Ate here for the first time ever. Ok, I really want this…read moreplace to be successful. I love family run businesses especially restaurants. So this is my honest opinion hoping you don't get offended. The fries are horrible. Honestly, worst fries I've ever had in my life. They were hot and soggy. No snap or crips whatsoever. To make matters worse, they were served smashed onto the chicken. The fries need a complete overhaul and if folks are telling you they are amazing, they are lying to you. This smashing down these soggy fries into your chicken is the worst possible way to serve them. Onto the chicken, I know you say you have your own special seasoning in the flour. I tasted nothing but flour, lots & lots of salt, & water. You really need to add more seasoning to this batter and bring more flavors into this chicken. I would also recommend having a beef talo options as I feel this would greatly improve on your chicken. I would also recommend yall stop using the "ready in 30 minutes" line. It seems everyone is having this issue including myself. Was told 30 minutes and waited for 55. Again, want to see this place succeed and grow, but the hype I read on line does not even come close to the reality of the food here.

However the chicken sandwich was way sub-par than what I typically get. Not only that but it had this weird rubbery cross between under-cooked (see pink pic) and chewy over cooked. Gross! The tater tots were not hot and not tasty, not like when we were there two two years ago. The burger wasn't even hot enough to melt the cheese. The water was pink. No mask requirement for customers but the staff wears them. The decor inside is indicative of traditional Mexican restaurant. You order at the counter then they bring your plate to you. I ordered the huevos rancheros and a breakfast burrito. We had been camping and hadn't had a meal in almost 24 hours. Was hoping to get some really good border town Mexican food. They brought it out pretty quick. Honestly when I saw it I thought more diner food. It didn't wow me at all. The huevos rancheros comes with two tortillas but they don't put it in a cover so they got hard very quickly. The eggs were more poached than cooked also. The beef cubes were ok. Nothing to write home about though. The breakfast burrito had same issues. A couple minutes after I got it the tortilla was hard.
