We also got tater tots, which were perfectly crispy and made a great side. The real treat was the chocolate peanut butter shake -- rich, creamy, and indulgent without being too heavy. It tasted like a dessert and drink all in one. Service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere had that fun, laid-back diner vibe that makes you want to hang out a little longer. If you're looking for good diner food with quick service and a great vibe, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Jumbo buns, tiny burgers…read more I feel bad for burger joints as they are getting squeezed by the meat packers for no good reason other than they can get away with raising prices as high as they want (and no amount of can-grade ground meat anonymously imported from who knows where is going to help...if anything that is more a reason not to buy burgers or ground beef unless you know the source) . Considering beef prices are not coming down anytime soon, if ever, I think Murf's need to address the situation better than just slapping a small, dry, overcooked burger on a huge bun. For example, drop the tiny Single and Double patty menu items (you're only going to disappoint diners) and go with a Jumbo and Junior burger instead. Get a smaller bun for the Junior and don't overcook the meat. Then double the patty size for the Jumbo (one big patty is less likely to get overcooked and more satisfying to bit into - think Oscar's). They also need to deliver quality and value where they can afford to do it. There is no reason that the fries are undercooked and under-seasoned. The condiments are mediocre, and the custard thin. We still cleaned out plates, but the table was unanimous that we will go elsewhere next time because so many other burger joints deliver higher quality and value overall.

Food: We got the Bacon Cheeseburger, Junior Cheeseburger, and a side combo of fries and onion rings. They make the burgers to order, so they took a while, but they were fresh and hot when they arrived. The patty was cooked to about medium, which was okay, but for a smashburger, it would have been better to leave it on the grill a bit longer to develop those nice crispy, lacy edges. The additional lettuce, tomato, and onion were generously portioned and fresh. Service: The staff was super friendly. The person who took our order was cheerful, helpful, and professional. Atmosphere: When first driving into the lot, what you notice is a very uncared-for, weedy front patio area. It's not very inviting, and nobody was sitting there. The parking lot pavement could use some refreshing as well. Overall, the exterior is a bit depressing. Inside, however, the restaurant is well lit, clean, and has a friendly atmosphere. You could tell there were lots of regulars catching up with friends and having pleasant conversations. Glad we stopped in.

We decided to order a quick burger and get a PBC sundae to have later at home…read more The burgers were so-so. Seems like less meat and condiments. The bun was not your normal burger bun. Fries were good! I'm assuming because the cost of everything is going up, size and quality will now be going down. The sundae was disappointing. Custard didn't taste like it used to, kinda flat. The toppings were too sweet. We used to love their food. One less place to stop for a quick, impromptu meal. I do understand they have changed ownership...

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich that was on special and went with fried onions on the sandwich at the suggestion of the counter attendant. Also ordered a chocolate malt. The sandwich was disappointing, very stingy on the amount of pork, and very little seasoning made for a tasteless bite. Various condiments were available at the counter and helped to add some flavor. It came with a small serving of Cole slaw, creamy style and very typical taste wise. The chocolate malt was very good, could actually taste the malt unlike other custard places offering a malted drink. The bill came to $14.48 including taxes. Maybe their burgers are better but not sure I would revisit this establishment again.

Don't forget to ask about the Sandwich of the Week. There is outdoor and indoor seating and plenty of parking. Their special flavors of the day for custard are always interesting and worth trying. The pricing is appropriate. I believe the entire location is ADA accessible which is nice for everyone to enjoy. I started eating so fast I forgot to take a picture of the food, but I got the wrappings! Oops, just shows how good the food was, and I didn't want to waste a moment to dive in!

Stopped here last night on a motorcycle ride cuz I'd heard nothing but good things about the place…read more I was SORELY disappointed! First, the place is cash only...had to find an ATM nearby before we could even order. We couldn't order at the counter ourselves, and had to wait for a one of the car hop girls to take our order. It was busy, so we expected to wait a bit. Ordered a cheeseburger with ketchup, brat, 2 orders of fries, a vanilla shake and a chocolate shake. Food shows up after 15 minutes, and the bill is just over $28. They forgot the brat, the burger was only as thick as the slice of unmelted cheese on it, and was drenched in ketchup...slid apart as soon as I picked it up. Fries were okay, shakes were pretty good. All said and done, nothing to get excited about. We'll probably never be back. Overpriced, not great food. Save your money and go someplace else.

My flurry was huuuuge--just how I like it. The deluxe sundaes were extremely large, and absolutely picture perfect. We stopped in about 20 minutes to close and they were happy to serve us still. (Given, we were only looking for custard and not a full meal.) The service was fast and friendly. They did turn the lights off about 10 minutes after close. The place itself is super cute. A nice refresh while still keeping the classic diner vibes. Love how obvious it is that this is family-run. The staff are long-standing, and were always greeted by the same friendly faces up front. After a 10min wait on a Sunday, we were seated in a booth with (also updated) menus. Seems a lot more condense, as previously there was almost too many options. But fear not, there's still plenty of goodness to pick from. For our kiddos we got a single order of the mickey mouse pancakes for them to share (more than enough). Comes with a big breakfast sausage too, and juice. We chose a side of fruit to add. I had the an egg white omelette with mushrooms and spinach. It came with English muffins, yay! Also added an order of turkey sausage on the side. And my husband? Could not stop raving about the breakfast burrito. Hard to impress this man when it comes to food, but he absolutely loved it. Must say though, it's a shock to walk away spending $75 (after tip) at a diner for three breakfasts. Here's to hoping these prices don't keep rising. I've yet to try any of their lunch-type items, so will add that to the bucket list.

A former NY housewife I believe said it was very mayo based, but I could be wrong. The chicken salad I received was lite mayo and had nice big chunks of chicken. Because there is so much pepper in the chicken salad it was inedible. There was so much pepper that we could not eat it and it ruined our taste to eat anything else. I know it advertises that there is pepper in the salad but that much? It is a good thing this wasn't given to a child. My advice is if you don't like overwhelming pepper that you can't taste the chicken, stay away from this sandwich!
