This location has been open since before 1986. I've been here countless times in the past. I haven't been inside for a couple years. Today, I went in. Scary at best. The whole place is filthy. This place could've been much better as I entered. The customer service seemed all right, but once I placed my order, their kiosk did not work. It's highly disappointing. Then when I got my order reluctantly, they forgot to give me a cup most McDonald's have cups in front of counter where you order those were behind no one was at the counter for me to ask, so I took matters in my own own hands. Took 30 minutes for them to prepare my mobile order of 2 items. Every time I tried asking a worker about it they ignored me or rudely said we're working on it. A couple workers were just pacing around looking confused and not really accomplishing anything. Never go inside at this location. If i could give it zero, I would. First, my online order only purchased two items and used my coupon. Not their fault at all, but they didn't want to handle it in an appropriate way. Second, I order a second order with the rest of the items, and it took forever. Then again, it was Thanksgiving night. I got home, and opened my chicken sandwich and there was mold on the bun. The chicken nuggets tasted awful, and the fries were cold and soggy. Also, I drove all the way back, and they refused to refund the whole order, even after the mold and the drive all the way back out. They did refund the sandwich but come on. Every time I come here I regret it. I miss the days when I used to marvel at how friendly and fast this location was. Today was a simple McFlurry after a long trip. I had to pull forward. Then it was delivered with lid off and melted ice cream running down the sides and syrup all over the lid. I asked for it to be cleaned up. They came back minutes later with little improvement so I accepted it as I wanted to get going. No surprise that there were no toppings in the McFlurry. We ordered curbside pickup and waited 20 minutes before actually going inside to get our food. When my girlfriend finally got waited on, she said she ordered on the app. After a minute or so, the girl said she was waiting on the steak. Another girl then replied it was already made. They definitely have a problem with communication and organization at this place. And to think people at McDonalds think they deserve $15/Hr.. I received the wrong food after waiting 20 mins from the ordering to the window, tonight. My daughter couldn't eat it and it needed to be thrown out. I tried calling a few times but they didn't answer. When I did get through Annestt T. didn't apologize for the restaurant's mistake until I pointed out her lack of management and customer service skills. She offered to replace the meal but nothing else in a very flippant manner. She then became belligerent and rude. Went through drive through at 8:45 on a Sunday night. Ordered a medium Diet Coke. 2 cars in front of us - 10 minutes before we even got to the window to pay. We assumed they were short-staffed and had maybe one person taking orders, on the cash register, and preparing the orders. Not so. When we pulled up there were four - FOUR - staff standing around and doing nothing but talking to each other. We were ignored, although the soda had been filled and was right in the window ready to go. We waved to get their attention and then tapped the horn with no result. Then we full out honked. They looked at us and went back to their conversation. We left. 15 minutes wasted. Wish I could give zero stars - that whole shift should be fired. read more

I am simply repeating many of the other reviews. The drive up lines are long, long and more than slow, even if there are just a few cars. Service inside is, also, slow. Even when there is plenty of help the service is inefficient. When you walk in the door you are hit with an unpleasant odor. So many times, I have come for a coke and walked out with nothing. This is because the drink machines are not working. The other day I brought my grandchildren in to use the play area. It was FILTHY! Shame on me...why should I have expected anything, else. I was just at the Oconomowoc McDonalds. I go everyday and order a Medium Vanilla Iced Coffee. Today I ordered the same and when I got to the window the girl handed me a coffee and I told her this was not a medium, she said yes it is, was so rude and walked away. The coffee was awful, maybe 2 pieces of ice in it. This happened about 8:20 a.m. Sat. Wow. You don't expect great food and service from McDonalds but you usually know exactly what you will get, and that's okay. I found one in Oconomowoc that totally misses. The soda machine does work right and when I mentioned to the manager on duty she told me "that's as good as it's going to get for a while" Since I already had my food, I stayed. I tried to connect to WiFi. Showed no service. I asked the order taker if their WiFi was out. She didn't know and asked the manager. The manager told her "I don't know". And that was the end of the conversation. 02/26/2017 Update: Perhaps you guys should hire people who can read. Once again they got my order wrong. Order a sausage egg and cheese mcgriddle and get a sausage mcgriddle. The ineptitude of your staff is astounding. I won't be coming to this McDonald's ever again. Apparently getting what I ordered/PAID FOR is asking too much. This McD's is one of the worst I've ever experienced. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to hire almost all teenagers to staff the place; but they should lose their job. The food, no matter what time of day I stop by, is warm at best and ALWAYS has too much salt thrown on it. 75% of the kids who work their are, not rude, but not exactly polite either. I generally find this McDonald's to be quick and the food freshly made in the morning when they are fully staffed. My biggest gripe is with the drive through. It has two lanes from which one may order but they've made it relatively easy for people to cheat as it should be one lane ( which is clearly labeled ) that breaks into two lanes a couple of cars before the speaker. I find that every time that I'm there I constantly see people sneaking around those of us that are waiting to break into two lanes to skip those of us that are waiting. This is typical of Oconomowoc drivers in general as a rule anyways as I'm constantly being cut off by someone pulling in front of me with no one behind me but that is another matter. I'm considering starting a website to videotape those who skip the line. Their really has to be cones put up or a barrier so people cannot do this. I understand if the line goes all the way to the street but only in that case. Another huge problem with the drive thru is those who place orders for a family of six or more. Those inconsiderate people need to go inside. 20 dollar maximum no exceptions. read more
