I stopped by on a trip to use the restroom and get lunch. The parking lot is a little weird and you have to walk through the line of drive-thru cars to get to the entry door - I didn't see any easy places for mobility-impaired people to enter. (I'm sure there must be one but it is not obvious and will regularly be blocked by vehicles). I appreciate that the restrooms are available for travelers. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. My dine-in order came out quickly and correctly. I got burgers and fries, and they tasted exactly like I expect a McD burger and fries to taste. Soda and water were the only drink options, no tea today. Atmosphere - it's a typical corporate McD's, completely soul-less with very 1984 vibe (the book, not the year). There are self-order kiosks if you don't want to interact with any humans. Let's face it, nobody comes here for the atmosphere anymore. Fortunately there is still an actual register too. The cashier was quick, friendly, and helpful, and she is the reason for the third star. read more

I have to say it kind of amazes me that any McDonald's anywhere, or even a Burger King or a Wendy's or a taco Bell or whatever... Any fast food restaurant anywhere should have a minimum of four star reviews on Yelp. I mean it's not rocket science you don't have a wait staff, there isn't a real extensive menu, it's basically fast food to go from a counter. I just stopped at this location, and for the record I don't go to McDonald's maybe once every couple of months, but I found myself here Another thing that never ceases to amaze me is that every time I do drive by in McDonald's or other fast food establishments, the line of the drive-thru is like 15 or 20 cars long. This one was no different. There were seriously 20 cars in the drive-thru which basically means if they serve a car every 90 seconds that poor guy that was last in line is going to wait 30 minutes for his food. The only reason I point this out is because when you go into the lobby, it's empty. You are next in line. This goes of course more toward the fact that people are lazy and don't want to get out of their cars I guess but still... I was of course proven wrong a little bit on this next in line thing as I went inside I ordered using a little kiosk which for an old guy like me is different, I chose to pay with cash so I have to walk up to the counter which now has two people in front of me. Not a big surprise because the drive-thru line is still super long and the two people in front of me are moms with families and they're older like me so they probably did the math and said yeah no I'm going to go inside and shave 25 minutes off my visit. So I wait in line 10 minutes and then another 5 minutes later bam I've got my food and I'm in my car and I'm out of there. I did only give this three stars instead of the four that I earlier said should be an easy task for any random McDonald's however my reasoning for only three is because everybody working there seemed to be lacking enthusiasm. Everyone's kind of moving at their own little pace and they're just getting it done so they can get out of there and go home. Now I'm not saying that if I worked in a McDonald's I would have much more enthusiasm or maybe I would but these people look like tired drones. The girl at the front counter that took my money was pleasant however it almost felt like she was being pleasant because she was told she had to be not because she wanted to. My personal thought is that if you are seriously this unhappy with your job, by all means go get a different one. So enough about the wore out employees, and the long drive-thru line,.. On the plus side the place was clean, bathrooms were also clean, all the way probably have to add at this point that of course the dining room is clean because there's nobody in it... Waited around 45 minutes for my food, people who ordered after me got their food well before me, they completely missed my order and I had to come up and call for a workers attention to remake it. Very gross conditions in the dining area. Only plus is that the fountain was open for customers for free refills. read more

McDonald's - Gross kitchen conditions - Burgers Near Me - Dansville, New York

Went there today for lunch while traveling. Ordered a 4 piece nuggets and nothing else. Took forever! A guy ahead of me was waiting with food to return. He had to tell employee 3 or 4 times what the issue was. An employee took returned food and gave it to another employee to fix. Another employee said we do take back the food; however it was too late as the other employee set it on the work space to fix before throwing out. Major health violation & obviously weren't trained employees. Floor was gross too.Bathroom floor all wet. An elderly woman had a walker and other woman said be careful because floor wet and she could slip. Unsanitary, unsafe, weird neighborhood. Park in the back and you'll know what I mean. The queue must have had 7 orders behind. 4 darn nuggets. read more

Like it or not, every now and then we all for the most part heed the sirens call that once lured Greek mariners to their doom and head to a McD's especially when on the road as they are indeed everywhere and as the great prophet Frankie Valli once said, "Grease is the Word." So we thundered in on the way home on a Sunday around lunch and as most of the reviews for the listing mention, S-L-O-W is the overriding theme here. Why are things slow? Well for starters for the most part what the hell else is in the immediate area? The Danville New York area is not exactly going to be mistaken for Manhattan anytime soon in terms of number of restaurants. Also the design of this McD's is stupid in that near the drive thru line they have this little island divider which I suppose is needed as there are two entrance points off of Franklin Street to get on the property and only one order point which means backup city when things get busy. The food was rendered correctly which of course is the lowest of all bars to slump over but again the total wait time in the drive thru line was I don't remember, ten plus minutes which for say it with me: FAST FOOD (or fat food, either way it's the same) is insane. While I suppose this place is convenient because it's right off of 390 or for the one person a year who would walk over from the Mouse Fart Municipal Agway-Livestock Feed-Filtration Plant & Airport but for the rest of us, the wait at mid day is ludicrous. Normally I would say skip this place in a heart beat (assuming you still have a beating heart after eating here) but what are your other near by choices? The BK? The Bell? The T&A truck stop? Or to wait for the nearest town that has more people in it than deer which is 80 miles away. Best of luck. read more

I love this McDonald's for a few simple reasons: 1) It's walking distance from the airport. 2) It's clean, fast and friendly. 3) Ice cream is delicious! I've been here a few times where I fly into Dansville (picturesque flight over Letchworth, etc) and then walk over to the McD's for an ice cream. It's a surreal experience and when you're done with it and if you're a pilot, it's definitely a fun short trip for some ice cream! And hey McDonald's soft serve is no joke at $1, it's a heck of a deal! I also like the snack wraps they have (grilled) as some of the more healthier options. read more

This is possibly the WORST McDonalds's anywhere! They mess up the orders almost every time. They can't seem to even be able to cook scrambled eggs, consistently making them poorly - either dry and hard clumps or flat rubbery pieces. They can't understand anything ordered if it is not one of the old main items on the menu. I thought that it would be better with the newly renovated building providing an opportunity to improve their personnel, but it seems to have gone further downhill, unfortunately. RUDE and insolent drive-thru attendants. Also, the new building's interior design creates a loud open dining area with no privacy. Like a school cafeteria. LOUD! I measured the decibels on an app on my phone, and it was between 80 - 90 dbs, or more. NOT a pleasant or acceptable dining experience. I now go to Geneseo or Hornell McDonald's instead! read more

This McDonald's is located on Maple near Franklin not far from the exit from I-390 and close the the Dansville airport. Where I live I can't find a single McD's that haven't renovated the restaurants both inside and out, added electronic kiosks for ordering, some have mobile ordering and designated parking spots for checking in and order pickup etc. This McD's is like a blast from the past. It's like watching a movie set in circa 2000 or something like that because I hate to say it but yes this McD's looks like one of the forgotten ones when it became time for upgrades, renovations and just an all around facelift. Besides being behind in the times the food is the food is the food. The creamer for coffee is at the front counter so it's a self serve type deal. I'm more used to them making the coffees with cream/milk to order, not having to do it ourselves but some places are different I get it. They at least have a self serve dispenser for napkins so I don't have to ask for more when I need it. read more

I have no words for the rude staff at this facility. They were very slow and when we thought they were short staffed, we walked out to see most of the employees outside smoking instead of making sure their job was being done. My order was wrong and I asked for it to be remade the right way, and I got an attitude about it and dirty looks. We waited 10 minutes more than what she originally told us the wait time for a new one would be. I'm very disappointed and my friends burgers were undercooked. RUDE. Couldn't get this girls name but she is heavy set and wears a choker with a tattoo on her forearm and a nose ring .A young kid was trying to drop off his resume, and she did not even acknowledge him... finally when I mentioned he was trying to give his resume she rolled her eyes, did not even look at this young kid and slapped it on the side of her counter. As we were trying to order she kept placing her hand on her forehead as if we were taking too long, and "we had to make a decision on our drink". The other employees around her seem very nice, unfortunately she gives this place a bad impression. And as I sit here waiting for my meal and see how she speaks to other customers, (which three of them were coming back from drive thru with wrong orders) really makes me wish she got fired. So RUDE so RUDE so RUDE wow! and I hope the owner of this franchise is reading this, because clearly this is not how you run a business. I just stopped here at 9:30pm before work, I work overnight, and they gave me fries that literally had to of sat there all freaking day they are disgusting and stale as hell. I really hate this McDonald's, I've come a few times before work and waited 15-20 minutes and ended up late because it took them so long.
