    Food we demolished

Breakfast was amazing! Wished they heard our request on the sausage and cheese McMuffin, INSTEAD of the sausage egg and cheese McMuffin. Over all amazing service in the drive thru. Would come back!

Large new Turtle Macchiato (mine is nonfat). Yes. Yummy!

I couldn't stop laughing. No, I'm not being sarcastic. It was crowded, but hey, it's a Saturday morning. O.k. I had to ask, wending my way through the crowd, who had ordered v who was waiting for food. I ordered Egg White Delight, meat OTS (for someone's dogs). First time, it was sausage (supposed to be Canadian bacon, but o.k. It was for mutts). It was cold, because I waited for my coffee. Next 2 times, I got Canadian bacon, but on sandwiches. And again, cold (still waiting for coffee). Ate my sandwich, and went for (decaf) coffee refill, since that was now cold. The GM said THEY RAN OUT. All this by 8:45 a.m. Who does the inventory and ordering here? Running out of any coffee, especially on a weekend morning, is ridiculous. The dining room was dirty, but I found the only clean table. And the floor was no prize, either. However, the young, male cashier (who was new, and didn't know how to enter OTS requests, and the GM, were really nice. The GM came to my table, apologized again for the coffee, and gave me 2 BOG cards for meals. He also again, said he was going right out to get decaf coffee. Hence, the 2 stars. I'm still here, waiting for coffee. Someone, give me a mop, broom, cloth, and vinegar and water (natural disinfectant, 50/50 ratio). I'll clean and disinfect the dining room while waiting. For COFFEE. I don't do well without coffee. Just saying. Finally left. Still book coffee.

On a Sunday morning in July, I made a visit to Fig Tree Coffee for a coffee drink. I found myself…read morein the Crafton area, and wanted to visit a local shop. Fig Tree Coffee is a newer coffee shop located in Crafton, right by the elementary school. They serve hot coffee, iced coffee, espresso drinks, tea, chai, and more. In addition to drinks, there are some food options available, along with gift-type items. Directly in front of the building, there is street parking available. There is also a private lot located to the left of the entrance for the entire building. The signage in the windows identifying the business makes it easy to locate. Fig Tree is truly a community coffee shop. It has plenty of seating, and proudly displays pieces of the community it serves. They have a bulletin board with local businesses, community events, and other information. Patrons seem to get their items and utilize the space to hang out and socialize. It is nice to see a place like this being utilized as intended! I stopped here around 8:45 AM, and it was not too crowded. There were a few other patrons in the building and in line ahead of me, but I only had to wait a few minutes to order my drink. It can be sort of overwhelming to try and order here, since the menu is so bare and there are not a ton of "special" drinks advertised. However, the baristas and staff will make anything you really are wanting, so I would not worry about this! They have different flavorings and combinations, you just need to ask or make a combination that you want to try when ordering. The barista that helped me on this visit was lovely. I was not exactly sure what I wanted, so I asked what she typically would order or make for herself. She ended up making me that exact drink in a 16 OZ Iced Drink. I enjoyed getting to try something different that I would not have picked for myself! Service was quick. I was in and out with my coffee in about 7 minutes, and that included waiting in line and taking a minute to order. The prices here are reasonable, and in line with what other local coffee shops are charging for similar products. They do accept both cash and card here, just FYI. I did not purchase any food or pastries, but the coffee prices were right in line with expectations. The vibe of this place is very cool, with a true community cafe feel. I love that they highlight their community. Not only with the people and events, but they even with a wall of Polaroids of the dogs that visit the shop! I even had a dog in line in front of me, so they are dog-friendly here. I give Fig Tree Coffee a positive review, and do recommend giving the shop a try if you find yourself in Crafton or the West End. It is a newer shop, but already has great ambiance and community presence. The staff are friendly, drinks are tasty, it is dog-friendly, and it is a great space to hang out or get some work done. I look forward to future visits to Fig Tree when I find myself in the area.

Amazing place with great, cozy ambiance and seating area to grab a drink and a little snack too!…read more The barista was really helpful, and their Pumpkin Spice Latte was lovely to sip, though the flavor wasn't very strong. They source their baked goods from BB & Burr, and wow, they never disappoint! The chocolate chip scone was perfectly flavored and crumbly, can never go wrong with them. Overall, it's a great local spot that's part of the community and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Jabanero strawberry and blueberry cheesecake are a couple that I remember the best. I'd recommend a sampler tray on your first visit, so you can test out a few before your commit. The bar service was attentive and the server was very helpful! I was lucky to connect with the owner, Dave, while there that night, too. He ensured that everything was running smoothly and that we were all satisfied. If you're in the mood for video games or board games, this is the place for you! The ambiance is relaxed... you're on your own time. Nobody is going to rush you out the door. Definitely give this place a try next time you're in the mood for a night of drinks, and a different, positive experience.

The space on Mary Street is huge but still feels incredibly laid-back, with low lighting, garage doors that open up when the weather is nice, and a massive wall of board games. It's the kind of casual neighborhood spot where you can easily hang out for hours over a flight, and they even share the space with a brewery now if you want to switch things up with a classic pub ale. As for the drinks, the flavors are genuinely creative and well-balanced. You can get everything from smooth, traditional honey blends to wilder variations fermented with things like fruit, hot peppers, or tea. A flight of five is the best way to try a little bit of everything, especially since the bartenders are super down-to-earth and happy to help you find something you'll actually like. Whether you're planning a casual date night or just looking for a cool weekend hangout spot in Carnegie, it's absolutely worth a visit.

More than two years later and this Dunkin' is still the slowest one in town…read more If you're stalking my check-ins you'll see that I DO come here when I don't have time to drive elsewhere. But I'm only a regular due to its proximity. I still never get into the drive-thru line, unless I'm meandering through my afternoon. That's it though, because I'm always in the drive-thru line for going on 10 minutes or more. Instead I use the mobile app to order ahead, and I go into the store to pick up my order. Sometimes this strategy works; but I can always tell when someone new is working at Dunkin' because they won't put anything out on the mobile order pick-up shelves. Instead, they hoard all the orders behind the counter...and then run around making other orders. They don't call the names of people whose items are still sitting behind the counter. They're running around so quickly that it always takes me several minutes to get their attention. And by the time I do, my breakfast sandwiches are always cold. Speaking of breakfast sandwiches: sometimes I get the right one, sometimes I don't. I prefer my orders on bagels, but my favorite option automatically comes on a croissant. Half the time the Dunkin' team reads my full order and gets it right; half the time they don't. I definitely stand by my original assessment: don't come here if you want something quickly. That said, it's also obvious that this space isn't big enough for the staff to do what they need to do, so I don't entirely blame the team for things moving at a glacial pace. I've never seen any of the staff standing around doing nothing; so while part of my review criticized when they don't pay attention to the details, I know they're trying.
