This has got to be the worst ran McDonald's in the Birmingham area. They have a lot of employees cussing and shooting the bull instead of working. Unfortunately my kids like McDonald's and it's the closest one to the house. The typical wait time with no one in line is at least 10 minutes. It's honestly insane that this place can CONSISTENTLY close a whole f****** hour early than they're supposed to. Instead of saying something over the intercom, they'll collectively stand outside yelling "we're closed!" "We're closed people, we're closed!" Please read ENTIRE review. The only reason I am giving 5 stars is for the STAFF that assisted with my complaints today. One, being Wendy. She was running the front counter and doing her darndest to make sure things were handled on her end as best as she could. She was obviously a little flustered with the way things were running, however upfront, she was doing her best to maintain a healthy work environment and making sure the customers were taken care of. Second employee of notice, was Ivorie. She was off the clock and sitting patiently for her ride. She saw my dissatisfaction and eagerly was interested in checking on me and apologizing for my awful experience. Linda was the manager on duty and apologized towards the end of the experience. Now for the nasty part. The reason I am writing other than the employees who were kind to me, was the wait was pretty bad- but that's okay. But I ordered my son and I a meal, mine was a double quarter pounder. It came out raw. I ate two bites and looked down to realize the burger was pretty underdone. I was disappointed and went to Wendy and she hastily took it back and told me she would try her best to get another one the way shortly. However, during this time, I saw a couple with their small kids waiting. And waiting. And waiting. They were also waiting on a remake of their burger and it had taken a good 45 minutes or so. We ended up getting our burgers at the same time, and to my surprise, mine once again was raw, but EVEN MORE than the first! I was so disappointed. Being a previous chef, I get it. It's easy to get in the weeds and hard to get out of sometimes. It seemed like whoever was on the grill was not familiar with cooking on a grill- there are hot and cool spots and it's crucial to be familiar with the grill. My second patty was completely raw on one side and underdone on the other. I gave the manager tips on how he can find the cool/warm spots on the grill and hoped that it would help. I swear we must be trying to find the slowest McDonald's restaurants in our area - or at least we seem to be over the past few weeks. This one was definitely in the top 3 slowest ones we've ever been to, though not as bad the other one we went to that week - which is very surprising. Maybe it was a staffing issue? As far as McDonald's goes, this is one of the best I've been to in a very long time. It was really slow when I went, so it was nice and quiet, and the staff were all very helpful and friendly while I was having issues with the mobile app. I got a double quarter pounder meal and it was easily the best fast-food burger I've had in a long time. I'm a college student, so McDonald's is definitely somewhere I find myself quite often, and I will definitely be returning to this one! read more

If I could give a 0 I would. I tried this place about 8 months ago and after waiting 15 minutes I finally got something close to what I ordered. Decided not to go back. Made a mistake today and tried again. First the MCD Kiosks are an absolute mess. It takes forever to make a simple order and prompts over and over to upsell things I DO NOT WANT. I went into the store and spent 5 minutes trying to get someone (anyone) to notice I was waiting to place an order. I gave up and used the useless kiosk and started waiting for my order. Another 15 minutes later I got the now cold order that was missing the $1 item I ordered. Ate part of the sandwich (chicken) and tried the very very cold and soggy fries. I tried to get someone's attention to complain and finally gave up. I left the mostly uneaten lunch on the table, tossed my drink in the trash and left. The food is good, my orders are usually correct 4/5 times. However, the staff is usually quite rude and unpleasant and today when I went inside to pick up my food I noticed two females with their hair down, no caps or nets holding their hair back while they prepared my order, this is a health violation and at most just gross. I understand working in fast food isn't the greatest job but this "i don't care" attitude needs to go from these workers. When I ask to talk to the manager , they make me wait for 15 (!) minutes to "remake " my order . If you mess up so bad , at least try and make your customers happy . Coffee was supposed to be a decaf, but didn't realize until I got home it was not marked as decaf (on the cup lid or on an order sticker that normally is on the cup). We just left the drive-through after waiting 42 minutes on our food. Once we get to the window to pay our food is wrong so they sent it back and when we got our food I requested two new orders of fries and they were polite about doing so. It takes approx. 20 minutes to process the 5 - 6 breakfast orders in front of me. Payment: Sparkling personality and joyful greeting....hardly. The amount and nothing but the amount. Oh, wait sorry then there was the blank stare waiting for me to hand over payment. Food Window: Thank goodness I wasn't the poor soul in front of me that got waived on to the next window....that is the window where you roll the dice, which will come first?? the end of the world or your order. Had gone for a quick breakfast and ordered through their mobile app. Once I arrived they informed me that I still owed them the amount (2.17) even though I had already paid for my order online. I checked my bank account and the money had already been withdrawn, so I knew for sure that I had paid for my order. The manager then told me that we need to be more careful using that app because now she had to promo the order out and it's because of this that they are constantly losing money. The employees clearly don't want to be there. I was there when the clock hit 9pm and the girl behind the register threw her hands up and celebrated, "9 O'Clock! I'm done!" THE worst McDonalds I have EVER been to. Every time I go, it is a disappointment. The sausage egg McMuffin I had included part of a napkin or hardened plastic in the cheese. Another time, the cook had put what looked like an over easy egg with no cheese on the sausage egg McMuffin. This time, the fish fillet was awfully made. Over half of the cheese fell off of the bun. Sauce was only on one side of the sandwich. I only go here because it's so close to home and it's convenient. They need to do some serious house cleaning and fire the cooks! Management seems off too. The worst McD ever. No matter how many times I go and tell myself it will be better and not like the last time, they never disappoint and find a way to make it worse. Today's visit: Manager on duty sees me at counter to order but ignores me for 2min, then tells me "I see you sir". I think to myself "I know you do but clearly don't care to greet or assist me?" So shortly a cashier comes to take order. During so a lady asked for straws as the drink station area was out. Just hands her a large handful of straws, seemingly as if saying "Here can you fill it up?". Now I complete my order and of course need to get my drink. Manager leaves from behind the counter. You think she would fill up the straws??? Nope. Instead starts sweeping the dining area, which did need it but you can easily fill up the straws in like 15sec and get to that. I get my drink and to make a point to the manager go to her and ask for a straw. She without even turning to me says they are at the front counter. I look and see none, so I inform her I don't see them. She turns and says the ladys behind the counter can get me one. I then ask her why she didn't fill them up after being told just a bit ago. Telling me "I'm working on that". I tell her she isn't and would help more customers by taking the few seconds to get them filled up. She again brushes me off. This really irks me and while against better judgement and plenty of horrible experiences there I decide that if she wants to clean I will give her more to clean and just drop my drink to the floor in front of her and leave the store with no food.
