Drive-thru experience and review: Waited a while under the 1st "Order Here" as a line was forming behind us. I'm sure it was less than a 10 min wait, but we never waited so long to place a drive-thru order-- and this was only for a milkshake, imagine if we were hungry too? You could hear the employee who takes order breathe on the mic, but she couldn't hear us. We honked, still nothing.. finally the girl come on the mic and said, "oh! You're supposed to order on the next window." Ok, we pulled up to the next 2nd "Order Here" and placed an order. We moved up to the next window before the last to pay, as the last window said "Pick up", well, that's also where you pay. Long story short, pull up the windows closest to the exit. Employe 8/09/25 at 7pm and was raw and nothing warm or apologized for the misunderstand that happened twice over order windows. Maybe this location needs more signs? I typically do drive thru at McDonald's, but I was on a road trip headed to Vegas and needed to get out to stretch my legs. This location is right off the freeway and conveniently located near a gas station. I was surprised that this location included multiple places to self-order on screens, versus go to the counter. I usually like when there is an option for both. I was having an issue, so I asked the staff member for some help and she was quite rude. She acted like she was really annoyed to have to answer a question or help in any way. They seemed really busy and very under staffed. I was also disappointed that my Coke was a bit flat. Also, I attempted ordering a grilled cheese (basically just everything you'd find on a cheese burger, but no meat)...they had a very difficult time with that. I've been saying for years that it should be on the menu! There are not many options here for non-meat eaters. On the upside, the bathrooms were very clean. Honestly if I could rate it a 0 star I really would. So around a year ago, drive through orders would be taken and paid for in the drive thru like normal... Instead of getting your food at the last window like your supposed to, almost 99.9% of the time they have you pull up to a parking spot and walk your order out to you. I didn't really have an issue about this because I understand that sometimes places get a bit crowded and you just need that extra grace period but it's on a regular now. I just came here tonight, the line was pretty short (under 5 cars) and I had a mobile order. It took around 20 minutes just to get up to the ordering menu and had to wait around 5 minutes to actually let the cashier know that I was here to pick up my mobile order. When I went to get my food at the last window, I saw 3 or so guys working and honestly seemed like they were having a fun night shift but wasn't very productive. Place has gone sooo downhill over the years.. the past 6 months have been the catalyst to write this review. Normally I give food service industries some slack bc it's a hard business, but the lack of care with staff attentiveness and overall quality is just getting worse. It sucks that McDs is franchised because they all run by different rules... 1st issue: I place a mobile order for pickup before work, thinking I had plenty of time. I park and wait a few minutes, then a few more (total of 7 min), running low on time. I decide to go inside to see what the hold up is.. and there are about 12 other patrons waiting in the front and not a single staff member in sight. The ones working the food deliberately had their backs turned and then a very young lady (maybe Asian) walks out and ignores everyone, even the 2 people trying to call her over. She looks absolutely miserable. 1 customer is asking for some ketchup and she ignores him for an awkward amount of time. Another lady is having problems ordering on the kiosk. And everyone else is waiting for their order. I finally flag her down and they hadn't even started my order yet! So I wait another 7 minutes for them to put my order together, no apology, no acknowledgment. There were 4 people in the kitchen and nobody was paying attention to the lobby. 2nd issue: I placed a mobile order for breakfast for my staff and sent someone to pick it up since I'm a manager and can't leave the building. I get a call from him and he tells me they can't give him the order because the phone that placed it isn't physically there (I've done this before and they handed it over no problem). So he re-orders on the spot and pays for it, I'm told to cancel my mobile order but there's no option to cancel. I call back and ask about the refund, but am told that the holding charge will fall off in 24-48 hours. 1 week passes, no refund. I had to fill out 4 different customer service tickets because the app kept closing me out. Eventually I disputed the charge with my bank. 2 weeks pass, no refund, but my bank temporarily credits the charge back to me. 3 months later, no refund, but my bank confirms McDs never processed a refund so the credit became permanent. 3rd issue: Saw a promo on the app for a free side of fries with a McDouble so I order ahead and choose drive thru (I'm on my lunch, I only have 30 min) but realize my app was set to my default store in Eastvale. I tried to cancel and re-order but the promo was already "used" and the app told me I had to wait 15 minutes before it reset. I get to the speaker and ask if they could honor the promo and explain what happened, and I was told "no the website is controlled by the owner and there's no way to honor that you'd have to wait" and I asked if she'd like to see the promo for proof and she said no, she can't honor it and I would have to contact the owner or wait the 15 minutes. Many issues in between these but these were the main ones. I remember when this McDonalds used to be the best one around but the service has me sounding like a legitimate Karen on here read more

It's sad that I wrote a review months ago about how this location went downhill and now it's even worse! Drive thru line out to the street so I went in. It's amazing to me that the $20 minimum wage clearly caused a price increase, but a staff shortage too?! How much profit does McDonald's need? Got a kids meal and 2 regular hamburgers with fries and a drink for $28! That order used to cost me $13. It was a Friday night and 3 people were working! Waited 30 minutes for my order after I had to place it myself because apparently McDonalds is not paying anyone to take orders anymore. Got my chicken nugget kids meal with no chicken nuggets in it! I remember when McDonalds pride themselves on cleanliness and their employees looking sharp. They were all about customer service. If you look on Yelp, almost all locations have one or two stars. Clearly McDonalds doesn't care. It took almost a year for me to come back. Now I'm never coming back. Not sure why any customer would put up with this. I've been to this location several times and the person taking the orders need to be trained on how not to keep the customer waiting so long that the mc Donald's app times out and won't allow the reward to be used. When i get to the window I'm there for 5 minutes before an employee acknowledges me before I tell them I had an online order. Did you catch it? The Orange Hi-C has returned. On any given day I can appreciate a bubbly coke tingling my throat. But the Hi-C with a full glass of ice is refreshing as long as you chug it before the flavor becomes watery. Although this was a highlight, the fountain machine was not configured correctly and the Orange Hi-C was uneventful. But it's back and that is all that matters. This updated McDee's with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating and kiosk ordering was modern. Except the kiosk was not working. What did work was the bubbly employee greetings and clean restrooms. Hands down the best McDonalds in the area. Limonite and Hidden Valley locations cannot compare to this one on 6th st in Norco, The franchise owner cares and it shows through the staff as they are professional, friendly, and efficient both during the day and night shifts. The property is also very clean and newly remodeled. You will have no doubt the food is also prepared with hygiene and cleanliness in mind. I have no idea how the ratings are low, but I don't think they take into consideration that every restaurant right now is short staffed especially during lunch and dinner rush as well as weekend late night orders. They should try ordering in any fashion at the other locations be it online, food delivery, or drive thru and they will have something to complain about. As a Yelp Elite member for 3 years I give this location in Norco on 6th street 5 stars across the board. read more
