George Webb's is a nostalgic Milwaukee area burger chain famous for predicting the local MLB team,…read morethe Brewers, will win 12 straight games. The few times the team has, they gave away tens of thousands of free burgers to the community to celebrate. Truth be told, I love their greasy spoon burgers. I get a double cheese with fried onions, and it tastes the same as it did when I was a kid. The atmosphere is like you're in an episode of "Alice," and the breakfasts are old school. good. Everything is fried in butter and is delicious and artery clogging. This specific Oconomowoc location struggles to be consistently staffed, but when it's open, the staff is friendly and helpful. The entire chain is no frills, but I've gone to many George Webb's locations throughout my life and they're consistently, and wonderfully divey.

It was a great evening we were in a really good mood. The young man behind the counter did not like that. Mind you the restaurant was not busy at all a lot of their young staff were just standing around. We arrived at 9:30 just for some ice cream to top off the evening before driving back to Madison. When the ice cream came out it was melted. Dripping down the cone as if it had sat for quite while or something else had been done to it. I went up to the counter and the kid at the counter had a smirk on his face. I told him the cone was unacceptable and I wanted my money back A young man came out opened the register gave me my money back and apologized. He looked seriously afraid of what I was going to do. I told him the service and the product were unacceptable, the young man needed to be talked to and they needed some training. Customer service training. I must say Culver's has been on of my go to spots as of late but this the second time in a town outside of Madison I have had really bad service. I already know a Culver's manager of some type will come in here and tell me to go to Culvers.com. If I have anymore information to provide. These places are independently owned. Culver's oconomowoc do better. I also said to the young manager, you never know who is walking in your establishment. Not everyone will be as calm and willing to explain why good customer service to everyone who walks in your door is so important for a business.

First, the place is cash only...had to find an ATM nearby before we could even order. We couldn't order at the counter ourselves, and had to wait for a one of the car hop girls to take our order. It was busy, so we expected to wait a bit. Ordered a cheeseburger with ketchup, brat, 2 orders of fries, a vanilla shake and a chocolate shake. Food shows up after 15 minutes, and the bill is just over $28. They forgot the brat, the burger was only as thick as the slice of unmelted cheese on it, and was drenched in ketchup...slid apart as soon as I picked it up. Fries were okay, shakes were pretty good. All said and done, nothing to get excited about. We'll probably never be back. Overpriced, not great food. Save your money and go someplace else.

My flurry was huuuuge--just how I like it. The deluxe sundaes were extremely large, and absolutely picture perfect. We stopped in about 20 minutes to close and they were happy to serve us still. (Given, we were only looking for custard and not a full meal.) The service was fast and friendly. They did turn the lights off about 10 minutes after close. The place itself is super cute. The menu seems pretty varied. I can't wait to go back!

But last night I was sitting at the speaker of the drive-through for 10 minutes. I understand as to why the employee manning the station could've not been there, maybe a break, maybe using the restroom, but quite frankly, I felt pretty disappointed because all I was there for was two drinks and fries. When I was assisted, this employee was nice and after pulling up to the window, I did get my drinks. Unfortunately, the fries took a little bit longer and werent the hottest when I received them. The only thing I have to know about my experience is that I wish I was helped sooner and received my food quicker, especially cause I put in the order in advance.

We've been to Crafty Cow several times over the last year, probably four or five times, and we've always been impressed by how friendly the waitstaff and bar staff are. The owner is also very nice and clearly involved, which I think is cool. I almost always order the same thing: the chicken strip meal, which comes with three huge strips and a large side of fries. The chicken here is really interesting because it's marinated in pickle brine. You can definitely taste the brine, and it adds something you didn't even realize was missing. My wife used to order the same thing, but now she tries something different each time because she knows she can share my strips. Everything she has tried has been good. Also worth mentioning: they have really good ranch dressing. I was surprised when I looked up Crafty Cow on Yelp and saw that it had less than four stars. Looking at some of the older reviews, I'm guessing it may have had a bit of a rocky start. But based on our experiences, Crafty Cow has been consistently great, and we'll definitely keep coming back.
