Well I was gonna write an extensive review explaining my horrible experiences, but they don't deserve my keystrokes. They are one of those places you pay for an advertised meal, they charge you full price, and then give you some shit that I guess conveys THEY are going thru hard times since they don't want to give you the protein you paid for. I did not get to try my food. This review is because of the kid coughing and touching my food. This was my first visit to your store. I ordered a steak rice bowl, extra sauce. I noticed 4 employees. A Hispanic girl that took my order, a Hispanic man cutting meat, a black guy finishing the order and bagging it, and one person that was sweeping in the back. I only saw the back of the person. The younger black guy had no gloves on, and was putting rice in a bowl and it looked like he did it with his hand, not even a utensil. I figured maybe he was making food for himself. He then coughed in to his elbow and put my bowl on the table and slid it to the Hispanic older man. The Hispanic man also did not have on gloves and touched the bowl. He then put a glove on and chopped steak and put it in the bowl. The black younger man disappeared to the back area for a few minutes. When he came back, he didn't have gloves on and had not washed his hands even though he had been in the back. He takes my completed bowl in his bare hands, puts sauce on it, coughs in to his elbow again, and covered my bowl. He coughed one more time before bagging my order and handed it to me. I didn't feel comfortable asking for a new bowl to be made so I left with the bowl. Because he coughed at least 3 times while touching my food, and did not wash his hands either, I will not eat this. No one should be working and touching food with their bare hands during covid, flu, and RSV season. Also, the Hispanic man and girl were not paying attention because they were joking around with each other. Kind of flirting, but they weren't coughing or touching my food with bare hands so I didn't mind what they were doing. I really don't want to call the store directly because the complaint is about someone who is there right now and that makes me uncomfortable. So basically I just wasted $10. I can highly recommend eating at this waba grill location. I've been eating here for the last 4 years now and they always have great music and a clean restaurant. The service is amazing very kind, to attest to this I came in 3/5/2024 and they gave me a delicious waba bowl (steak and chicken) and a chicken bowl for my wife, the chicken bowl was delicious but it didn't have enough chicken so I asked if they could add some and they didn't hesitate to fill it up to make it match my bowl. I just went to this location for the first time. I should have listened to my instincts because there was no one there ordering food, it smelled like a burning grill and it was smokey in there. I seen nothing but teenagers working and goofing off and giggling. I ordered my food and normally they'll cook it right in front of you to be fresh (as I seen at other wabba grills). I got my food about a minute or less of ordering it. I felt the top of the lid and it felt warm so I just took it home. When I got home my chicken was pink, and my veggies tasted old. So, I've never been this Waba before and so I was very impressed with their customer service. The young lady at the register was really kind and even helped me pick out a dish since I have some insane meal restrictions. However, my dish tasted like some sort of windex or cleaning product. I don't know if it was the soy sauce on my tofu or the tofu alone but the broccoli also tasted like cleaning chemicals. I didn't get to finish my dish due to this.. at first I thought it was just me but I had friend try it and she said the same, it tasted like chemicals. Yikes. If I could give less stars I would. Today my husband bought lunch at the Sierra Way location. He noticed the lettuce in his salad was yellow on top and the entire bottom half of the salad was black. He took it back in and asked the manager if she would eat it. She said no with an attitude. Being in the customer service business he expected at the very minimum an apology. He talked to this lady a good ten minutes as the line behind him grew longer. Not one time did she offer an apology. He left there furious at her lack of concern. What a shame. Located in the sketchy part of San Bernardino is this place. They have a lot of promos by the door to attract customers. When I was there barely anyone was there. The young lady took my order and she was very nice. She helped me with everything and guided me where are the sides. The food came in at less than 5 minutes. The food is like any other WaBa Grill. She seemed in a bad mood or just like she didn't want to be there which doesn't make any sense because you choose where you work and if you hate your job your not obligated to stay.
