How dumb can you be??!! I came to this McDonald's while hubby went diving. I ordered my food through the app and arrived to the counter. Within a minute I got my food however there was no napkins inside the bag. The lady who was distributing the food, asked if I needed anything else. I told her there was no napkin in the bag and she insisted with the idiotic motherly tone, we need to add napkins on your order.???? Are you serious????... I believe the crew at this location are the dumbest of McDonald's crew I have ever had to deal with. Who in the right mind do not need a napkin when eating??? Stingy sauce AF McDonalds. What could improve is customer service 100. Went in the drive through with order ahead. We got 20 nuggets, kid nugget happy meal and two chicken wraps. We get our stuff and I always look to make sure our honey mustard is in there because it's often forgotten. We notice it's not included. We let the window know and he said "it's in the bag." We tell him no it's not. So he gives us ONE sauce. We tell him we ordered 20 nuggets and it doesn't come with ONE sauce. So he gives us 2 more. He seemed very annoyed. We leave the window and realize there isn't any sauce in our 6 piece nugget happy meal either. So now I have to go inside and tell them we didn't get our sauce in the happy meal. The lady also wasn't very nice and said "it costs 50 cents for extra sauce." I told her no we came in the drive through and they forgot the sauce completely in the happy meal too and now I'm coming in to get my sauce. She reluctantly gave me it. Come on McDonalds, I get you're not a 5 star restaurant. But be better at giving sauce and don't be rude when your employees forget to add it to the bag & strive for better customer service when it's an error on your part. Honestly; more sauce shouldn't cost extra anyway. Don't be stingy. Most people don't only use 3 sauces for 20 nuggets!! Every time I'm in Monterey and want to stop by this McDonald's for a little bit. The restaurant is very clean even the restrooms. I really miss the freestyle Coca-Cola machine. They are not doing free refills anymore. Love how they cook their Chicken McNugget crispy and not overcooked. Parking lot is very small with limited parking spots. read more

If you are in Monterey and looking for a good meal, no need to go to one of those high price places. The prices here are the best you will find in the area, and it may be fast food, but its always hot and fresh. Big Mac rocks. So tasty and delicious. Actually i have no taste buds due to many years of allergy drugs, but i still enjoy eating it. And those fries are consistently the same as every Big Mac restaurant, so i always know i can look forward to a great meal at a great price. read more

Second time I have stopped at this Mcdonalds and had to argue over the right order while in the drive thru! A 10 PIECE NUGGET GETS 2 SAUCES!!! Then they forget to add fries to the bag thats included with the combo. They don't believe you when you tell them so they will ask for your bag to look through it as if you're lying. What makes it worse is when they realize they're wrong, they give it to you with no apology. This establishment needs new staff. read more

FYI: download the app for fast food restaurants, because there are 2 for 1/ free/ discounted prices on menu items there. I still enjoy the 2/1 egg McMuffin occasionally and the drive thru is great. I only eat one, then save the other for later; portion control (lol). All food, including fast food has become very expensive. If you have time, there are ways to save. Websites for any given establishment, usually will post special happy hours or deals. Off main dining hours are typically better for service and such. Cheers! read more

McDonald's workers always get something wrong when we order the most basic things! They gave me a ham sandwich when I specifically ordered 2 sausage sandwiches. They don't get everything on the order right and don't put everything together. They have not given me drinks stating we never ordered 2 drinks only one yet my receipt has shown 2! The service here is the worst of any McDonald's I've visited in recent memory. Managers are grossly incompetent, while workers joke, chitchat, and slowly work through orders. We watched my order sit with one burger inside and eventually become cold, while minutes passed for the second. The only reason this place still exists because it's the only drive thru nearby. Since their cones have gone up to 2.89, I decided to treat my mom and I to a chocolate sundae. Cones in Atascadero are 99 cents each, so why is this location 3 times as much? The container the sundae came in looked like it should be for a hard boiled egg and was about that small. You can't even see the ice cream which I'm sure is less than a cone. Not a good container and 3.49 for what? Less ice cream. They even used to give you a pack of nuts. Total rip off. I would not recommend either cone or sundae. read more

All the hallmarks of a standard McDonald's, except it has fancier light fixtures and the black arches out front. Mobile ordering in-store is a bit of a poop show since we didn't get a receipt. That said, it took a long time to get our order, which was two iced teas. All they had to do was give us cups, since beverages are self-serve. Limited seating inside but additional seating outside, which is pretty cool. There's even table shade umbrellas. NOTE: there's a sign that says no drink refills. But how would they know, since the drink machines are self serve? Also, if you need lids, condiments, straws, etc. you need to ask for it. New CA law apparently. EDIT: Unless there's additional parking somewhere I didn't see, the parking lot has a terrible set up. I suggest you back in if planning to dine inside because otherwise you'll be caught up in the drive-thru lane. read more

Around 1:15 Pm 1/16/25 the young woman handing out food was really rude: we ordered a coffee WITH Whip cream and it was charged/ paid for and written in the receipt. This woman was obviously distracted talking with her male coworker and handed the drink without the whip cream and when asked nicely if she could add some (AS ORDERED AND PAID FOR) she rolled her eyes at us and was upset for the rest of the interaction. When you go inside, you are FORCED to use the germy touch-screens for ordering. Think about it, you're putting your hands on a PUBLIC touch-screen, sharing the germs with the last 25 or more people that used it. You cannot order at the counter. Go to any other McDonald's, or better yet, go to In-N-Out, or Five Guys. Yes it'll costs a dollar or two more, but you'll get better food, and you don't have to use PUBLIC touch-screens. read more

Totally ordering at a kiosk as there was no menu on the wall. We paid with cash, so the order was not placed until we went to the counter with registers and paid. No one was at the counter so we had to wait. The bathroom was clean but there were 4 people in front of me. I go here a few times a month, work is about a mile away. Ordered a Bacon McDouble app special today, no onions, pickles or mustard. Order slip stuck on the paper wrapper read, Bacon McDouble, Only Ketchup, Only American Cheese. It came with the most diced onions I've ever seen on their burgers, completely covering and embedded into the cheese, and on the other side of that patty. Can't expect every order to be done right, but this took extra effort to get wrong. I scraped the cheese and onions off and ate; the walk back into the counter, and the time lost in making a new one wasn't worth it. "Light" salt on the fries was evidently read as "lots", too. Tea was good and right mix of ice. Quality of the food is the same as always, varies greatly with the time it's been under the heat lamp, and who assembled it, so you never quite know what you'll get. A greasy burger like a McDouble means the assembler's hands and work surface are greasy, so the outside of the bun will be too. Keep expectations low and you'll be pleasantly surprised every now and again. Have had a very good Filet-O-Fish here and Crispy Chicken too. Ice cream machine is usually working. Main dining room is nice enough, big windows, lots of light. Not sure what Travis was expecting - Kiosk or app ordering is a must at all McD's, and none I know of has a working drink dispenser in the dining room anymore - which is a lot better than paying $3.50+ for a small soda. Paper straw won't last through a whole frappuccino. The parks across the street attract homeless people, so there's often someone stationed at the parking lot exits, but they seem to stay off the property unless they are customers. Monterey has a no-solicitation ordinance, so most of the homeless people won't approach you. I can't beat the price for a quick lunch, so I'll be back. If you're closer to the McD's in Seaside (Del Rey Oaks Bl), it's better (but keep those expectations low) AND you'll get a proper straw. read more

Went here to use the womens restroom. Its very unacceptable that the management here does not provide seat covers in their restrooms stalls. How do you expect your customers to use your restroom.
