HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! AND they mess up my order not once, not twice....but THREE TIMES!!! How can you mess up an order ESPECIALLY in a drive-thru?!!! That doesn't make sense at all. You have the monitor where your order is entered and displayed for the customers which includes the total amount. Customers are able to review their order before driving up to the window to pay for it. So you drive up to pay for it and then go to the next window to get your food. After you get your food, you wouldn't look before leaving because you're thinking that all your ordered items is there and not to mention you're on the run. When you DO get a chance to open your bag up, you go and find that you're missing an item or they got your order WRONG! It's a DRIVE-THRU and what's the point of having a Drive-Thru if you're going to mess up an order. Pleasanton area is "supposedly" a semi-upscale place to live in and I'm shocked at the horrible service that's provided. I expect the service level to be high and not this poor. My orders are usually correct when going to the Drive-Thru, but many times it's been disappointing since my order is messed up by them. I wonder if it just so happen or pure bad luck? McDonald's was a favorite fast food restaurant that I love going to since I was a child, but because I'm so disappointed with those incidents that I decided to stop going to any McDonald's chain. Service wasn't all that great either. I see young teenagers who look like they didn't want to help customers taking their orders at all. They take their sweet time and not being efficient. It gives me a sense that they're not being professional even when they're in the customer service field. They don't look too happy working there either but they should've been able to make the best out of it because experience is what matters the most. Really? We went through the drive thru, needing a quick meal on the road. Why is it they McDonald's always shorts something on the order. My husband got a burger, I got the chicken strips (which are pretty pricey in and of themselves). And despite ordering a sauce, did not realize that no sauce was included until we were on the freeway and eastbound at 70 mph. At that point, no way to turn back. I'm writing this review because the Store Supervisor did nothing to satisfy me as a customer after I shared with him that he had so many flies in his establishment. I am a huge McDonald's supporter. This is my go to while on the road. On my drive back from NorCal I stopped in at 6800 Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton. I ordered my food. I filled up my soda cup and waited at the counter for my food. As I waited I noticed a lot of flies flying about and crawling on the screen, cash register and the counter tops where the food was being served. Immediately afterwards I noticed the cook from behind the coffee machines sticking her hand in each of those cubicles as to check to feel if the food is warm enough, with her bare hands. I didn't think that was appropriate. So I noticed a short balding obese Caucasian employee who was passing out McDonalds cards to his employees. I got his attention and shared with him "they're are so many flies in your establishment and this is not acceptable." I pointed my fingers so that he could see them because he just looked at me as if he was staring at the wall. I asked him "do you see them all? They are on the screen, register and counter tops." His reply to me "oh well, I've see them worse" and I immediately responded "I don't even feed my animals like this with so many flies." And I told him that his McDonalds establishment is disgusting and I'd like a refund. I got sick afterward just seeing so many flies in this McDonalds and his response to me was not a good customer service reply. I've actually never had the pleasure of eating inside this McDonald's, but I've been through the drive-thru late night multiple times while making the long drive to Stockton. The food itself is pretty much the same as any other McDonald's. They do make their Sweet Tea with a little bit less ice than normal though, which is a big plus. I've actually never had a problem with wait times or rude workers. Maybe it's because I always end up going here around midnight when there's no line. The late night employees are pretty nice and friendly though. Never had a bad experience here, and it's a reliable late night option right off the freeway, especially for people making that long drive. read more

Fast food is what you expect it to be. Beware that this location always messes up the orders. They always forget something. I don't know if they're trying to make a reputation like Starbuck's of messing up the spelling of your name on the cup but atleast the coffee chain makes the coffee per your order. This review is based solely on the experience at this McDonald's because let's face it, everyone knows what McDonald's tastes like. They have set up two intercoms side by side so that two cars can order at one time, so I drove up to the drive thru and I get nothing on the intercom. This doesn't bother me because I figured they were helping someone in the front. A car drives up next to me to the other intercom and was immediately greeted and order was taken. Strange, I thought, maybe my intercom was broken? So I say hello to check and no answer. I would have attempted to move had there not been two cars behind me. The car next to me moved forward and the next car pulled up. Again immediately greeted and order was taken. Not one word was said to me. I panic because I am hungry and I was stuck. A third car pulls up next to me and I start saying hello in to the intercom once again to check if it was broken. After a few seconds someone says hello and asks if I need help. This review is solely on this Mc Donald's business philosophy, service and convenience. Listen if you want a good fast food burger go to In-n-Out just two exits down. I guess because they are right off I-580 is easily accessible from the surrounding streets and highly visible they are quite busy. Also because they are busy their business philosophy is to be cheap. My experience has been and from reading other people's review their prices are higher than other Mickie D's. When questioned why they don't run special priced items seen on TV, their response is we never have specials and we're always busy. That totaly turned me off and even though I live less than 1 mile away, I make it a point never to go to this Mc D's. They are so busy I'm sure they can do without my business. McDonald's and I go way back. This was my favorite restaurant growing up and I loved it so much it was the venue for my 4th birthday. I still even remember channeling the McDonald's Piano Recital (Fur Elise) Commercial to get me through some tough times. Over their my relationship with McDonald's has been inconsistent. However, this weekend, I heard that Gilroy fries were available now and only for a limited time. Sold. Looked up the nearest McDonald's on Yelp and boom. I was pretty hungry so I went over to this place and ordered a few burgers with no sauce on them, paid the cashier, and drove to the pickup window. I asked the lady there for a packet of BBQ sauce, and she said I would have to pay extra. I said there must be a misunderstanding; I only want a single packet of BBQ sauce like I've always gotten. She then replied that I would have to pay for ONE freaking packet of a condiment! It wasn't about the money, it was just absurdly cheap on their part to nickel and dime me a for a little condiment like that. If I could give zero stars I would. My boyfriend and I stopped here for a late dinner. My drink was so full of ice that it didn't even last 2 minutes while my boyfriend didn't get any ice at all. The fries are stale. And my Big Mac tasted dry and old. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a McDonald's in my 3 years of traveling the country for work. Convenient location. BAD SERVICE. Came to this location a few times to grab late dinner before visiting my grandma because Trader Joe's was already closed for the day. I have yet to receive my order without anything wrong with it. This goes for ordering at the drive-thru as well as inside the restaurant. They've given me wrong sauces, forgotten drinks multiple times, given cold fries and tonight I ordered a Chicken & Ranch McWrap that wasn't even wrapped. I had never ordered a McWrap before, so I was a little confused when I split the packaging apart. The smaller half of the packaging was stuffed with lettuce, all of the chicken, cucumbers and tomato slices and the bigger half had a rolled tortilla with a few shreds of lettuce inside.
