They could definitely improve on, making sure that you get what you order, every time I order a caramel coffee or ice cream or anything they'll forget the caramel or the stuff that's added to the drink and then when you bring it up, they'll make you try to pay extra just to fix it. They also will tell you to hold on a lot and when they do, your McDonald's code expires so then you're not able to get the points or use them. In for some reason, they act like they pay for the sauces their selves. Because even though you're able to get two of them. They'll try to make you pay extra every single time. The service is fast but more than often messed up orders and the employees don't listen at all. A lot of times they're on the phone or just not listening. If I was the manager there, I could turn that place around and make that place a five star fast food franchise. I read reviews prior to doing this review. Looks like I am not alone when I say customer service is TERRIBLE. There are two drive-thru lines, but almost every-time I have been to this location, there is only one employee working the drive-thru. After waiting a few minutes for the car in the other lane giving their order, I was able to give mine in my lane. I could barely understand the employee as he mumbled every word spoken. I said "large coke" and he said "three sprites?". After giving my order, he mumbled my total. So I continued in line and pulled up to the first window. There was no employee there so I assumed this location was accepting payments at the second window only. This is common for many fast food establishments including McDonald's so it was not unusual to me. I opened the McDonald's app on my phone so it could be scanned and I gain points for my purchase towards free food. As the younger male employee opened the window, he smirked as I held out my phone. He then said "next time, you pay at the first window". I replied, "there was no one at the window". He then denied to scan my phone and took my card and disappeared for a minute before coming back to give my card back. This was totally unacceptable and unprofessional. How is it my fault that your store is unorganized and possibly short staffed? Do not blame employees for your lack of an effective work environment. read more

It took three tries to get to this McDonald's but I did it in the end. No U-turns at the Halfway/Massey intersection, you have to drive through and into the mall to make the u-turn. Annoying! Stay away! We ordered through the mobile app, as I find that it cuts down on mistakes when we customize an order. Ha! Then we pulled in to a curbside delivery spot as the drive thru line was long. Haha! Then we waited for our dependable tasty foods. Hahahahaha! We sat and waited while one car after another sped through the drive through. Ah well, our own bad judgement for asking to skip the line. Then our order arrived, as wrong as it could be. I received iced tea instead of iced coffee. A sandwich had shredded lettuce instead of the leaf lettuce I'd requested. The fries had no salt. Time for a trip inside. At the counter I found unhappy people waiting for their orders while the drive through was clipping along at a good pace. I flagged someone down and explained my issues. I hadn't been presented with a receipt, but had the order on my phone. The person helping me apologized and said that it must have been different on their screen. Riiiiight. Sure. I believe you...please just make me an iced coffee. Back to the car with the coffee and sandwich. This was when I discovered that the unsalted fries were the best tasting things in the car. One bite of the quarter pounder and it was in the trash- including the bite. I managed two mouthfuls of my coffee before I was hit with the taste of chemicals. It was as though the machine had been cleaned but not rinsed. I hate writing one star reviews. They make me grumpy because I assume that everyone actually wants to do their best. This place is by far the worst McDonald's I have ever been to the woman at the counter was ill mannered didn't smile and coped an attitude when we asked her to take something off our order they were out of apple pies and they said they were going to put them in 5 minutes later they had just put them in the oven to bake and it was going to be another 6 minutes. STAY AWAY FROM THE HORRIBLE PLACE! This was the worst McDonald's I've ever been to! I went with six of my friends and their parents. We ordered food and waited and waited and waited! I was standing there with three of them and they guy said some number, I said "Me!" And he told me "This is not yours, it's someone before you." He walked away yelling the number and then put it on the counter. My friend grabbed it because I didn't want to get yelled at. She checked and said it was mine. So I got my food and went to the table, it was a hamburger and had no fries. I went back and got both. Then they gave us two McFlurry's and we told him it wasn't ours he told us it was one of us and left. Then he gave us a tray of food, minutes later we realized it wasn't any of ours. We told him about the McFlurry's and he told us "Eat it or throw it away". We ate them and didn't know what to do. We later heard a guy say him and his family didn't get their food. Of the thousands of McDonald's I have eaten at in my life, I think this one has the distinction of being the worst. The bathroom looked like a homeless person lived there. The cashier could not have screwed up our order more if she tried. We were overcharged $8. Then, the guys in the back didn't even put the correct things into the sack. Ladies restroom only has two stalls, one without a lock, and the other with no toilet paper. I politely told a female associate that there was no toilet paper in the stall and she got mad and pushed the door open as hard as she could. After inspecting the seat, which had feces smeared on it, I decided not to use the bathroom. When ordering my meal, which was your average fast food breakfast meal, I spoke to management about the condition of the restroom and he laughed. I would rather give this place "0" stars! I only use the drive thru service when I have to and that's just to get a drink. I try not to eat the food but yesterday, my family had worked all day in the heat. We were tired and hungry. I said. "Let's just run to McDonald's and grab a quick meal and be done with it." We already had misgivings about this place. We have had several encounters of the worst kind. Once we were there right before closing. We were given our food and sat down to eat eat. Then ALL of the crew, including management, walked outside for a smoke break. We were in the store BY OURSELVES. I got up and checked and everyone was outside! So on Saturday evening, July 16 at 8:00 PM we ventured over to the McDonalds on Massey Blvd. We stood at the counter for over 2 minutes. No one looked at us. No one said they would be right there. NO ONE DID ANYTHING! And mgmt was on front line, by the bin. Finally, the mgr took our order. That was real pleasant...NOT! By then 2 customers were behind us. He continued taking their orders. He gave them their cups for drinks. I had to ask for our cups. Those customers behind us got their orders before we did. We didn't order any grill orders. All were straight from the menu board. We got the #8, #10 and a double cheeseburger, small fries, and med drink. NOTHING was remotely fresh. My husband's filet patty looked like it had been in the warmer for hours. It was flat and dry. My nuggets were old. The coating was so too crunchy like they had baked in the warmer. And our fries? Some of them seemed like they had been re-dipped in the vat. We were so disgusted with our meal. My husband looked at me and said, "I'm NEVER coming here again!" Both of us have worked at McDonalds. We're very aware of McD's staunch values and standards. I managed McD's within the past 5 years here in Hagerstown. I've called their local office (Stan) and nothing is resolved. I've emailed corporate office. This McDonalds is just unfit! And if you're going to have televisions on, at least have the captions available so we can read what's going on in the picture. Oh and by the way, all of the grids were removed from the drink station as if they were getting ready to close. It was only 8:00 PM. It was a mess and their was a lobby person on duty. read more
