald's are ice cream cones and Diet Cokes. But, we probably end up here once a week. Why? PLAY PLACE. We inevitably drive by just about daily and so the kids whine and moan from the backseat about wanting to go. Is it clean? Nope. Is it sanitary? Not at all. Is there dried up food and grossness everywhere in the play place? MmmHmmm. And I'm totally not above just making sure it's a bath night after being there for an hour or two. The wifi is decent and they often have great deals on the McD app that land us free drinks and the occasional free fry for the kids. Otherwise, we get yogurts and apple slices and a cheap afternoon of playing with kids before going home and burning (I mean washing) our clothes. This is the worst McDonalds I have ever been to. I keep giving them another chance and regret it. My order is always wrong. The afternoon shift manager looks angry all the time. Once I tried to order water in the drive through in my meal and they argued and wouldn't let me. I told them I'm fine paying the soda price but three different people argued it couldn't be done. Like, if I was in the lobby I could order a soda and put water in it myself, what's the difference? Anyway, today they screwed up again and I called and they said they would take note of my complaint but wouldn't give me what was missing (apples in the happy meal). You can't call the actual store. I really do not enjoy McDonalds food. But it was my son's birthday and since we were stuck doing errands in Reno, I wanted a place he could eat and have a play area for him to enjoy. The play area is really big and inside so weather conditions do not matter. The play area is closed off from the rest of the place so kids can be loud without disturbing others without kids. That is really nice. The first double quarter pounder we got was dried out and tasted horrible. I took one bite and went to the counter and asked for a fresh one to be made. They happily made me another after I explained why I wanted a fresh one. The sweet teas yummy. The fries were fresh the first time around and were not her loaded on salt. For a McDonalds I think this place is great. As a fast food place.......I hate the taste of their food so I guess it was good. My 3 year old enjoyed it. read more

The only time I go to McDonald's is for a Shamrock shake. I went here since it's so close to my house and ordered a medium shamrock shake and when I got it, it was half pink half green. It was super busy so I felt bad inconveniencing them to make another. But I asked the female at the drive-through if it's going to taste like strawberry because I don't want it. CHECK THE EXPIRATION ON MILK AND CHOC MILK!!! They are getting a star because there's no review for zero stars. Went to buy a happy meal for my kid the other day and found out that the chocolate milk is expired by a day. Absolutely understandable. Called corporate to inform them about the mistake. my boyfriend and i come to this mcdonald's often and every time they mess up our order. this morning we put in a mobile order and we were yelled at by the manager to not order online anymore. the car in front of us also had an online order and had to confront the staff in a stern way to even get their food. they were going to make us pay for our food twice because they can't bother to check the online orders that people have already paid for. not to mention, every single person that works the drive thru including the manager cannot understand english well. if you're going to work in food quick service at least learn the menu so i don't have to communicate in sign language for every wrong thing. read more

Best McDonald's. We love coming here, having chicken nuggets for lunch and letting the kids play in the kid zone when it's too hot to play outside at the park. It's the perfect place to get any size drink for $1, killer deal. It's always clean and you get your food quickly. The French fries are always hot and fresh... have yet to have an experience here where the food tastes like it's been sitting out forever. The only bummer is their ice cream machine goes out of service frequently, and you miss out on delicious Oreo mcflurries or soft serve ice cream cones. Definitely recommend a chocolate dipped cone if you get a chance. I don't have much to say about the staff, they aren't over friendly or eager to help, but they aren't horrible either. read more

Four stars for a fast food restaurant? Absolutely! Wifey had been sick and she always craves french fries when that happens so I was sent on a mission to get said fries. McDonald's is always her choice for the french fries. I only get two items from McDonald's: sweet tea and a hot fudge sundae. My southern body must be replenished frequently with sweet tea and I hate to say it but this is probably the best sweet tea you can get in Reno. Yes, that is sad but I'm just happy to be able to find it here at all. It's one of the things I miss most since moving from the east coast. My second item of choice is alway the hot fudge sundae. It is piled HIGH with that fudge and by high, I mean half of this sundae is just fudge! The ratio of 50% fudge to 50% ice cream is really my favorite. The service was quick and the employees I dealt with were very personable. They both had smiles on their faces and were pleasant to deal with. I appreciate that! I never set foot inside since I'm a drive-thru kinda girl so I can't comment on the inside of the building. The drive thru was quick, easy, and painless. How do I rate zero stars? I realize this is McDonalds and not fine dining however this particular location is the worst I've ever been to. This rating is not based one visit but several over the last eight months. I have never had a good experience at this location. Posted drive thru hours are until 11:00 pm but if you show up after 9:00 pm it's a crap shoot if their open. When it is open I've never had less then a 10 minute wait. Employees are always rude and there is little to no supervision, in most cases (see below). Check your order before you leave because the odds are good that it's wrong. Last night was the last and final time I will go to this location. I pulled up to the speaker and waited two minutes to be greeted. This is normal and actually faster then normal. Placed my order with no issues (not normal). Pulled around to find two cars in front of me, paid at the first window and took my place in line. The two cars were served quickly and I'm at the pick up window in the time you'd expect at a McDonalds. 11 minutes later I honk my horn in hopes of getting the attention of the three employees I've been watching screw around with each other and on their phones. One points and laughs as another grabs my bag of food which had apparently been sitting there for a bit, hands it to me and closes the window. No drink. I knock on the window, she opens it and says what? I didn't get my drink I say. Well we're out of unsweetened tea she says. I guess I just don't get a drink then? I ask for the manager. Window slams shut and a guy shows up who says were out of tea what do you want me to do? How about give me my money back? He gets another manager for the refund! How can a restaurant that has TWO managers on duty be run this poorly? The second manager tries to explain that they have difficulty keeping employees. No kidding? This is the dirtiest McDonald's I've experienced in years. The play area is disgusting!!! Not a healthy place to play. And the main dining area was filthy. We were there at 8 am and there were fries still on the floors and in the seats. So obviously they don't clean any time of day. Fade in. Time is 10:45 on a clear midsummer's night, Wednesday June 20th. The lights are on and clearly workers are still home at the establishment set to stay open til 11, as posted. Me and my friend, Hermanthia, were hankering for some world renown shakes from this establishment. We pull in the drive through, not coned off, and come to a complete stop at the speaker. We wait a second for an employee to take our order. No sound is heard from the intercom for a good minute or two. We start talking hoping it picks up on the speaker, still no response. We start greeting the intercom, and yet still no response. Eventually we get fed up, and pull forward to get to the bottom of this travesty. It takes a second for the employee to catch an eye, a rather portly Latino woman mopping the floor without a headset on. She motions to her neck and points away from the establishment, a motion we did not understand at first. McDonald's on Wedge Parkway had NO tomatoes..,ok you're located in the same shopping center as Raleys. Went to this location, asked for and charged for extra tomatoes and did not receive. Also bread was BURNT. Won't refund any portion unless one drives all the way back. My biggest complaint is the place is FILTHY-they rarely clean it. I've been here several times over the past couple years and it is always the same. Customers are frequently treated to dirty tables, food, crumbs, and napkins on the floor and under the tables. The ketchup and fountain counter are usually filthy. I recently witnessed an employee picking up and taking out the trash in the seating area, then was called behind the counter assist. Without washing her hands, she started serving up fries and ice cream cones. Nasty. I will ask them to wash their hands before serving my food. Customer service has been an real issue with some employees, so training is not consistent. Sometimes they do not greet you, repeat your order, or even say a word. Very cold and rude. I like the location, but the filth is unacceptable- managers and employees need to step up their game big time. read more

I have always liked McDonalds ever since I was a kid. I also always order the same thing, a quarter pounder with cheese. For me this burger has just the right meat to bun to cheese and condiments. So the burger I got today was just odd, nothing was right about it. The consistency of the meat was spungy and flavourless. The condiments were barely there and the cheese was no where near melted. I wonder if they actually cook the burgers here or just heat them up. I do know that if this had been the first time eating at McDonalds I would never go back thinking this was the standard. The bathroom was gross as well, it looked as though it had not been cleaned in days and the waste container was over flowing and we were there at about 10;55 am. Came by today to let my daughter burn out some energy while it's hot to play outside. I like the playplace it is separate enclosed area than the rest. Kids can go screaming without disturbing others not in the play area. The food were okay, not great but not bad either. The playplace needs tidying, there are dried up ketchup, crumbs everywhere. I hope they sanitize the playplace everyday. For a lot of kids come and play everyday, the management should look into sanitizing the playplace.
