This review is solely for a cocktail style collaboration event Shake Shack did at this location with Nina Compton. It was an amazing event with more than enough tasty bites, attentive and positive attitude staff, live music and light alcoholic beverages. The crawfish grilled cheese was interesting and pretty tasty with a little spicy kick. It was cool they had fresh oysters, but I thought it tasted just alright. I loved the hot fire chicken sandwich which had an amazing pickled mango relish. The drinks (or at least the Passion Fruit Shackmeister Shandy) were tasty and it was nice there were beignets and vanilla frozen custard for a little dessert. Great night with nice atmosphere and I appreciated the availability of all foods/drinks throughout the night.

The burgers are half the size as they are in California or Las Vegas. The cost is the same. Their service is normal like any other place. There was a lunch rush so we waited about 15 minutes for our food.

Outdoor seating is around to the right under the High Line.

I have been to this location five times now and not a single time has my order been accurate. Wrong flavor shake, no pickles on the burger, forgot my fries, the list goes on. The icing on the cake was the other night when I ordered a Vanilla and Oreo Cookie shake and, after 30 minutes, I still had not received my order. I approached the cashier and asked for my order and was told that they had forgotten it. The cashier then alerted the manager who went to the back, and checked the security video to confirm that I had, in fact, made and paid for my order. Upon her return, she said that she would be able to complete my order, but that "it'll take a while." I'd had it. I asked and received my refund and headed out. I know it's a new location but the staff is utterly incompetent. I wish you all the best when eating here, but I would strongly urge you to eat absolutely anywhere else.

That is the grumpy lady over there. They don't even have hand sanitizers.

Go somewhere. Service crew in this branch are super grumpy. Service is really bad. I gave 1 star for the food. Crew doesn't even deserve one.

Iconic small steamed bun sliders that melt in your mouth…read more Growing up in NJ, White Castle has always been a nostalgic burger spot for me. So when back in town I have to stop and grab some. Located on Kennedy Blvd this White Castle location has both inside seating and drive thru service. They even have a window inside to show you as the burgers are being created. Known for the small burgers with the steamed buns and the ketchup pickles and diced onions. I chose mine with cheese. But one bite and it took me back to my childhood. These soft and fluffy buns make the burgers almost melt in your mouth when you bite them. Reminiscent to a hot off the oven Krispy Kreme doughnut these White Castle burgers are addictive. So ordering one is never an option. Had to grab the combo which came with 4 burgers, fries and a soda. Fries were solid but the star here are always the burgers or sliders (however you want to describe them). They are delicious and if you've never tried White Castle you are missing out. Don't hesitate and give them a try. I may or may not be stopping by on my way home to grab a box of them burgers to take back with me.

Last time we stop in for the burgers which are still classic in aroma and flavor. The fries and onion rings are on the mark. I am so glad the clam strips are back as I also enjoy a bag of clammy goodness. Be sure to ask for the tartar sauce. My mistake for forgetting. One of the better White Castles and the lady manager behind the counter remembers us and takes good care of us. Try White Castle breakfast. IT'S GOOD!

I'm always searching for an excellent place for pizza delivery. Tom's has great reviews all around,…read moreso I was excited to give it a try. I ordered simply - a large pepperoni pizza. It was delivered fairly quickly on bike and arrived in good condition. The pizza itself was very average. Average crust, average flavor, and A LOT of average pepperoni that appeared to be mostly uncooked (it almost seemed like they put the pepperoni on after the pizza came out of the oven?) Tom's seems a reliable neighborhood pizza spot, but not a destination.

And this is none other than "Tom's Delicious Pizza". Located directly on Summit Ave (and tucked in between 17th St/18th St) in the heart of Union City, NJ, this small pizza business has been dishing out mouth watering pizza (by the whole pie or the slice) dating back to 1998 (according to their website). Best of all, they have very generous hours of operation being open Monday-Saturday from 11am-10pm and Sunday from 12-10pm. I came here during the evening of Monday 10/13/2025 at around 6pm. Since it was a cool, windy autumn day, I wanted to find something in close proximity to my Airbnb. This part of Union City is fairly easy to get to (foot, car, transit, etc.) and doesn't get too busy. However, the inside is very small with only a few seats to enjoy your pizza. Their menu is quite extensive for being such a small place. They carry traditional and unique pizzas (in various sizes) as well as wings, fries, tenders, mozzarella sticks, hot dogs, burgers, pasta, and even seafood! However, my lady and I were just craving a piping hot pizza (by the slice) and this place absolutely satisfied our cravings! The guys that worked behind the counter were great as I ordered a slice of their "Chicken & Bacon" while my lady went with a slice of "Pepperoni". Prices here are very reasonable as my slice was only $4 while hers was $3. Once our slices were ready, we proceed to sit down, add our mozzarella & Italian seasoning, and were ready to indulge. I have got to say that this place is legit amazing. Some people say that this best pizza is in NYC but New Jersey is also up there at the top. The slices here are a traditional thin while they did not skimp on the toppings. And the crust had that amazingly consistent texture; buttery, crispy, and absolutely heavenly. All in all, "Tom's Delicious Pizza" is not only delish but the service, prices, portion, selection, and nostalgia of this place made it feel as if I was in an old school neighborhood pizza parlor. And if you just happen to be in Union City, NJ (which is roughly a 15-minute drive to NYC), definitely give them a try. With that said and done, I am giving this small business a perfect five-star rating.

Fries were cooked fresh (if you know old oil fried then you'll know what I mean by these were fried FRESH) and it didn't have an overly greasy or soggy taste at all - they were perfectly crispy and tasty. Cajun fries delivered the spice with a side of cheese, it hit all the cravings. The monster fries were tasty too. Also ordered the organic fruit punch refresher (5/5) definitely refreshing and tastes organic - not overly sweet which I loved. Service was friendly and quick. Ambience was chill with about 7 tables depending on your party size you could put smaller tables together by the booth seating (if needed and available). I won't leave a long review, but I'm gonna share a few thoughts from my frequent visits: The food is fantastic. I honestly prefer Marty's to its closest major chain comparison, Shake Shake. It's all so delicious and picture perfect every time; a feast for the belly and the eyes. Recently, a new competitor showed up in town (Smash and Zingers). I gave them a fair chance, ordering twice and trying different items, but I wasn't very impressed. My latest order with them sealed the deal that I will be going back to Marty's as my main local burger spot. My only gripe is that the fries can be a bit soggier than I like. Was hoping they'd fix that over time, but it's yet to be addressed.
