Best McDonald's quarter pounder I ever had. Very good experience. Had to go out of my way to write a review.

I'm not saying any of the bad reviews about this place are wrong. The bathrooms aren't super clean. The staff aren't always super efficient. That said, for some reason this McDonalds has a calming effect on my young son who hates to drive. I don't know if it's the leather sofa, or table that changes color when you touch it, but he loves it here, and it chills him out for the rest of our trip. In my travels I've had the opportunity to try many McDonalds, and I'm sensitive to the variations in food quality between them. The food here is on the high end of the Mickey D's quality spectrum. Maybe they put the effort that other stores put into bathroom cleanliness into getting the fries just right. I don't know but I'm willing to walk through the occasional puddle if it gets me 5 star fries. Five Stars. Never change you magnificent filthy bastards. read more

I think for a McD's this place is good. It is clean; kid friendly without feeling only welcoming to kids; employees were pleasant and the bathrooms were clean. We were able to use the app to order and get 20% off. I always check there first because usually you can use some deal or another while getting rewards. My son ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and a sausage burrito with a McFlurry. The order was made rather quickly which was also great. Thank you! read more

Cheapest thing now is the coffee which is very good. All other food overpriced now. Service is fast especially for the drive thru. The smoothie is low in calorie but contains too much slush ice.. read more

Good place to stop for lunch on a rather desolate stretch of I-84. Got a filet-o-fish and a small diet Coke to go. Good service - nice folks! NOTE: The register receipt I received documents the address as: "Lords Valley, PA." The McDonald's web site for this location lists the city as "Hawley." Neither one is generating a map. read more

If you are on the road looking for a meal, KEEP DRIVING! The sign that reads closed for cleaning should have been posted on their front door. Flies everywhere , and garbage piles everywhere made for completely unsanitary conditions. As we stood bewildered in disgust watching employees continue to work oblivious to the filth , we made a decision to cancel our order and get a refund. McDonald's has made a turn for the worse and I will forever be scarred by this experience. This store needs immediate corporate intervention!!! read more

My burger was made incorrectly and when returning to counter, I was approached by an extremely RUDE team lead. Instead of asking "how can I help you? ", she copped an attitude and said to me "what's the matter?!" I said (holding out the burger) " this was made wrong " this time she says What's the problem?!" I explained and she snatched the burger out of my hand and threw it across the kitchen near the fry station complaining about ME!! I was shocked! She continued to box the fries and while bagging, she dropped the remade burger on the floor kicking it around!! She realized what she had done then finally went and made a 3rd one handing it to me mumbling something that I couldn't hear. I checked the burger at the counter to make sure it was made right this time. She says as she's walking away, " what, now you don't believe me?!" Shocked again, I said "I am a paying customer and your team made a mistake. Instead of apologizing to me for the mistakes that had been made you're blaming me?!" Then she said.... "can't you see I'm busy??" WHAT??? This woman has NO BISINESS being in the SERVICE BISINESS!! Telling me that I gave HER an attitude when in front of her team and other paying customers, she's throwing food and screaming at me that SHE is busy. Totally unprofessional and has no business having that job! read more

If you're buying something from here make sure it can only be made fresh. Forget ordering fries and nuggets... the ones you will get were definitely made 10 hours ago. The crazy thing is the customer service it on point... maybe make new stuff once you wouldn't eat it yourself? read more

Missing hotcakes from the order this morning ~ Also asked for extra scrambled eggs, but that wasn't rung up so I understand it's not "missing," just a mistake. No biggie. Worked in food industry for almost 10 years now, I do understand it happens and that's not what's upsetting. But we live almost 25 minutes away and I am sick, so this breakfast was a treat. Called to explain that the hotcakes were missing as well as the scrambled eggs, and whoever answered the phone acted like I kicked his dog and stole his wallet. I've worked restaurant management, I know how it can be. We were inconvenienced and paid for food we did not receive and I was hoping for an easy resolution, like a name and info we could give to receive "free" hotcakes on next visit, or the hotcakes redone and eggs that were not charged comped since we'd have to drive 25 minutes back. Nope, the guy on the phone was highly annoyed and wanted us to pay for the eggs as if it would be coming out of his paycheck otherwise. Obviously I'm sick as stated and I won't be coming back, at least during the day. We never have any issues when going at night, so clearly not all management is this way. Though hopefully he isn't a manager bc his customer service skills are horrible and his attitude is even worse. Overall, frustrated and annoyed that I was spoken to as if I was just trying to pull one over on him instead of an inconvenienced customer after a simple mistake was made and could have been fixed easily. Super clean, food is well McDonald's.... The bathrooms were quite clean. Good as a stop on you're way to you're destination.

Worst mcdonalds anywhere. Its a gamble if you will get the correct food thru the drive thru. Always check your bag before yoy pull away as the chance are about 50 percent you will be shorted something. The owners own a couple of locations and they wont sell the dollar menu because they want every penny possible. read more

Staff always does their best and has a positive attitude. They get swamped w summer tourists so just be patient!! Word of advice--check your bags make sure all your food is in there. Easy off, easy on. Exit 34 off I-84 in PA. Used the drive thru last night - always friendly and always interest in my companion parrot who travels with me. Don't recall ever having a mistake in my order. I stop here a few times a year as I pass thru the area. read more

This is the same McDonalds on yelp that says it's in Lords Valley - so this is the same review. You can get much better food by stopping in any of the exits (Port Jervis, Manamoras & Milford) before this grease pit. You can smell the grease stench from a mile away, which is a shame in such a rural area. If the smell alone doesn't give you heart problems the food will kill you - it's your choice. Too bad McDonald's doesn't have a Cardiologist on the menu. Maybe an option for truckers with semis because the parking lot is fitted for large trucks, but for day trippers or children or adults there are much better options than this pollution producing armpit. read more

Its true, they do not have the $1 menu but they do have other great deals. The huge banner hanging outside says they offer $0.69 hamburgers, so thats better than the dollar menu. I think my favorite place about this location is people watching. Route 84 in the poconos is basically in the middle of no where. You could easily go 10-15 minutes in between exits, so if you need to stop, you do it when you can. When I eat at this location I normally stay there to eat and watch the people. About 90% of the people that go inside use the bathroom and leave. To me its amazing how many people only use their bathroom. Since this is such a huge restroom stop, you see all sort of people. I just love seeing the interesting people that will walk by you. read more

5 Stars using roadside fast food as a guide. Very clean including bathrooms. Service is friendly and quick, unless a bus pulls in for a pit stop from Rt. 84. Close to Highway is a plus. Waited 15 min just to use the bathroom because employee and another customer were changing and they were not speedy about it. Tried to be quick to use self checkout and pay option was broken. Then waited another 15-20 min for food and they told me they were out of biscuits. I had ordered 2. Replaced with McMuffins. Since they were more I asked if my daughter could have a happy meal toy and they obliged. Was at least happy with that. Food was good. read more

I complained to corporate a few weeks ago about having rotten lettuce put on my chicken sandwich. I was told that this should never have happened and that it was not the norm for making sandwiches. I received a refund. Well, last night my son bought me a chicken sandwich meal and guess what??? More rotten lettuce on my sandwich. It appears that no one is monitoring the quality of food that is being put on the sandwiches. I once again threw the sandwich in the garbage as I was not about to eat black lettuce for fear of food poisoning. I would suggest that people be very careful and check on the quality and safety of the lettuce that is being put on the sandwiches. read more

Driving home from college, McDonald's is always the perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat. The staff was friendly beyond belief and they even gave me a free apple pie after they ran my food out to my car because they forgot one item! I am very impressed with their polite service and was happy to see each staff member with such a big smile on their face :) read more
