A quick search revealed so much more! A steak house with a great drink and bourbon selection? Yes please! With a week, we planned a trip to this curiosity. We live two hours away and quickly planned an overnight visit simply to see if this could be as great as advertised. We were welcomed immediately upon arrival to a ready table for our party of 5. Beautiful dark hardwood floors and brick walls with wood panels set the mood for a great atmosphere. You just feel the need to eat and drink here! We were taken care of by Kory, who knew the menu inside and out and gave us great recommendations on drinks as well as entrees. The crab cakes and charcuterie board were a great start. The Miller Old Fashioned was a table favorite of the drinks we sampled. They were made consistently and everyone gave their approval. The entrees included both steak and fish at our table and everyone enjoyed with no complaints. Throughout our experience we were given constant attention and interaction from Kory as he and his team guided us through our first experience. We tried nearly half the dessert menu amongst our table and it was all smiles and wows. In closing, we took a huge risk traveling two hours from a single TikTok video. We were rewarded with one of the best dining experiences in a very long time. The group at the Nesst truly understands that a good meal is more than just good food. It is about atmosphere, attitude, and the gratitude they showed for giving them our business. This experience proves that there are great places that will work hard for your business. On my most recent visit, I sat at the bar with a few friends, and Alex and Zach absolutely made the experience. They were attentive, welcoming, and struck the perfect balance between genuine conversation and excellent hospitality. I wasn't sure what I wanted to drink, so Alex recommended the Lavender 75, and I'm so glad he did. It was light, refreshing, perfectly floral, and paired beautifully with dinner. Throughout the evening, both Alex and Zach were constantly checking in, making sure my drink was full and that we had everything we needed. Their service alone is enough to make me come back. As for the food, I order the Pot Roast Sliders every single time because I truly think they're one of the best dishes in Cicero. They're packed with flavor, incredibly tender, and the portions are generous enough that I always have leftovers to take home. This visit I customized my meal by skipping the bun and adding mashed potatoes instead, and wow...it was absolutely incredible. The Red Bridge Bistro has become one of my favorite restaurants. Red Bridge is located at the corner of Byron and Jackson Street in old Cicero in a remodeled red brick building. The accessible entrance is on Byron. There is some street parking on both streets and a dedicated parking lot in back. The restaurant is on one level with ample space to walk and access seating. The space is tastefully and minimally decorated with booths, high and low tables, and a large welcoming bar. The bar features some THC drinks, beers, mix cocktails, and had a selection of bourbons. We were welcomed by hosts and servers. Tonight was fried deviled eggs that were lightly breaded (panko?) and piped with creamy deviled yokes. We haven't tried everything obviously but the stars, for us, are the burgers. The burgers appear to be about 1/3 lb and made with ground brisket, ground short rib, and ground sirloin well seasoned and cooked to order. Seriously, best grilled burgers we've tasted in many years. NOTE-there is a vegetarian burger option on the menu called The Innocent Burger. The house made chips were crispy and pleasantly seasoned. Too full, we opted to take home the bread pudding. (Will let you know how it travels.) Service was welcoming and efficient. Entree prices start around $15 and go up to include higher end steaks and such. Local businesses are a favorite. I ordered the mushrooms as my side, and that was really all I needed. I ended up taking half of it home to enjoy a couple days later.
