I don't often come across a bad experience but I couldn't go without mentioning this Panera location. My grandmother loves Panera so I brought her for lunch. We were immediately greeted with muddy floors and had to watch where we stepped. Ordering food was fine and seemed normal but once it came out I was pretty disappointed. The salad ingredients were not fresh and appeared old a top my salad. My grandmother's salad was loaded with toppings but had old salad underneath. She went to fill her cup and there were sticky floors all surrounding the beverage dispenser so I had to step in and maneuver to it for her. The teas were much more sugary than usual. I did not get to take as many pics as I would've liked because I was trying to make sure my grandmother was in a good spot. read more

Giving a rating for this location is just a hit or miss. I signed up last week with their website to order a meal, last time my order and delivery was awesome no issues, all items there. Today not sure who was having a bad day, but who ever does not know how to quality check meals if prepped properly and if there, better get on the ball due to an issue I did not notice after my first call, because they were closing, I mainly called about missing item, it was brought to my attention afterwards of the possible problem that would been a trip to ER for one of us. I will explain below. Seriously are you guys trying to kill someone? I know honest mistakes happen, but when establishment is dealing with food, you need to seriously be careful. So the other issue was how the Rep took my call. I know the location closed at 9p, so I tried to call in before closing to inform them of the issues of a missing item, I did not know about the apple issue until after they closed. So I phoned in about 8:12p, a woman answered expressing I phoned into Panera, no name, I felt I had to work hard to try and get a name just to respectfully address the person. I guess companies don't like employees representing the company properly as no one says their name I guess. a simple my name is so and so, think you for phoning Panera, how may I help you would I guess be too much to ask for. Either way, The woman seemed to be in rush to close or maybe had one too many customers that caused an issue, just the tone of her voice, but either way, she said she would refund the soup that never came. also in the instructions where either my lady or I place a big order we like to distinguish our meals from another, so I put notes for what was her's and what was mine, sadly neither last order or this order, did anyone bother to check ingredients of the sandwich or even mark a name on the wrapper. Seriously it is simple, take your pen, or marker, take cap off, look at instructions, put name of person on wrapper or eve first letter if the people done have same first letter in first name. Or take a pen mark ingredients. Originally I would have given 5 stars I all was great, I subtracted 1 star due to missing item, subtracted the other star due to apple seeds. I should have given 2 stars, but trying to be nice and give 3 stars. I will say big difference from ordering and coming in, you seem to get the order correct when we come in, but can not get it right when delivery, If you need to just slow down, take your time, quality check and make sure everything is good to go with green light. We would come in every time as you are down the block, but I am medically unable to drive and my partner is usually on clock working. Come on Panera, you can do it! Quality of food has always been on point; however, the place could be cleaner. Food quality is why I'm giving 4 Stars. Fingerprints on glass surfaces make me cringe. My staff experience could be better, everyone always just seems so sad (or annoyed) to be there. They have forgotten to pack all ordered items, at times. However, I made the mistake of using the men's room and I could not believe the filth particularly the urinal and sink! Absolutely love this Panera's. Every time I come they are friendly, smiling, the restaurant is clean, the restrooms are clean and the coffee is fresh. The only thing I miss today is the company of my best friends. This is a great place to meet for each and good conversation. Not too loud and all of the clientele are equally as nice as those who serve. Also one of the best things is, I can ask and I am shown exactly what the ingredients are for any menu item. I am always on the search for items that meet my father's plant-based food plan and that also do not contain oils, nut, eggs or dairy. This store has extremely horrible customer service, especially from the managers! I pay $10.99 a month for their "Sip Club" and have been since April. Tonight the manager decided that I'm not a member (even though it shows as a reward in my account!!) and insisted on charging me for my drink!! Absolutely terrible catering service from this location! Do NOT recommend! I'm a Panera fan in general. So I decided to use them to cater a lunch meeting. I'm not from Anderson so I placed the order on the phone before coming into town. Everything was set with free delivery because order was over $150 The morning of I called to add coffee to the order and they said it'd delay the food order. So I simply asked to treat the coffee as a separate order and pick up it up right before the noon meeting. I asked to still have the food delivered at 11:15am. The manager even told me she'd tell the driver to was on time. 11:15 came and went, 11:30 and still no delivery as promised so I called them. I had people showing up for my lunch meeting and no food! Ends up Panera decided to keep the food there until we came for the coffee and pawned it off on us to bring it instead. This made the food 15 minutes late to the meeting. We had to set up the food while everyone stood there waiting on us. I made us look unprepared when it was completely Panera's fault! I called them and talked to the manager who took the order. She basically blamed it on me and said she thought we were picking everything up which was a total lie. She knew exactly what happened and took zero responsibility. When I asked them to compensate me in some way because they made us look bad she only offered 10% off my next order. NO THANKS! You aren't getting my business again! read more

On the road driving over 800 miles to visit family we were excited to have this healthy option. My husband ordered a steak panini and when I handed it to him he said it smelled funky but took a bite. He gagged on it because the meat was so bad. He sent it back. My son got a Caesar salad and found a bug in it when he was almost finished. Not all Panera Bread's are equal. The one in Anderson is a bit sub par. The main reason is high price for small portions. I love soup but the last time I ordered their clam chowder, it was microscopic clams and 2 or 3 of them at best. Soup is very runny, not thick. You would think crackers would be available for such runny soup. Great for bread dipping though, HA! No crackers but they do have bread. I do like the baked potato soup. Want better soup, get a full quart at Bob Evans for 5 bucks, mega thick and good choices. I do like their Sierra turkey sandwich and that gets a 5 star. The Asiago cheese bread is so good on it's own, to add other goodies to it is bonus central. the addition of chips is also a bonus. Half the time, only in Anderson, they forget my pickle wedge. There are a lot of potential good entrees here I've yet to try and I do like the atmosphere when they take care of cleanliness issues. The staff has always been pleasant and nice. read more

As for the soup, you might as well call it chicken won ton soy sauce soup. It is not the first thing you think of flavor-wise when it says Thai Chicken Won Ton Soup. It is very salty because of the amount of soy sauce used. The won tons were good but the soy sauce was overpowering. Good enough to finish but almost too soy strong to finish. Overall a 3 Star. I love this place with one exception: the system for ordering. The person takes your order and then proceeds to fill your order if you order a bakery product or certain kind of drink. This is highly annoying to the other people in line as it happens with every single customer and is very time consuming. I picked up my dinner here tonight after a long day at work. The staff here was awesome and super friendly. I waited extra for part of my order because they needed to make more. The staff member apologized multiple times- even though she said it would only be a couple more minutes- and offered me a free bakery item. I declined because it was only a couple minutes. I was super happy with my experience. I didn't check my order and came home to find part of my order missing. I was kind of bummed and called to see if I could get a coupon for my next order or something. The manager apologized multiple times and refunded me my whole order. I'm still 100% happy with my order even though I'm missing half of it. It's nice to see that there's still great customer service out there!! read more
