Almost every time I go to the drive thru I am given the wrong order. This time was bad.... I repeated the items in my order to the drive-thru operator as he handed me the bag. He agreed that all items were in the bag. Just to get home to find that the majority of my order was missing. I drove all the way back and spoke to the manager. She apologized and offered me to replace my order with all fresh items. She gave my order back and apologized again and said she threw in some apple pies for my inconvenience. When I got home this was my findings..... not only are the free apple pies not fresh, they were EXPIRED! Even expired from when I went to the drive thru the first time.... Am I surprised? Horrible McDonald's location. Would not recommend. The workers are rude as everyone else on here says. They actively avoid customers who need help with there orders. Staring people dead in the eyes and walking away. And when a customer does speak up to ask a question the workers get very visibly upset and frustrated. If you can't handle your job at a high pace fast food restaurant maybe go work somewhere else? I'm almost certain the manager here encourages this behavior and does it themselves. It's pretty suspicious that these rude workers have been around for so long. Not to mention this place is some kind of major hotspot for local people dining in and wait times can become extremely long especially on weekend mornings. On top of this from the times I've gone there's ALWAYS 1 or 2 seemingly homeless people loitering around INSIDE THE RESTAURANT asking for money and the restaurant is okay with this behavior? I never expected to make a review of Macdonald's but I have been so consistently impressed by this one since moving here. I was also super surprised by the bad reviews because I have always found the service to be fast, accurate and fresh. The food actually taste better here, which I don't understand because it's Macdonald's and consistency is their thing. One thing to be clear though is that the emphasis is on the drive thru. Every time I have gone inside it has taken a long time to have my order taken or prepared. As if they put me in the order of my arrival and I had waited in the drive thru line anyway. Lesson learned; just stay in the drive thru. Additionally, we noticed that when you g eat two happy meals they make sure to put the same toy so kids don't end up fighting. This location has only two stars, which as a primarily drive-thru customer is a little baffling to me. I'm a year and a half, they've never got my order wrong, my fries are always hot, and I never wait for long. And thennnnn occasionally I'll sit inside to eat, and here's the issue. Four out of four times, without fail, if I sit down to eat I will have someone bother me for money, for food, for my debit card. Now, I'm not a jerk. I've gifted food to people before. But here, it's young 20-somethings with fashionable street wear, yeezys and perfect hair. They ain't starving. They're maskless and hanging out on tables cleared labeled "do not use". Ordered a big breakfast and the muffins were burnt..kindly let the staff know.. the respond was "we make it that way" . I said I have never had burnt muffins of all my years of ordering breakfast. He told another staff there and she interjected that I didn't ask for light toast. This is my go-to-place for breakfast on the run. The sausage McMuffins are tasty enough that I could eat them every day. They only cost a dollar so it is a bargain. They also make an ideal road-trip morning meal. I have become a regular at this location. I think they might even know my voice when I place my order. It seldom changes. Or maybe I am the only customer who just orders 1 cookie as it seems that my order is on the screen before I finish talking. "May I take your order?" "I would like 1 chocolate chip cookie and medium diet coke and that will be all." "Is your order correct on the screen?" "Yes." "That will be a $1.52." "Thank you." When I drive to the window the people taking my money and the people handing me my order are always pleasant. Andrew one of the young men at the cash register is wonderful. Oh McDonald's. Back in the day, you were the only fast food place in the Hercules/ Rodeo area. I'm not a big fan of this McDonald's. If I have to eat, I'll just go through the drive through. Service and staff isn't the best, then again, this is a fast food place. Probably the only people who keep this place going are the old retired Filipino men who come here every morning to buy a cup of coffee and remember the good old days back in the old country. I swear, they are there every morning. And about the staff, they are dead serious about kids who are older than 10 not playing in the play area. I was so sad to see the playground go... and have them replace it with iPads. Burger and fries and iPad = obesity and loner. Very disappointed that only 2/5 of my items were correct. Ordered a quarter pounder deluxe with cheese and was given a regular quarter pounder with cheese. Soda was supposed to be a Sprite Tropical Berry, and I got Sprite. 1 of the strawberry cream pies I got was an apple pie. The fries were correct but holy cow they were way saltier than they usually are. Drive thru took a long time as well. Averaged about 4 minutes per vehicle, at 11pm. Okay so first off, make sure to always ask for your receipt and double check because they have forgotten to add an order or say you didn't order this or that. Second, always, always!! Check your bag to make sure you got everything you ordered inside. They will forget to give you your food. Esp the Happy Meals! They have given me the wrong food, missing items from my bag. This MDs is extremely stingy! They won't give you ketchup or napkins unless you ask. Also, if you want additional BBQ or Sweet and Sour sauce, you need to pay for it.
