I really wanted to like this place because we have eaten here previously and our experience was…read moregood. Our recent visit left us so disappointed that we won't return. My friend and I each ordered an appetizer and sandwiches. There was no one else in the dining room for a weekend lunch service, which should have been a clue. My friend's appetizer of kettle chips arrived after a long wait and they were overcooked/burnt in a few places. $11.95 for 36 burnt kettle (aka potato) chips with 2 dipping sauces. My appetizer of carne asada fries was a letdown. Both the fries and meat were overcooked and chewy. I've had carne asada fries before and these were not good. Maybe this is how they cook them? Friend had a turkey BLT panini, $12ish and the turkey meat was equivalent to a thin slice of meat you get in the Oscar Meyer pack. My chicken sandwich was the best thing we ordered, but the fries were cold and overcooked. I only ended up eating a few bites of the sandwich. The employees never stopped by to check in with us or anything. Total with 2 cans of soda plus tip was over $60. We won't be back. You can get better food and service for less at Chili's, Applebees or Wings and Rings. Hopefully this business can do better for future customers.

The tater tots were not hot and not tasty, not like when we were there two two years ago. The burger wasn't even hot enough to melt the cheese. The water was pink. Evidently the punch up above the water was leaking into the water. That needs fixing. They used to have hot, fresh, crinkle fries, but not now. They also gave you a generous quantity of tater tots, but that's gone down too. The white door in the seating area has black greasy large marks all over it, and it needs a fresh coat of paint or at least a good cleaning. The employees are nice and the dining area is relatively clean and has lots of windows. We probably won't come back.

Ate here for the first time ever. Ok, I really want this…read moreplace to be successful. I love family run businesses especially restaurants. So this is my honest opinion hoping you don't get offended. The fries are horrible. Honestly, worst fries I've ever had in my life. They were hot and soggy. No snap or crips whatsoever. To make matters worse, they were served smashed onto the chicken. The fries need a complete overhaul and if folks are telling you they are amazing, they are lying to you. This smashing down these soggy fries into your chicken is the worst possible way to serve them. Onto the chicken, I know you say you have your own special seasoning in the flour. I tasted nothing but flour, lots & lots of salt, & water. You really need to add more seasoning to this batter and bring more flavors into this chicken. I would also recommend having a beef talo options as I feel this would greatly improve on your chicken. I would also recommend yall stop using the "ready in 30 minutes" line. It seems everyone is having this issue including myself. Was told 30 minutes and waited for 55. Again, want to see this place succeed and grow, but the hype I read on line does not even come close to the reality of the food here.

The dining room is comfortable and spacious. The menu remains as hot as it was before. My favorite is the La Intensa: a generous beef patty covered in Asadero cheese, chilaka peppers (similar to the New Mexico or Anaheim peppers), bacon, grilled onions, fresh avocado, lettuce, tomato, and condiments. Their burgers are well stacked, generously portioned, and made exceptionally well. They offer a lot of other options for what to include on your burger, including grilled onions, pineapple, cheeses, and more. Their fries are fresh, hot, and crisp. Drinks are still assorted bottled or canned soft drinks or bottled water. You can ask for a glass with ice. No trip to Acuna, Coahuila for me is complete without a meal at Las Chilakas Burger.
