When traveling, we always look for fast food options with easy access on and off the interstate. This McDonald's is located in a Love's truck stop with very easy access on and off the highway. And, although it's part of the Love's truck stop, it has its own entrance, dining room and a full drive up. The staff was pleasant and efficient, our food was served hot and fast. My wife ordered the crispy chicken sandwich combo meal and said the sandwich was especially good - among one of the better chicken sandwiches she's tried. And the fries were hot and "the way they're supposed to be ". I had the quarter pounder combo meal and it also checked all the boxes. This McDonald's is what all McDonald's should be. read more

This was a quick stop for breakfast. I had visited the rest room in the attached Love's Travel Stop and I figured to skip the Love's coffee and get an Egg McMuffin. It was easy enough to order on the kiosk and take a seat with my laptop to figure out the next steps of my journey as I head west from Indianapolis to get to Saint Louis. A crew member brought over my breakfast. Coffee, hash browns and breakfast sandwich. The coffee was super hot and they did put the right amount of creamer in there but I did have to get a few ice cubes from the soda fountain. Egg McMuffin had all the right ingredients but the muffin was underdone and over buttered. The hash browns was also underdone. I've had better McD's experiences. Never going back again. McDonald's tried to steal $5 from us and didn't even give us our food for over an hour. After we paid, they claimed they were 'waiting for the kitchen to catch up' but no one bothered to keep us updated. When we asked about the delay, the staff was rude and acted like we were the problem. Total lack of customer service, and they refused to refund or give us our food in a reasonable time. No, no, just no! Waited 15 minutes for a freaking cup of coffee after ordering on their machine in the lobby. Are you kidding me and at a truck stop where people are actually on the road trying to get somewhere. I can't imagine if I had actually ordered food. It wasn't just me. Dude. Idk. Sometimes I just crave McDonald's. And I'm not even going to apologize for my pedestrian taste in fast food. This McDs I'm at, got a TON of negative reviews on the trucker app I use to locate safe parking, so naturally I was excited to try it! Sometimes truckers are picky. I never am, I am always objective and excited and provide an unjaded, unvarnished opinion. And this McDs is stellar. So fast, it was only a few seconds from kiosk to bag in hand. So hot, it burned my mouth even after a brisk 12° jog back to my truck. So delicious, I am pretty sure my McDs craving will be snuffed adequately for another 3 months. Here's a pic. My son and his family weren't feeling well and the grandkids were tired. We all live rural so they ordered via the app so they could pay and all I needed to do was pick-up and deliver. Basically a good idea but the app uses location and recognized my daughter-in-law's phone wasn't in the parking lot; I even logged onto the app under her name but still couldn't finalize the order for curbside pick-up. So, went inside and explained the situation to the manager, Brenda. She was great, said this had happened before, and she knew exactly what to do! It did take a few minutes to sort out the details but so grateful for her knowledge and pleasant demeanor to solve the problem. A big thanks to Brenda and the Saturday night crew at this McDonald's for some awesome customer service, which is all too rare everywhere these days... kudos!! read more

I went thru the drive thru a year ago, they took my order and took my money asked me to pull up and wait and then left me sitting there while multiple customers rolled they the drive thru got their food and went in there way. I should have known better but I tried again yesterday and they did it to me again. Took my money asked to pull up and wait then promptly served everyone else behind me their food while leaving me there with nothing. I can't begin where to explain my issue with the McDonald's in my area, I am no longer in school so when I woke up this morning the last thing I ate was breakfast this morning and I proceeded to go about my day today, I began to get hungry at 2:30 today but decided to wait for my parents to arrive with food. I hits 3:00 and that is the time my parents are just getting off work and I realize that the minute it turns 3:00 realizing I will not get my food till 5:00 I begin to get impatient, my stomach begins to thrive with hunger and eventually I came the a realization that I will be starving till they get food... I get a text, Mom: "what do you want from McDonald's" I proceed to tell her my order then wait a little longer. I hear my parents arrive and I start jumping up and down like I'm in a looney toons cartoon and run as fast as usan bolt down the stairs in need of food. I get there and see my food but I can't visually see my big Mac I request practically plain only Mac sauce and onions and cheese which was what I was expecting, then I go to grab my Big Mac from the bag and smell the scent of lettuce, thinking it was a coincidence I proceed to open my Big Mac box and see a pound of lettuce on my Big Mac... with rage I proceed to pick off every single piece of lettuce with my hands till there is not a piece left. Then I take a bite out of my burger and it is unbelievably dry with no cheese... and I took the time to not finish my burger of fries to write a review on this McDonald's. read more

It's almost as if they're trying to win some award for the slowest McDonald's on the planet. You could probably order a pizza and have it delivered to the drive thru while you're idling there. I think they're paying these kids like $10.00 an hour too. Good God. Also, their credit card machines are always out, so you have to use cash. I don't even carry cash anymore. This used to be my very favorite McDonald's in the state of Indiana. We travel a lot with a lot of children so it's easy inexpensive and up until a few years ago was an excellent place to stop for the kids to play and get out some energy. ... However it has continued to go down hill since they did their renovation and took out the play area. I'm assuming they got some type of new manager or owner who thought they would improve everything but forgot about the people in the process. we spent 11 minutes in line this morning with only four people ahead of us and when I called to speak to the manager they didn't even offer to have me come back in and get a free-hashbrowns or anything. I won't say the name of the young manager that answered the phone because she was polite; but honestly it didn't seem like she was trained very well and how to speak on the phone which is not on her shoulders but rather the fault of those who trained her. I will possibly still stop there from time to time because it's in a central location but it definitely is no longer a destination or a place that we get off the road for . read more

I'm going to start this off with a back story.....my friends and I decided to call off work (I got fired the next day) to drink one night. May you ask what we were consuming???? Strawberry lemonade vodka we were laughing it up, drinking, having a good time. As we did. Playing photo roulette, which is a very fun game that I recommend. Ruined a few friendships. But this is not a review on that game. As we were trashed, we decided let's go to McDonald's for a late night snack. After projectiling vomiting on my then, best friends child's bed. We arrive to McDonald's in a timely manner, after going 80 on a back road. Monrovia tings we proceed to go through the drive thru and order excessive amounts of hot dog water & ketchup. ONLY for them to FORGET the ketchup. At this time we made our way inside the establishment. Underwear, flannel, socks, & receipt in hand. Only to run into a man that I had JUST had sexual encounters with that involved a mutual friend (Mrs. James would be so proud of how well structured this review is. Would've got an A. Should've started to yelp long ago, but this does NOT effect this review). Back to the real tea, WE DID GET THE KETCHUP! One of our other friends had taken notice of how big his man titties were. Saying she would NEVER have sex with him. 2 days later she did. Not mad that she did. Dick was decent. But that's not what ended this friendship. Back to the game, saw nudes of her pegging my husband (still married, thinking about divorce). Like I said, this game ruins friendships. I give McDonalds a 2/10 for triggering me. Friday October 28, 2016 My wife and I are over the road truck drivers. We've been to McDonald's and other fast food across the United States. This particular McDonald's takes the prize of being the absolute worst food establishment we've ever been in! We've been to this location several times. Each time the whole restaurant was chaos. This time there are no less than 17 people bringing their orders back once, twice even three or four times because the staff could not get them correct. None of the drinks in the dining area worked. Very rude when we showed them our order was incomplete and incorrect. The manager actually threw our receipt away. There are signs posted all over the store for customers to go online and mention employees by name giving them credit for outstanding service. Not one employee was wearing name tags. None of the employees wore a hat or any kind of hair covering. Every employee in this establishment earns an outstanding 0 start trading from us. Under no circumstances would we EVER recommend this establishment to anyone! read more
