We arrived 7 minutes later and the doors were locked with cars in the parking lot. Employees starting walking out the back and leaving while I called the business line and finally a man answered and said they closed early because of weather. He was not very friendly. He also said he would refund our money the next day. The next morning I received a call from him that he couldn't refund the order but would mail a check. Ten days later we received a check in the mail for $11.50. I shredded the check and disputed the charge through my credit card company for the full amount.

The barista then said to me "Yea idk, I know it's a thing but I'm not sure how to do that. So you basically just told me that you are not capable of just making as you usually do, and just putting 'cold milk' instead of scolding hot milk in it, like it was a weird sort of science or had to be a trendy "cold foam" bs. I told her respectfully I did not want any coffee at all, and I was hesitant to purchase anything else I had selected. My husband did want that coffee so he ordered an "iced latte" and when he tasted it, it was just cold brewed american coffee in some watered down creamer liquid. The gentleman who owns it bills himself as grouchy and surly, but we weren't fooled. He's clearly passionate about his business, his cat, and his coffee, including commissioning his own personal blend from a local roaster. Our lattes were smooth and delicious (almond and oat milk). Although pricing is pretty reasonable, especially for the Keys, I do wish they didn't charge extra for plant based milks. WIFI is available with a $5 purchase, and there is a variety of books to browse and/or buy while enjoying a coffee or pastry.
