This used to be my go to breakfast spot when we had one in Kentwood Michigan, however it was shut down without explanation or even a frequent visitor vote. Now there is none near Kentwood or Detroit or Houston....:-/ Anyhow, I was immediately greeted by a kind gentleman named Dorn I believe. I got my favorite, silver dollar sized pancakes and bacon. It was super cheap. Just had to see if I still loved them as much as I did back then and I did! The salted real butter with the maple syrup on the golden fluffy pancakes were just right. I ate them all driving down the freeway while reminiscing of my favorite memories at Kentwood Perkins. The bacon was smokey and cooked just right. All these states without a Perkins need to wakeup!

My wife and I were in Anderson Indiana for an event and decided to stop by Perkins for a late…read morelunch. We were seated right away by someone who appeared to be a manager. Very friendly and courteous but his pants and shirt were dirty with food stains. Not a good first impression, for sure. Our waitress came over quickly to take our drink orders and ask if we had any questions about the menu. My wife asked about gluten free (GF) options, and our server promptly brought over a special GF menu Service at this location was excellent, however the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered a three egg omelet with mushroom, tomato and onion, mashed potato with turkey gravy, and fruit cup. Wife ordered baked potato, tomato basil soup, and green beans. The omelet was tasty, but as you can see from the picture, it did not look appetizing. Also, kind of small for a "three egg". The Mash potatoes were the highlight of the meal for me. The fruit cup was awful. yuck. Wife liked the baked potato, but thought the soup and green beans were way too salty. I tried the green beans and had to agree. Ugh.... tasted awful. As you can see from the picture, the soup spoon was dirty, however, the server was quick with a replacement and an apology. In summary, the people who work at this Perkins were friendly funny and attentive and did an excellent job with a pretty good size crowd on a Tuesday afternoon. So the other issue was how the Rep took my call. I know the location closed at 9p, so I tried to call in before closing to inform them of the issues of a missing item, I did not know about the apple issue until after they closed. So I phoned in about 8:12p, a woman answered expressing I phoned into Panera, no name, I felt I had to work hard to try and get a name just to respectfully address the person. I guess companies don't like employees representing the company properly as no one says their name I guess. a simple my name is so and so, think you for phoning Panera, how may I help you would I guess be too much to ask for. Either way, The woman seemed to be in rush to close or maybe had one too many customers that caused an issue, just the tone of her voice, but either way, she said she would refund the soup that never came. also in the instructions where either my lady or I place a big order we like to distinguish our meals from another, so I put notes for what was her's and what was mine, sadly neither last order or this order, did anyone bother to check ingredients of the sandwich or even mark a name on the wrapper. Seriously it is simple, take your pen, or marker, take cap off, look at instructions, put name of person on wrapper or eve first letter if the people done have same first letter in first name. Or take a pen mark ingredients. Originally I would have given 5 stars I all was great, I subtracted 1 star due to missing item, subtracted the other star due to apple seeds. I should have given 2 stars, but trying to be nice and give 3 stars. I will say big difference from ordering and coming in, you seem to get the order correct when we come in, but can not get it right when delivery, If you need to just slow down, take your time, quality check and make sure everything is good to go with green light.
