I got a sub and I was happy but it seem like the meat was old. This time the bread was great. I was disappointed in the service I got.

Employees wore masks but they had them below their noses. Might as well not have worn any.

I've ordered twice from them in the last two months and it takes OVER an hour to get a sandwich delivered on a weekday during lunch.

Yesterday morning I placed an order for 5 pounds of breaded haddock to be picked up at 6:00 pm. At 6:00 pm last night someone from Sausage Plus called me asking if I was Donna who placed an order for 5 pounds of breaded haddock to be picked up at 6:00 pm. I stated that yes, it was me. She proceeded to tell me that they do not have any breaded haddock left to fill my order. I told her that I called in the morning to place the order so I wasn't quite sure how they couldn't have any for me. That is the purpose of ordering ahead. She stated that they were very busy and ran out. Meanwhile, while I'm talking to her, my brother-in-law was in line to pick up the order. She stated that they could fill my order next week Friday. I told her I have people at my house now for dinner. She then transferred me to someone else. I believe she said she was transferring me to the general manager or manager. He came on the phone asking how he could help me. Did she not tell him why she called me?! So I told him what she told me. He basically said the same thing. They were very busy and ran out of the breaded haddock. He also mentioned that they could fill my order for next Friday. Then he suggested one of the other types of fish, at a much higher price. He also stated that they probably didn't have 5 pounds of any type of fish to sell me. I can't believe they would run a business like that. Offering fish for next week wasn't a solution. I had a group of people at my house for dinner last night. I don't know that I could trust ordering ahead from them again. What is the point of ordering ahead if they didn't put enough aside for my order?

Their sale prices are in line with sales at other stores, but "regular" prices are typically a little higher than what you find at Pick or Piggly Wiggly. That said, the quality of their steaks, deli, and produce is much better than Pick. I do wish their meat department would offer the option of vacuum sealing their steaks when they go on sale (love their NY Strip)...some butcher shops offer this, but I guess I understand why they don't. Anyway, if you're new to the area, or just don't frequent Sendik's because of the higher grocery prices, at least give their meat department and produce a try. Oh, and their store brand Sendik's tortilla chips, frozen 4-packs of chicken cordon blue, as well as their natural honey roasted peanut butter are all delicious, and I often make a special run to the store just for these items. Employees typically seem friendly and willing to help, and checkout lines are usually very short. My one complaint would be slightly wider checkout aisles. Most people enter the checkout aisle ahead of their cart to place items on the conveyer. Then, slide around the side of your car to get behind it and push it to the bagger. This is impossible to do as the checkout aisle is barely as wide as the cart itself.

First bite was horrible and chewy but being the masochist that I am, and no believing how horrible it was I tried a smaller second bite. Horrible. I spit it back into the container, it bounced back and hit me in the eye. I do not recommend if you ain't figured it out.

Their cheese case has all the regulars but their sandwich board really shines. Not often do you find a braunschweiger sandwich but here you do. I loved it. Reminds me of eating these with my grandfather so many years ago. Old school. No frills. Great price point. Don't forget to try their potato salad-seriously addicting.

I was heading down Hwy P yesterday and saw they were open, so I pulled over quick and stopped in. In addition to some Cajun cheese curds, sliced cheese, and frozen brats, I ordered a build your own sandwich consisting of a hard roll, turkey, roast beef, muenster cheese, lettuce, and butter. The sandwich was very good. I appreciate that you can build your own in addition to the 12 predefined sandwiches they sell. Muenster is my favorite cheese and butter is far less common to find as a condiment than mayo is at sub/sandwich shops, so I was glad to see both of those were options. I feel like I got a fair amount of turkey and roast beef too. The Sweet Summertime (butter, summer sausage, Colby, and lettuce on wheat bread) sounds awesome, so I'll try that next time. The store isn't super huge, but they manage to have a large selection of cheese to choose from as well as some dry goods and a refrigerator with cheese curds, string cheese, and summer sausage. They do have some sliced meat for sale, but most of the main display case is cheese. A single standing freezer contains a nice selection of locally made brats. Prices are a little higher than what you might find at a big chain grocery store, but the quality is just as good if not better.

Impressive ground level parking easily accessible for handicapped customers. The inside of this shop was impressively clean and well maintained. The ordering process was organized and fair producing a fluent service line for those placing orders. The staff in this shop was observed non-stop during our visit. (Since this review is being done at the request of another previous customer a few weeks ago) The staff during our visit from start to finish was observed as very professional, polite, clean, helpful, efficient and knowledgeable in their jobs. All customers before us and after us were served just as professionally as we were. The atmosphere of this shop was peaceful and uplifting. The food: Absolutely delicious. What's more, is the fact that eating in a sub shop is a far healthier choice than eating greasy or fried foods from other types of fast food places. This shop helped accomplish that. All four of us were extremely happy and very pleased with our visit. A highly recommended place to eat. We will certainly be back. Absolutely fantastic! Keep up the great work. Incessant Research.
