This McDonald's has a reputation for sucking. And with good reason. They consistently get orders wrong, fail to give you all your items, and there's consistency issues with freshness. It's something we all put up with because it's the only real fast food in town, but it's absolutely ridiculous. It's not that hard to have some quality control-and try to make sure your customers leave satisfied, especially when many people keep going back because it's the only quick option around. I cannot can't how many times myself or my husband have had to make the drive back to the store because they messed something up. The most recent event is what sparked me writing this review. My husband gets home and not one, but FOUR burgers are missing. We all know McDonald's isn't always the highest quality, but this particular location takes the cake for most disappointing. read more

FRESH FRIES! This is prob the first time in my life I actually truly enjoyed McD's french fries that were fresh! Slightly salty, but crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Mmm.. They were good! :) We were driving up to Lake Arrowhead and then Crestline for the evening. I was so thankful this McDonald's was here and open around 9:40pm when we arrived, though they do close the inside of the store at 10pm (but drive thru stays open). Up in the neck of the woods, it's nice to see something familiar because all the stores / shops/ restaurants seem local mom & pop type businesses and you don't see many "chain" businesses; which is fine if you are up for exploring and adventuring, but the they are either: a) not open late night, or b) when you're feeling sick and want comfort food. The girls inside were very friendly and helped. I told them that I wasn't feeling too good (prob from the winding road on the drive up the mountain and the mocha latte I drank that may have had dairy in it because of a messed up order). Anyways, they kindly gave me a cup of hot water and left me alone while I sat there and watched part of the "Santa Clause" movie on my cable tv app for about 30 minutes. As they were cleaning/locking up the place, they weren't in a hurry to shoo me out the restaurant even though it was closing time. When I walked out the girl bid me good bye and good wishes saying, "I hope you feel better." I don't think I've ever been in a McD's where the employees showed they cared about the customer and were trying to be personable. Thanks ladies! You did an awesome job! read more

They mess up my order every single time I come here. They take my order, I'll read it on the screen and everything is perfect and then I'll get my bag and things are missing, burgers are wrong, drinks and fries are the wrong size, etc. I used to work in a fast food establishment so I understand that the job isn't the easiest but it doesn't matter if they're slammed or if it's slow, the service is always bad and the food is always wrong. read more

I can't give this particular McDonald's zero stars sadly,but it deserves one. I waited for 25 minutes for a basic cheeseburger, because they only do drive ins and totally ignore people walking through the front door. Then they made some weak excuses (they were too busy talking amongst themselves) and handed me a cold cheeseburger. I literally could have driven to the one in Arrowhead or SB faster. Every time I have gone to this McDonald's they either mess up my order or it is never fresh. This time the fries were stale, filet fish was dry and they never have any of the other deals that other McDonald's have. Spent $60 for the food to taste like garbage. I liked this location because they have the kiosk order inside which is supposed to help with service time but not at this store. I waited a solid 10 minutes for my order -- it's not like it was very busy. Also, this McD's is apparently the place to go to score some opiates. I am so grateful to even have a drive through near my home & in no way would I ever want this McDonald's to go away ( unless they changed it into a del taco or another fast food). I have had some rough orders here a pickle in my coffee, trash in nuggets but overall the employees seem to work hard and my order is usually right. It is disappointing when I can't get a shake because the machine is down at 8 sometimes and we don't always get all the deals that other McDonald's get. read more

Being Mc Donald's you can't have high expectations to begin with. We were just there 7:40 pm on a Saturday night wanted to place an order and sit down and eat. No big deal until they decided to tell us that we could only order to go! Their dining room closes at 5 on Saturday!!!! So we left and went to a real restaurant. I understand Covid blah blah blah but their door had their dining and drive thru hours on it. If it had changed their should have at least had a sign up. Came here with my kids the weekend after we moved into Crestline which was about 2 weeks back. While friendly enough, the girl taking our order seemed slightly clueless. Ordered 3 10 piece combos and got 2 combos and 1 actual 10 piece nugget. Also ordered an iced coffee (I'm not a coffee drinker so wasn't sure I needed to order it a different way) and she literally put "coffee - add ice" which isn't what we wanted. My 16 year old went back inside to ask for something and was told they'd be with her in just a minute then all staff disappeared and completely ignored her. Despite the food being fresh, I think we'll take our business elsewhere. The prices are higher than off the mountain and the service was poor. Not worth the time again. I ordered the 'Artisan grilled chicken sandwich' through the drive thru. They took my order and then said, 'oh, by the way, we don't have any tomatoes.' I said, 'ok, what kind of discount do I get. Not only did the "manager" not speak English, she was rude and disrespectful. Basically hung up on me and cancelled my order. I went in today to order food and it was extremely busy. The drive through was busy and so was inside. It was hectic. At first i was annoyed a little because i was very hungry but I realized they were so short staffed. I asked the girl at the counter if they were just really busy and she explained to me that two people hadn't shown up. I felt so bad because the whole team was working so hard. Surprisingly they had our food out so fast. I felt bad because all these impatient customers were getting so mad but in reality it's not their fault they were short staffed. Love this place. I come here almost everyday for unsweetened tea The tea is actually really good at this location... The food is always hot and drinks refreshing. This restaurant is always clean. The staff are like super stars for being so nice and for putting up with so many crazy mountain customers. Sara is awesome, she's super friendly and her customer service skills are above standard. But everyone is so cool there. Overall I always leave happy and feel like I get my money's worth. If you join their drive-thru club they give you a sticker and you get a discount on their monthly deals. read more

As a resident of Crestline we don't have much to choose from fast food wise except mcdonalds lol I have a 4 year old so I'm there often. I'm also a huge fan of coffee so I frequently get the vanilla iced coffee but the past 4 times I got it it has no vanilla. The first time it happened I took it back and the girl told me did you stir it, I said yes she said are you sure. .. uh pretty sure lol I wouldn't have drove all the way back. So I just went and got one I usually taste it before I leave but I had a tired restless child with me I get home and big surprise no vanilla. The Good: anyone who loves McDonalds goes to McDonalds!! I have dreams about the french fries sometimes. People here are very friendly, drive through is fast, and they usually give me a ranch as long as I'm ordering above 5 dollars. Breakfast is served late and lunch is served early! The bad: French fry's are too expensive, please lower them to $2.25 or so. You will get more business in the evening. Both myself and a few other Crestliner's will get food at the one at the bottom of the hill when coming home from work to avoid your inflated French Fry's prices. Well, it's a McDonald's, so you probably already know what you're getting - but it does have to be said that if you need to choose between this one and the one in Blue Jay, then go to this one. It's better to sit in, it gets the limited foods that sometimes the Blue Jay one doesn't sell, and the food is reliably fresher and better-tasting than in its Blue Jay cousin. (How is it even possible for one McDonald's food to taste noticeably better than another one? I've no idea, but they manage it...)
