I visited this location on a Friday afternoon. It is very clean and modern. It's also right underneath the High Line. I placed my order at the kiosk and my order was brought to the counter. I ordered the Veggie Shack Burger, Cheese Fries and Lemonade. This was my first time trying the Veggie Shack Burger and it was good. Shake Shack doesn't disappoint. I love their Cheese Fries. I'll surely visit this location again the next time I'm in the Meatpacking District. read more

Right by the High Line, directly underneath the bridge to be exact. Very friendly and helpful staff members. You can pay with cash at the counter and/or credit/debit card at the kiosk machines for your food. There's a self-serve water fountain with paper cups so you can quench your thirst. Assorted condiments of ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise are right next to the water. Plenty of paper napkins available. Decent size for the space but definitely more spacious than other locations I've been to in the city. Ambiance wise is like your standard Shake Shack anywhere else. There's a code on your receipt for the restroom. Ordered the Korean BBQ Cheese Fries ($6) and Double Pattie Korean BBQ Burger ($12.19). Crinkle Cut Fries are tasty but the Korean BBQ Powder isn't spicy at all. Just gives it flavor but that's about it. The combo of crispy onions and the Korean BBQ Sauce between the buns is just way too salty for my palette. Feels like it's pretty similar to scooping up salt and dumping it down my throat. Either just the sauce or only the crispy onions, I don't suggest adding both ingredients together because it makes it extra salty to me. The buns get really soggy very fast from the Korean BBQ Sauce. Nonetheless, it's fulfilling in my stomach. But, I think maybe I'll just order the sauce and fried onions on the side next time. read more

Absolute perfection. Time your visit right (Sunday at noon), waltz right in, place your order at one of the kiosks and, shortly, hamburger heaven will be yours. I adore Shake Shack, in general, and there is nothing not to like about this one, specifically. Perfect burger, perfect crispy, salty fries, perfect black and white shake. This Shake Shack could have a lot of potential to be a great location. The floor to ceiling glass walls underneath the High Line gives it a modern touch next to the other brick buildings. They rely on 4 self-service kiosks, one of them was broken during the time I was there. After placing your order in and giving yourself a random number, I waited a good 15 minutes for one burger to be ready, even though it didn't look like a lot of people ordered. They were for sure understaffed, which is crazy as I've seen kitchens with 10-15 staff members in the kitchen working. Tables are not really kept clean, due to them being understaffed. Lemonade is half ice--very annoying. Critique for shake shack generally is that it would be nice to be able to order lemonades with no ice at all like they allow for drinks with iced tea--I get that lemonade costs more but they charge plenty and more for lemonade so they don't need to be so cheap. read more

Food is okay. This location is not accessible, emailed corporate and they did not care to make a change. While waiting for my food a woman in a wheelchair was trying to leave the establishment, she went around to both doors to try to get out. Once I realized I helped the woman by opening the door for her so she could leave. This establishment does not have an accessible exit doors. If you need help, the employees will not help you and you have to rely on the kindness of strangers. There is no button for automatic doors. Will not be returning to a shake shack establishment especially after their email did not address the problem. Unacceptable. read more

This review is solely for a cocktail style collaboration event Shake Shack did at this location with Nina Compton. It was an amazing event with more than enough tasty bites, attentive and positive attitude staff, live music and light alcoholic beverages. The crawfish grilled cheese was interesting and pretty tasty with a little spicy kick. It was cool they had fresh oysters, but I thought it tasted just alright. I loved the hot fire chicken sandwich which had an amazing pickled mango relish. The drinks (or at least the Passion Fruit Shackmeister Shandy) were tasty and it was nice there were beignets and vanilla frozen custard for a little dessert. Great night with nice atmosphere and I appreciated the availability of all foods/drinks throughout the night. read more

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews here. Came on a Tuesday evening and there was no wait. There were multiple kiosks to order from or you can buy at the counter. The kiosks when I went worked and I didn't have any issues. Only had to wait for 5-10 minutes for the food, interior was clean and had a good number of free tables. The food was fine, burger had a nice crisp caramelized edge, veg were fresh. Decent food and good service. read more

I have been to this location five times now and not a single time has my order been accurate. Wrong flavor shake, no pickles on the burger, forgot my fries, the list goes on. The icing on the cake was the other night when I ordered a Vanilla and Oreo Cookie shake and, after 30 minutes, I still had not received my order. I approached the cashier and asked for my order and was told that they had forgotten it. The cashier then alerted the manager who went to the back, and checked the security video to confirm that I had, in fact, made and paid for my order. Upon her return, she said that she would be able to complete my order, but that "it'll take a while." I'd had it. I asked and received my refund and headed out. I know it's a new location but the staff is utterly incompetent. I wish you all the best when eating here, but I would strongly urge you to eat absolutely anywhere else. read more

Great food! First time at a shake shack in NYC and everything thing was super clean! There is a really nice guy greeting everyone entering the restaurant, asking if everything is alright and making sure that everything is clean. Super friendly!!!
