A sign on the wall of this restaurant indicates that this particular restaurant is owned by The Chapman Family. This sign indicates that comments and suggestions should be sent to 924 New Hampshire Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. The sign indicates that suggestions can also be made by calling 732-886-1552 or by faxing those comments to 732-370-2811. A sign on the front door of this restaurant indicates that the restaurant and the drive-thru lane of this restaurant both open at 6:00 AM. I went to the drive-thru lane of this restaurant at precisely 6:00 AM this morning (Monday, August 27, 2018). I waited for someone to take my order for 10 minutes before I left the drive-thru. I left because no one took my order or even acknowledged my presence. I parked my car in front of the store and I tried to enter the store. All of the doors to the store were locked and I couldn't see any employees inside. Two other men were also waiting outside for someone to open the restaurant. A manager for the McDonald's finally opened the restaurant at 6:15 AM. I was able to place my order a minute later. When I told the manager that took my order that I had been waiting at the drive-thru for more than 10 minutes to place my order, she told me, "Our drive-thru is closed." I doubt the drive-thru lane was closed. There weren't any signs indicating as much. There weren't any traffic cones blocking access to the drive-thru lane either. When I asked this manager why she waited until 6:15 AM to open the store to customers, she said nothing in response. It took longer than usual for me to receive the food that I paid for. I doubt I will be returning to this particular McDonald's restaurant. read more

Got to McD's. at 11am for lunch. Breakfast was over and the lunch crowd hadn't started yet. It was empty but I was in a rush so I ordered the first thing I saw. The McNugget meal, and said to the young cashier, "you only charged me $5, supposed to be $7 something." He left and I thought reported it to someone. He eventually came back with the food, no mention of undercharging me and no receipt. I didn't have time to straighten it out so I left and sat at one of the tables to eat. Not a frequent McD's patron I actually have never ordered McNuggets before today. I will probably never order them again. They were completely dry and barely warm. I'd say they were made the night before; certainly no less than hours ago. Normally these would have been returned but in my haste, I could not. I have never given a one star but this is pretty damn close! read more

This place is an absolute joke, if you have any sense in your head just go into the shoprite that this heap is in the parking lot of. picked up a Happy meal last week they forgot the toy, imagine the disappointment on my 4 yr old's face. Today 2 of the 6 cheeseburgers had no patties on them. Specifically this store in Jackson. I'm not sure what the night crew is doing/up to at night. But almost every time I get something from there. Specifically at night. They ALWAYS forget to give me something!! Or they give me the complete opposite of what I ordered. I totally understand it's night time, and you run out of things. And I'm not ordering 5 minutes before they close. It's well a few hours before so I'm assuming you should have stuff!! And it's never just one thing they forget!! It's just very frustrating cause coming from someone who worked in that industry you think they would be more aware of the orders and what they are handing out to people. It's fast food but that doesn't mean cut half my order out to make it faster! The food is good there. But their service is awful at night!! Before you leave there please double check your bags so you don't leave without half your food!! I have also received an order one time with cash and change inside. It says they open at 6am I came around 6:15 stood at the drive through for about 5 minutes and had no one answer me. It looked like there weren't many lights on inside either didn't look very open but I had my hopes up and tried since it says they were open at 6. I don't go to this particular McDonalds often because it is very slow and today was no different. I went around 3pm so it wasn't crowded. Just one car ahead of me. I ordered the 3 dollar chicken strips and fries. When i got to the second window after paying, i had to wait at least three minutes thinking the person in front of me was waiting for their food. Nope they were just chatting, which i find pretty rude when other people are waiting. I got my order, which I didn't check, big mistake. Instead of strips i had a chicken sandwich, and the fries were way undercooked to the point of being mealy and not at all crispy. Not at all worth the wait. read more

This has got to be the worst service I've ever had. I ordered through the touch screen and sat down and waited for my food to be brought to me. When I received my order half of it was missing so I politely went up to the counter and I asked them for what was missing. They gave my drinks but still waited for the other it took them 15 mins to receive my 2 large fries, apple juice, and McCafé shake. The one worker totally ignored me, when the manager came out I explained what happened and he was understanding but still it shouldn't take a total of 20 mins for a "fast food" place to get my order all together. Probably the worst McDonalds I've been to and I've been to the Golden Arches in 3 continents..... Only reason I give them 1 star is because the friendliness of the middle school aged children running it. My McMuffin had been in the heating rack so long that the bottom was totally, and I actually mean totally hard, cracker hard. Even though I asked for 3 cream and 3 sugars in my coffee, it was totally bitter and about one shade gray from black... I like McDonalds, it's not fine dining but you know what you get and the food are nearly always fresh. This particular one is definitely the exception that proves the rule. If I was corporate McDonalds I would buy this franchise back from the current owner and give it to one of the thousands of good operators out there. read more

Stopped in for a "snack". My associate was Lynette. She instantly smiled & was very nice & personable. My food was hot & delish. The restrooms were clean & tidy as well as the dining area. Everyone seemed to work together. Team Work!!! I'll definitely visit this spot when I'm in the area again!! read more

I haven't been to a McDonald's in years... figured I'd come in and see what they did to the place. Completely remodeled, modernized, clean and actually pretty. I hate to say it but I totally love it. Tall tables, round tables, cushioned seats and decent music. They even bring your order to you! Has a Starbucks vibe but not so dark and moody! Will I come back any time soon? Probably not until another few years go by and a craving hits. But if I was a regular McDonald's diner, I'd come here for sure. read more

Easy order in Drive thru surprised me by exceeding my expectations. I expected 2 fries and an ice cream cone. I got an experienced happy young person taking my order and receive my payment with ease as he took the order behind me, a smiling young lady give me a very pretty symmetrical ice cream cone and 2 very full hot French fries:) This crew knew how to run it here and I was happy about how quickly we were back on the road. read more

This has to be one of the poorest run Mc'Donalds that exists. Went in at 2:00 pm for lunch, hardly anyone in the place. Took 20 minutes for food to arrive at our table. No ice available in soda dispensers, no cups given to us by counter person after ordering, ketchup dispensers empty as were the little cups to put the ketchup into, employee trying to get ice for their drink, shakes their head as no ice was available and they keep going without doing anything about the situation. Two soda selections were empty in one dispenser. Very disappointing as the building looks brand new. Will not return, will try Burger King on other side of highway next time. read more

I used to love this McDonald's since it's the closest fast food place to me, but now I refuse to go there unless I'm with my friends and I'm starving. I will probably only get a smoothie or a fruit n yogurt parfait. I got a chicken nugget meal and got horrible food poisoning!! This is the first time they didn't mess up my order! Yeah! The place is clean. Slow at times when you place your order. I don't think they have enough people working. Same with the other location on veterans. I ordered a sweet chicken chili wrap with no cucumbers to go. I get home and the wrap had cucumbers and no CHICKEN!! Ha. Good one right. I will never go back to this McDonald every again the women that was on the speaker was nasty I went today for breakfast with my husband that is a wounded warrior vet and she was so rude from the beginning of the order I try to order the two for four breakfast sandwiches and she keeps on telling me that it is not the right ones for the meal so I ordered the right ones for the two for four and I had a coupon from the app as well and she charging me the regular price for the breakfast sandwich which was $3.79 each and does not take off the discount for the two for four of the breakfast sandwiches so I ask her about it and she tells me that there is nothing that she can do if I don't like the order I can speak to a manager so I said sure the manager came into the woman then talk bad in front of me to the manager and walked away so I will never go there again really nasty Employees that work there and it's a shame because Jackson is such a good family community and for such a nasty women I wish nothing but karma for her...a disgrace!!!!!! If the drive thru was or was not closed on 8/27/18, it's irrelevant. What's relevant here is that -- contrary to what Dave C is saying about Jim M -- the "prick" here is reviewer Dave C himself (Is this Dave C monitoring Yelp to jump in and write a nice review about this awful McD's plus blasting the other reviewer JUST HOURS after the other reviewer wrote his well-documented review?). This Dave C must be part of the Chapman family (owners of this restaurant) and must be getting paid to write nice reviews. His problem is that he is jealous of Jim M's writing, persuasiveness and analytical skills. What is relevant here is that even if the drive-thru was closed on 8/27, it wasn't closed during the week of 7/16 when I went thru it with my family just after 6AM and received extremely poor service, on top of very cold breakfast eggs and sausage. For the record, I have been to this restaurant's drive-thru perhaps 3-4 times in the last 5 or so years, and it has always been the same awful and arrogant service. To add insult to injury, when you ask for the manager, it is the manager herself who has always been linked to every bad experience I had I have had there. BTW, for years I have been shopping weekly at the ShopRite in the same shopping plaza as this restaurant. But I am giving this restaurant a 1 star rating because, even though I am often in this restaurant's market area, I won't return there EVEN IF THEY PAID ME. If I could give it ZERO stars, I would, but the system didn't allow it. We don't need a business like this in Jackson; I hope they go out of business soon. read more
