Ordered through the drive thru 2 kids Happy Meals, requested neither cheeseburger to have catchup nor pickles, guess what, both had catchup and pickles ! Sliced apples we're supposed to b3 included with the meals, guess what again, no apple slices! Needless to say the only thing they got correct was the chocolate milk and fries and that's all the grandchildren ate! It's truly a shame! read more

Clean and friendly service...yeah, surprising for a chain fast food place, right? I've been here several times for breakfast (sit in and drive thru) and must say they have been consistent with their service. There's always some breakfast deal at this location. Some deals are advertised on their windows but some others are made known when you ask. The place is clean but their equipment and tables are outdated. It's unfortunate that these upgrades are only at certain McDonalds location. The sweet tea machine is behind the cashiers counter so for refills, you do have to walk up to them. They do have wifi that is very quick on speed but I wish I can say the same about their speed of service! I don't know is it because they are back staffed or because it's busy. This location tends to be busy at times. They are located near by the Menlo Park Mall and is right off route 1. I do noticed that the drive thru line does move quicker than in store. It seems like as if the drive thru service is being timed and the staff is quickly putting the orders together for them. read more

Typical McDonald's setup with a drive thru right off a major highway. Its located near the Menlo Park Mall off of route 1. The restaurant is outdated comparing to other locations I've been to. I usually order the Big Mac combo and have eaten inside a couple times. It was not that slow waiting for the food. I been to the drive thru once and they seem to be on point with the waiting times. Other than that I go here because its the nearest McDonald's to my house. read more

They say New Jersey is the most expensive state to live in giving taxes, auto insurance costs, income tax, property taxes etc, but they left of an important part of why New Jersey is so expensive. Corporate greed I recently visited a McDonald's on Route one right near the menlo Park Mall prior to that I visited a McDonald's on Route 22, that had just been completely remodeled, I am sure at considerable expense. The Route 22 McDonald's charged $8.37 including tax for 2 double hamburgers, a large fry and a large drink. The hamburgers were ordered with no pickle, no mustard and extra ketchup and onions Not sliced onions just the regular diced/pulverized onions on every McDonald's hamburger. Nice job Route 22 McDonald's The McDonald's at Route 1 south in Edison, right by the Menlo Park Mall was a totally different situation. The exact same order as was received at the Route 22 McDonald's. Big exception the price was over $1.50 more for the same thing at the Route 1 south location in Edison. A $1.50 isn't going to break me, but there are tons of people out there with kids, living at poverty levels and a trip to McDonald's is a big treat. I inquired why the difference. I was told that they took the double hamburger off the POS(Point of Sale) machine and only can ring up a McDouble which is a double cheeseburger, not what I ordered. They then charge and increased fee for the McDouble because it has cheese on it. However, they had to remake mine because when you order they don't tell you they only sell Double Cheeseburgers, so when I ordered a double hamburger it ad cheese on it. To make matters worse besides charging for something you didn't get, they then removed the cheese, (no credit for that) and the pickle(no credit for that) and charged me and extra dollar on both NOW Double Hamburgers for the 1/8 teaspoon combined of onions. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Obviously not since, I was then told they were told to upcharge for any item that was extra minimum $1.00 So they charge you for not even an 1/8th of a teaspoon full of water downed diced onions, they remove the cheese they charged you for again; I note no credit, for the removed pickle as well but they up-charged for ketchup and onions on the double Cheeseburger (McDouble) you received, even though you ordered a double hamburger. In reading the other reviews I can understand why they have such a low rating. I am sure a lot of those complaints are prompted by the rip off of customers for silly things like extra onions and ketchup. When people have to pay more for the same item they can buy down the street or around the corner they find fault with everything. I only used the drive thru, but he speaker was terrible; I couldn't hear the very nice young lady clearly or I would have canceled the order if she told me about the additional charges ahead of time. She was pleasant and I couldn't fault her because she was told to overcharge people. The food was hot when I received it because they had to make it special, so aside from the ridiculous extra charges, it was food from a typical McDonald's franchise. The French Fries were hot and fresh so no fault there. All in all I will never step into or drive thru that restaurant again. I will be blogging about it and hope to be an influencer to direct the public to a cheaper McDonald's they are out there and close by.This type of corporate greed is just the kind of thing that doesn't help the cost of living in New Jersey. This has got to be the worst McDonalds I've ever been to. It gets 2 stars because the food is fine. It's the customer service. The 2 gentlemen on drive through have to be the rudest people I've ever come in contact with. The guy at the pickup window has been there a while and anytime I come by he is practically snarling, and glares at me so hard I've literally wondered if I smacked his mama or done something equally as egregious for him to hate me so much. Mind, I'm not a special order kind of person, I order off the menu, no special requests, no reason for this dude to hate me so much but yet... Favorite McDonalds in he area. Service is always quick and friendly. Unlike other McDonalds in the area (route 27 in Edison location) their ice cream machine is NEVER "broken," and their cookies are NEVER hard. Yes, I have a sweet tooth, so these are menu favorites of mine. Lastly, what I like about this McDonalds is the food consistency. I am particular about how my coffee is prepared. if i could give this location negative stars i would. 90% of the staff is disrespectful as anything and ive never been there where they havent messed up my order. i get it, it's mcdonalds, were still pretty much in a pandemic, but ordering 1 cheese burger and adding big mac sauce to it i did not think that i would be almost in tears because of the unbearable spice on this sandwich. i love mac sauce, and i eat ketchup with almost everything, and ive gotten this exact order from multiple mcdonalds, and i know exactly what its supposed to taste like. the spice, as im writing this has still not gone away and its been nearly a half hour. mac sauce is nothing close to spicy, i believe its a thousand island dressing and ketchup???? the helpful one on the phone Rubi, said they had to mess something up with the spicy chicken sandwich BUT I DIDNT ORDER CHICKEN. im so beyond disappointed and honestly, in pain. again, fully understanding that times are hard right now, im not the one to come on here and send a message like this but after multiple disrespectful and mistaken experiences, 90% of these employees do not deserve their jobs. read more

I was in this location today at 10:52 AM getting breakfast for my coworkers and myself. The order was 5 bacon egg and cheese mcgriddles, a sausage egg and cheese mcgriddle, an egg mcgriddle, two sausage burritos and 4 hash browns. I received my order and hurried back to work. Once I got back there I noticed that they charged me for 6 bacon egg and cheese mcgriddles but only gave me 4. I called them 3 times. The first 2 times the phone rang with no answer. The last time I finally got someone. I explained the situation to them and the first thing they said to me was "are you sure?" Umm, yes I'm sure, I wouldn't have called for my own health. I told them I would come back during my break at 2:00. When I walked back in the woman at the register (who was the same woman who took my order earlier) immediately starts rolling her eyes. When I told her what happened she didn't say a word and just reprinted my receipt. I didn't know what they were going to do. I look at the food order monitor and see she just reordered the mcgriddles without telling me. I told her I didn't want them anymore. Like come on, who wants their food 3 hours after it was ordered? She then rolled her eyes at me again and said "well then I don't know what else to tell you" in an extremely nasty manner.
