At 6:00 pm last night someone from Sausage Plus called me asking if I was Donna who placed an order for 5 pounds of breaded haddock to be picked up at 6:00 pm. I stated that yes, it was me. She proceeded to tell me that they do not have any breaded haddock left to fill my order. I told her that I called in the morning to place the order so I wasn't quite sure how they couldn't have any for me. That is the purpose of ordering ahead. She stated that they were very busy and ran out. Meanwhile, while I'm talking to her, my brother-in-law was in line to pick up the order. She stated that they could fill my order next week Friday. I told her I have people at my house now for dinner. She then transferred me to someone else. I believe she said she was transferring me to the general manager or manager. He came on the phone asking how he could help me. Did she not tell him why she called me?! So I told him what she told me. He basically said the same thing. They were very busy and ran out of the breaded haddock. He also mentioned that they could fill my order for next Friday. Then he suggested one of the other types of fish, at a much higher price. He also stated that they probably didn't have 5 pounds of any type of fish to sell me. I can't believe they would run a business like that. Offering fish for next week wasn't a solution. I had a group of people at my house for dinner last night. I don't know that I could trust ordering ahead from them again. What is the point of ordering ahead if they didn't put enough aside for my order?

The produce department is bigger than other stores with a better selection. The bakery is also top notch and I always leave with something sweet, I don't have a big sweet tooth and I will not eat any commercial sweets but I will eat a real baked slice of something from Sendik's. The deli is also not bad with a lot of boars head products and generally pricey compared with its competitors. The deli usually has a variety's heat and serve items to put together various meals. I stopped in to pick up a few items and, as usual, left with a few more than I had planned. They had a great selection of cakes in the bakery, so I couldn't resist bringing one home. I was also looking for pea pods in the produce department but couldn't find them. When I asked an employee for help, they didn't just point me in the right direction. They personally walked me to the exact spot. That's the kind of customer service that's becoming harder and harder to find. I'll definitely be back.

It's become a daily routine over the past couple of years to stop in after work and either bum around, or do my grocery shopping. I'm legit here every day. The night time employees know me well. What my issue is sounds dumb, but I'm representing a LOT of people when I say this, but this place needs to start enforcing the rule of camping out in front of the building for pokemon cards. I've talked to so many other collectors about this, and everyone is frustrated that Meijer tells everyone the earliest anyone can wait in line for cards is 5am. Sounds great, makes it fair for everyone. The issue is they don't enforce it. I've been trying to get my hands on 30th celebration products since they came out and it's impossible to get. So I decided to pull up to meijer at 5am on Friday last week so I could buy some. There were already 50 people in line. I still decided to wait, and I ended up getting nothing. Turns out they were parked there overnight and already started lining up at 1-2am. Unlike these scummy scalpers, I actually have a full time job, and I cannot wait in line that early. They're completely ignoring the rules. I was talking to one of the ladies that usually works nights and she told me to talk to the customer service desk because it's unfair, and they should be enforcing the rule. Fast forward a couple days, I come in before work to talk to customer service, and they tell me that they don't enforce it, they just tell people not to show up earlier than 5, but they don't actually care and won't do anything about it. Why tell people not to show up that early and just not actually enforce it? These people showing up that early aren't actually collectors, they're just scalpers that are buying the product and reselling it at triple the price since they broke the rules and beat everyone else to it. I know in the grand scheme of things, I am merely a little spec compared to their whole customer base, but I'm representing a whole lot of people. Meijer needs to do something about this. Treat your actual customers well. Either make a better system for buying Pokémon cards, or enforce the rule you guys have to combat scalpers. Create a number ticket system. Starting at 5, the people that got there after 5, give them a number, and go down the line until the end, and then once you get to the end of the line, then go back to the front and the people who broke the rules and got there before 5 gets the last numbers since they're entitled and think rules don't apply to them. Meijer, please do something about this. Don't advertise rules that you won't enforce. Treat your actual customers and regulars well. Don't reward scalpers for breaking the rules.

Not even an apology for wasting my time and THEIR mistake, just a handoff and asked for the wrong sandwich back so they could toss it in the trash, apparently so I could see it? Can't even guess at the hundreds and thousands I have spent at this location, but it didn't matter. It does now, because I have choices and it will be a different sandwich shop. This was a BIG missed opportunity to show good service to a loyal customer and you failed. Lastly, since there were apparently 2 managers (was told that over the phone when called to tell them about the wrong order) at this location. The veggies- fresh, but underripe, and there weren't many of them. Still, overall a decent sub. I also got cheese curds because I hadn't had them yet while in Wisconsin (there goes healthy...) They were okay. To drink, I had Sprecher's root beer. Yes, on tap at a fast food place. I'd stop back just for that.
