We found this when driving through the area and decided to stop for a dinner break. It wasn't far off the highway and was located in a cute, quaint area that had easy parking and an area to walk our dog for a few minutes. We placed the order from the car and the food was ready in about 10 mins. The owner cashed me out and she was friendly and sweet. She made sure we had everything we needed so we could take our order and eat it on the road. We ordered pork fried rice, chicken lo mein and an egg roll. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. The entrees were huge and loaded with meat. To top it off it was super affordable, the total was only $20 and we had leftovers to boot. There is a lunch and dinner buffet on the weekends, I'm sure it's delicious! Just make sure to bring cash if you order is less than $15.

At first glance, I was a little hesitant about the building itself. It's very old, with no real signage, just "Chinese Buffet." The sushi was... okay. If you're looking for something more authentic, I'd recommend ordering a roll instead and telling them you want something authentic. Hopefully they will be as accommodating as they appear. What's out on the buffet seems geared more toward people who might not recognize good sushi if it slapped them in the face (lol). The Chinese food was decent and, surprisingly, not overly oily. I was honestly impressed, since lower-end Chinese buffets often have food swimming in oil, and this place didn't. I think a good makeover could really do this place justice. It's alright, not horrible. It could be a fun place for younger kids who want to try something new, but do not bring someone here on a date. Seriously. Don't do it. They also took our silverware half way through, they did not offer any knives to cut food with. I wanted to throw away napkins cause I had my child with me and not a trash can in sight!

The place had a nice ambiance with a sculpture and indoor pond as soon as you walk in the door. They were also playing nice, soft music you can enjoy your meal to. They have a very large selection of food on their buffet, ranging from some of your traditional American Chinese choices such as fried rice, lo mein noodles, chicken and broccoli, etc. They also offer a host of your more traditional American foods such as pizza, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes and gravy. They also offer a nice selection of different sushi rolls. All of the food seems nice and fresh, with steam coming off most of the food. I thought the taste of the food was pretty good. Everything tasted fresh and had good flavors to it. I personally didn't have any, but my wife said the Mac and cheese was not very good, tasting like "noodles soaked in milk". The sushi had good flavors to it, and the rice seemed fresh (not hard like some sushi rolls that sit out for a while at a buffet). The staff were very attentive, grabbing our used plates at our table, and bringing us refills on the drinks. It also seemed like there was always a member of staff going around the buffet making sure all of the food was staying fresh, and refilling the food that was getting low. We overall had a great experience and definitely will be back in the future!

And it's the nicest place to eat in the casino. It's fairly expensive at $21.95 for dinner per person. You get $3 off that with your Lucky North card, and I also had an offer on my card for another $7 off. We also cashed in our points that were on our card to save a few more dollars, so we paid $30 total for the two of us, with non alcoholic drinks included. I'm vegetarian, and there's a lot of options for me. Off the top of my head, there's pizza, garlic sticks, salad, macaroni salad, soft pretzel sticks, fried mac and cheese, baked potatoes, rolls, spring rolls, and a make your own pasta station. Now, of all of that, the macaroni salad and the pretzel stick were good. The rest was just ok. There was also pimento macaroni and cheese, but I really didn't like that. And I didn't do the pasta station this time, but that is usually good. Like all buffets, it changes, so everything isn't available each time you go. On the dessert bar, there is an Oreo pie that I really like. I usually go get that first to make sure I get a piece, lol. Of the whole buffet, that is the one thing that I truly like. Everything is ok, but nothing is amazing. The pie is really good though. My husband is not vegetarian, and he is really why we come here. There's a much bigger selection for him, and I know he had prime rib. That was probably all he needed to be happy. :) I just found out that they have a brunch until 3pm on the weekends. I would prefer that, so we'll try to go earlier and get brunch next time.

I've frequented the actual buffet, which is typically pretty…read moredecent for American Chinese fair, especially since it's the only Chinese buffet option outside of Olean or Buffalo. But after trying a takeout order for the 3rd time, I cannot recommend doing take away from here. SERVERS: The service is swift, it's happy, very friendly actually for typical brisk Asian style service. They handle the buffet efficiently and are always asking if you're doing well. The lady who took my to-go order over the phone was kind, she even called me back to say they were out of something I ordered and offered a substitute. TO-GO ORDER: This is where it all went downhill. I know sometimes if you make to-go orders, they pull stuff directly off the buffet instead of making something new. Which is whatever, honestly, I'd have preferred what was on the line to what I received. a) Black Pepper Chicken: On the line it's crunchy, crispy and caramelized chicken and onions with a hint of black pepper. What I got in my container was bits of soggy chicken literally floating in non-thickened sweet sauce. So much in fact that it leaked out of the containers edges all over the bottom of the bag. Luckily it was double bagged so it didn't get on my seats. b) Buttered Sea Food: On the line it's fake crab and baby shrimp sautéed with garlic, butter and parsley and a little something extra (I think sesame oil myself) and it's awesome over rice. I ordered a small container of this without the shrimp, because sometimes the shrimp aren't clean and I prefer to skip that. It was okay but there wasn't a lot of the butter sauce, so everything on top was very dried out. I only live 10 minutes away, so it shouldn't be like that after such a short time. c) They were out of the smoky, garlicky green beans and offered to sauté some broccoli in the same style. This also came floating in pool of slightly seasoned water. Like it was blanched and tossed in the container without draining before they dumped sauce on, instead of actually sautéing it. I'd have just rather passed on it. d) The egg drop soup came off the buffet line, so it was fine. It's not the best I've had but it's not the worst either. I'd call it passable and it was the most edible thing from the order, after I added some garlic chili paste. Now this is the only the latest to-go order mistakes. The first two times saw issues as well, like missing food, incorrectly made food and food that is usually dryer instead begging for a lifeline from an ocean of sauce. Honestly, for $30 for takeout, I expect better quality and consistency. If you can make it nice and tasty for the buffet line, you should be able to do the same for the take-out option. It's going to be a while before I add this place back into my rotation.

There were sit down restaurants, that had much higher stars and better reviews. But we prefer buffets, so we can have a little of everything. Something we very much missed during Covid. So even it had lower stars, we decided to give it a go. We were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was very big, decorated nicely, and clean. The staff were super friendly. Some people came in and the staff knew their names. We felt like we were apart of the neighborhood. The food was basic Chinese food. I love Chinese chicken wings and I think Buffets are the most economical way of having them. Their chicken wings were delicious. I also loved the Honey chicken, had a couple pieces of sushi, the you peel shrimp was delish! There were some items that I didn't like. Their egg rolls, nope not for me. The mussels were ok. I did notice that they had chicken nuggets, jello, pudding, Ice cream, etc...non- Chinese items, probably for the kids.I thought that was very thoughtful. Price was very reasonable! 2 people 30.00. + we tipped 6.00. I enjoyed it very much. I did find it odd that not all food was labeled. But if not looked tasty, I tried it. lol but seriously, it would be nice to have all the labels updated properly. I can see why there are regulars. Once you figure out what you like, you can just slide in and load up. Not perfect, but nice experience. If I had to go back to Elmira, I would eat there again. Give it a go. I think it deserves higher stars. We all know when we eat buffets, foods are going to be hit or miss. I just focused I what I did like. I'd also like to add, that I loved that they had fresh fruit and veggie dishes.

I placed my ordered via app and ordered several dishes like always. One particular dish was chicken and snow peas and they used green beans instead. They told my son they would give him something for free for the mixup and I don't see what that was unless it was a tiny box with white rice. The egg rolls have zero flavor and the food doesn't look appealing at all. We asked for sweet and sour sauce for our three shrimp egg rolls and yet no sweet and sour sauce. It's sad because coming from China town this was the closest I found to Chinese food in this area. Now it's just like all the other 3 star places. Just a place to fill your belly. Not to enjoy the cuisine. And just as flavorless. If I were to post a photo and you printed it and ate it ... the photo would have more flavor. Don't waste your money. Wait until the reviews pick up. Hopefully They'll get the Hint.
