I've been to this McDonald for a while, don't go too often, but since they put in a double drive thru, it seems to alleviate the back up. The prices has gone up, some of their food is not bad. Still like my nuggets and sweet tea. You also can't go wrong with their breakfast menu. It feels like they have new people that work, their service a bit better than the last time I reviewed them. I feel the ambiance is mostly go through the drive through which them putting a double drive through helps. They still have indoor/outdoor seating and no playland since my last review. Overall, you want something quick and don't want to wait this is the place for you. But there are other better burger joints than McDonald's. read more

This location is pretty busy for the most part during certain hours of the day as it is in the shopping center of Luckys. It is also in close proximity of schools and a different shopping center which means easy access for people to just get in line. The food is always fresh. I have never had an issue with that. That ice cream machine works :-) The ambience is cute. The outside has been reconstructed to look more modernized the inside as well. The inside has tabletop screens where children and their caregivers or peers can engage in playing games with one another. There are Kiosks available if you need more time processing what you want and they have people that will take your order. There is a great amount of parking spaces as well as parking spots allocated for pick up order. Staff are pretty nice as well. read more

My first time here, we stopped by to get breakfast on the way back home. The place was clean and pretty busy for a Sunday morning. Service was fast. I thought it was pretty cool that they had a little kids table where they can play with a tablet while they eat or keep them busy while the parents eat. I felt kind of old thinking about when I was younger and they had the PlayPlace or playground you can play in. What happened to kids being active instead of being glued to an electronic device? Found myself at McDonalds due to a choose your own adventure in Hercules with the kids making all the decisions. This review is primarily about the Happy Meal (foreshadowing here) which should be rebranded as the World's Saddest Meal. The kids made the choice of the main - a "hamburger". I'm withholding the urge to put quotes on everything because this food item barely meets the requirements for being a burger. Size - a very small child might be satisfied with this. Bun - the most affordable white bread that is available. The most appalling thing about the hamburger is the patty, which is flavorless and rubbery. It is also so thin, it looks like it has been through the same process for plating gold onto jewelry. For sides, they ran out of apple fries, so the two kids fries were combined into one small fries - equivalent to half a handful of fries. Milk - acceptable Toy - kids were excited by an Elio toy, but that excitement quickly faded when the toy was opened. It was an alien on a blue plastic tray. The toy came with plastic tongs that you pinch to propel the alien. It didn't work well at all, and something tells me that most of the cost goes into the licensing (there's way better stuff $1 toys on Temu!) Another terrible experience. So my girls ordered through the app for Uber Eats delivery. A 10 piece chicken nuggets was missing. They called, the girl just hung up on them after learning food was missing! Called again, this time I took over the call and asked for the manager. I ordered nuggets and a crispy chicken sandwich, BOTH had what looked like fried rodent or animal hair on top of the sandwich that was in the wrapper and on top the nuggets inside the box! Pretty impressed by this Mickee D's! It's been so long since I've been inside of one and I decided to stop by the one near my place for a quick snack. Super modern inside. Self-order kiosks, sleek tile walls, gray, black, yellow hues, stylish minimalist art, clean bathrooms- I felt like Dorothy in Wizard of Oz! Using the convenient self-ordering kiosk, I got 3 things from the $1-$3 menu: small fries, double cheeseburger, and 4 piece chicken nuggets. Upon checkout, there was a $1 discount, which brought my total to an incredible $6.49. Minutes after I placed my order and put my number tag on my table, an employee whisked out and dropped off my food. Now that's service! Food was ok, the usual fast food quality, but definitely had an above average experience. One thing I would suggest is to have more of the tables cleaned. I'm typically a drive-thru only customer, and thankfully, I've never had a mishap at this location. As expected around 12-1pm and 5pm the drive-thru line is huge, so I go around those times. The crispy chicken sandwiches lack the crispness, so the texture makes it seem like it's a grilled chicken sandwich instead. Recently I ordered a Deluxe Quarter Pounder, and the only difference I could tell in the pictures between a Deluxe and Regular Quarter Pounder is that the Deluxe has lettuce. I'm not a fan of the burgers and sandwiches from McDonalds because right after eating, it makes me feel fatigued, so I prefer food from Burger King and In N Out instead. Though, I highly recommend trying the guava pies which I believe are new this year. There is guava jelly and cream cheese (?) in the center, 10/10. read more

Wasn't even going to write this but when I got home they pmo. Ordered an egg McMuffin meal and when I looked at the board, somehow it only showed an orange juice. I told her "no, I wanted a number one with orange juice an extra egg McMuffin. I thought she corrected it until I got to the window and the dude gave me a little bag. Don't go to Hercules McDonald's they're awful. Disappointing all around. Used to go here for the drive thru often. A few times my kids orders were given to us wrong and I had to spend extra time going back to get the correct one but I was met with a rude service instead of saying it's their mistake and they don't mind fixing their mistakes. Yesterday we chose to eat inside, but the lobby was closed between 2-6pm because of this locations aggressive dislike towards students from nearby schools. Nowhere on their business page or listed hours does it say they close during that time, had it been posted anywhere except their glass doors we would have chosen not to stop there. My 5 year old needed to use the restroom (and we were ordering for lunch) but they said lobby is closed. Their response "there are other restaurants with bathrooms". How they operate under a franchise name and still suck money out of customers without letting them use the dining room or restrooms is beyond me. I went to this McDonalds back May after ordering on their app. I had requested drive thru but when I got there there was construction and it was blocked off. I usually use the drivethru because I have some mobility problems. Anyway I tried calling their number several times but the phone calls were not being picked up. I finally called their customer service and explained the problem. I told them I was parked right at their front door. They said that they would call them and let them know I was there and just to sit tight. 20 minutes later, I called them again. Again they said that they would let them know I was out there waiting. Did I mentioned that this was ine of the days that the temp was in the 90's? After waiting another 20 minutes, I was fuming I called back to tell them to cancel my order and refund my money. They said that someone from the store would be calling me and refund my money. 2 months later and 11 calls to customer service, the situation still hasn't been rectified. I got one message saying called them back finally last week. I called and they again said that they will be calling me back. Again I haven't had a return call. It's now the principal of the matter. McDonald's has been in Hercules since 1990. When I moved to Hercules in 1988 there wasn't a McDonald's and where it is located at was just dirt and hill. McDonald's has been serving Hercules for nearly 30 years. Every morning the place is filled with people eating breakfast. During lunch and dinner it attracts children coming out of school at Ohlone Elementary. McDonald's was recently remodel. It use to have a playground but hey got rid of it. Now this location has 4 self service kiosk for people to order their food. McDonald's can have bad service but if you know what you want to order then just order your food. read more

He agreed that all items were in the bag. Just to get home to find that the majority of my order was missing. I drove all the way back and spoke to the manager.
