Intended on making a quick visit to purchase apple pies and hot chocolates last evening. What could go wrong? 1. No toilet tissue in ladies room. 2. No paper receipt provided from ordering kiosk. 3. Long wait for Apple pies "coming out of oven".... No Apple pies available... ran out. 4. Not hot chocolates.. ran out of milk. Ok, substituted strawberry pies for apples... initially gave us half the amount we ordered. Took about 30 minutes for this whole episode to play out. read more

I go here a few times a month, work is about a mile away. Ordered a Bacon McDouble app special today, no onions, pickles or mustard. Order slip stuck on the paper wrapper read, Bacon McDouble, Only Ketchup, Only American Cheese. It came with the most diced onions I've ever seen on their burgers, completely covering and embedded into the cheese, and on the other side of that patty. Can't expect every order to be done right, but this took extra effort to get wrong. I scraped the cheese and onions off and ate; the walk back into the counter, and the time lost in making a new one wasn't worth it. "Light" salt on the fries was evidently read as "lots", too. Tea was good and right mix of ice. Quality of the food is the same as always, varies greatly with the time it's been under the heat lamp, and who assembled it, so you never quite know what you'll get. A greasy burger like a McDouble means the assembler's hands and work surface are greasy, so the outside of the bun will be too. Keep expectations low and you'll be pleasantly surprised every now and again. Have had a very good Filet-O-Fish here and Crispy Chicken too. Ice cream machine is usually working. Main dining room is nice enough, big windows, lots of light. Not sure what Travis was expecting - Kiosk or app ordering is a must at all McD's, and none I know of has a working drink dispenser in the dining room anymore - which is a lot better than paying $3.50+ for a small soda. Paper straw won't last through a whole frappuccino. The parks across the street attract homeless people, so there's often someone stationed at the parking lot exits, but they seem to stay off the property unless they are customers. Monterey has a no-solicitation ordinance, so most of the homeless people won't approach you. I can't beat the price for a quick lunch, so I'll be back. If you're closer to the McD's in Seaside (Del Rey Oaks Bl), it's better (but keep those expectations low) AND you'll get a proper straw. read more

Wait Time: [x][x][x][ ][ ] Food Quality: [x][x][x][ ][ ] Service: [x][x][x][x][x] Setting: [x][x][x][x][ ] Recommendation? Surprisingly yes. When most people think of McDonald's, it's typically nothing too special. It's the baseline of what a fast-food restaurant is and nothing grand. But what makes this McDonald a bit different than the rest is the service here is actually quite good! The manager who works here is charismatic and funny, always making sure all customers get what they ordered and enjoyed. The staff here in general were nice as well. Another thing about this McDonald's is that the inside decoration of this place actually... looks pretty nice. Chandeliers hanging from high ceilings and tall windows, it doesn't feel like I'm sitting in a typical McDonald's as well. Food quality here is just like any other though, quite average as usual. If you're stopping by and craving the typical Big Mac or McNuggets, you can't go wrong here and you might even possibly enjoy your brief stay here. read more

Worst McDonalds ever! Tables not clean, Out of TP handing out napkins, stood waiting forever to get salt a ketchup finally saw a guy reach over the counter to get them himself so I did. Then went back to get napkins non provided and again had to reach over the counter to get napkins. Oh yeah.... They no longer allow refills l. Went here to use the womens restroom. Its very unacceptable that the management here does not provide seat covers in their restrooms stalls. How do you expect your customers to use your restroom. Do we have to squat hovering our asses over the toilet bowl just to piss and shit. I think management should provide protective seat coverwear. read more

$2.50 unchanged for orange juice in a kids happy meal. No Way. Highest I have ever paid for that substitution. Oh this in near a huge kids park and popular aquarium. Taking advantage of families. Ordered at the Drive-thru and the line was slow. Ordered 2 drinks and went up to the first window, staff was chatting and laughing when there is just one car infront of me and handful cars in the back. Went to pick up my order and 2 drinks were not done, waited for 5+ minutes to get the one of the drinks and additional 1 minute for second. When the staff handed the second drink, she immediately slammed the window even though it was not the correct drink. We tried to get there attention and honked in order to get their attention to repeatedly mentioned what we ordered and they still did not understand. read more

Food is great. No problem there. However..... they have two beverage machines and both are lacking in beverages. Not sure if they can get those beverage syrups (all the other fast food chains can..... and they have the same machines....) Or my they just don't care to replace the empty syrup boxes. Whatever it is... be prepared to just drink water. read more

I don't understand why, but this location does not allow customer into the actual restaurant. I had issues ordering with my app and was instructed to go inside, but wasn't able to do so, and stood outside the door for a few minutes. An employee finally came out and asked if I placed a mobile order, I said yes and showed him the error occurring on my app, and he said "it's honestly easier to go to drive through," which was extremely slow and long. No thank you. I left and went elsewhere. read more

McDonald's is usually a good snack on the road for my family. We were going to the aquarium and we were a little hungry so we stopped by Mickey D's. What's with this McDonald's??? Large order of fries in a small bag. The bag is not the same size as the iconic red fries container...so beware when ordering from this location. I asked the shift mgr about it and she didnt know why the fries are in bags and said, "this is the only location that has the bags". Plus, these fries aren't worth the almost $3.xx, they were in broken 1" pieces and flat. Definitely wont be buying fries from them again. read more

I walked in and ordered 2 extra patties and a big burger extra chesse (as always) I waited for over 25, I sat I waited and found a spare corn condiment cup which sustained me for a few more minutes. when I finally reminded them of my order they simply grab a burger from th fridge and stuffed some warm fries from the microwave Indo a platter and shoved it at my face asking for a tip. so I gave him a buck and walked away to my seat, which had dirty diaper on it I told them to pick it up but they said that was my deal. I asked to speak to that manager but they also refused, so I ate my burger on the sidewalk and basked in the sun. lated that night I had a very bad stomach ache and could not stop using the toilet. read more

We came here for some ice cream before heading out of Monterey. It's true this is the fanciest McD's I've ever been to. The decor is really nice. Service was fast. Even though this McDonald's looks great from the outside, the service does not equal it. I placed an order on the kiosk inside because the drive thru was so long but it took 35 minutes to get my food. I was not the only one who was affected by the horrible service. Another woman asked to speak to the manager because she had been waiting 20 minutes for just a coffee! One cup of coffee!! The manager handed her a coffee and blew her off with no acknowledgment. The woman looked at her coffee and it was the wrong order. I haven't been to this McDonald's in a while because the most the staff had to get out of retirement. I don't know where to even begin. If I could give this McDonald's a zero I would but Yelp only let you do one. They've messed up my order every time I've come here and now lock their doors before it says they're closed because apparently they're slow, which makes no sense. All employees who work here are rude and ignore customers and somehow McDonald's size portions are smaller than all other McDonald's I've been too which makes no sense. Very dissatisfied! read more

Friendly staff, clean restaurant, and good food! Nothing to complain about here. Grabbed some breakfast to go and it was great.

This was by far my worst experience at McDonald's. The staff was rude, dismissive, and two of the workers completely ignored us when we asked for their help. There were people still waiting for their orders that had been there before us. Management needs to get it together and training of staff needs to be properly trained. There is no such thing as customer service here. You stand in the drive through for 25 min, and then find out that they don't have any fries? A McDonald's who runs out of fries? Who ever does the ordering needs to be fired.
