We found this spot for lunch, and apparently Texas said, "You want meat? SAY LESS!" The Texas…read morelocation gives you a noticeably bigger portion of meat than the one back home, and we started spotting Rosa's Cafe locations everywhere (this is like Texas Taco Bell, they're everywhere). between the airport and our hotel, so yeah, this definitely feels like a Texas thing! The star of the show is absolutely the fajita meat. They use real skirt steak ranchera, and it comes out super tender, juicy, and wonderfully smoky. The guacamole is fresh, and the flour tortillas are made from scratch in-house, which is basically the tortilla equivalent of showing up to dinner dressed to impress. Overall, Rosa's Cafe delivered a very Texas lunch: more meat, smoky fajitas, fresh guac, and homemade tortillas. Yeehaw!! Pro tip: Get a side of the Roasted jalapeños!! Smokey and tasty!!

The infamous Taco Tuesday meal deal for the low price of $6.59 brought my hungry family into Rosa's…read moreCafe recently. It seems that a lot of others found this offer just as enticing because the place was packed and stayed that way the entire time we were there. The busy bees behind the scenes flawlessly handled the rush though, because our food, along with everyone else's, came out as quickly as ever. We ordered plates of soft and crispy tacos with chicken and beef. In addition to 3 tacos, the meal comes with rice and beans. I thought the rice was especially tasty, rivaling the kind you would get at a more expensive restaurant. They also throw in a bag of fresh flour tortillas, which are perfect for constructing even MORE tacos from whatever is left on your plate. Then there's the salsa bar, stocked with several different salsas of varying heat levels, as well as pico, fresh and pickled jalapenos, cilantro, onions, lemons and limes. As much as I like the idea of having all these options, I have to say that when it came to the red salsas I almost couldn't tell them apart. They were all so heavy on the tomatoes that I could barely detect any other ingredients or seasonings. I've always considered Rosa's to be a step up from fast food, after all, you're not using disposable plates and utensils. And, the portions are usually large enough to take home a future meal or 2 (Hello Taco Wednesday!). But it doesn't change the fact that I would still rate them 3 stars on any other day besides Taco Tuesday.

On previous visits they have been very fast which seems to be a trait of all their locations. This can sometimes result in rushed service, but not rude or indifferent, they are just busy. On my previous visits I was in a rush and had only tried their wraps and chicken nuggets. I haven't had an issue with sloppy presentation on any of those visits which is a plus. Today however I had a little more time and was going to be able to sit down and eat this at work so I decided to get a salad. I would like to point out that their salads are all in the $4 range for the half order. My specific meal was a half order of the Apple Walnut Chicken salad which is $4.19 before tax. This portion is a little on the small side for the price but this serving size was exactly what I was in the mood for as I am not used to eating before noon and didn't have a full appetite. Therefore, I would like to point out that regardless of the salad, the full portion is exactly $2 more but is more than twice the size. I have ordered a different salad in the full size before at other locations and was unable to finish 2/3 of it. I would say the full order is definitely a good deal. This was basically my test of the location to see if I would loop it into my lunch rotation. I ordered it without blue cheese. If you can't get that right, I'm not willing to try your salads again. If you use wilted lettuce or chewy chicken, I'm also not willing to try your salads again. I was impressed! First, no blue cheese- yay! Every single piece of lettuce was crisp and fresh which far exceeds my expectations of a salad I got from a drive thru restaurant. The apples were fresh and juicy, perfectly ripe and cubed for easy eating. Really loved the walnuts, hunted every single one down. They were candied but not overly sweet which I think is perfect in a salad and is a nice compliment to the cranberries. The chicken was perfectly cooked, cut into small pieces, and had some seasoning on there. I loved that it was all white meat and none of it was chewy. It came with a pomegranate vinaigrette and that is by no means my favorite flavor. I don't dislike it or particularly like it, just don't get all the fuss about pomegranates. I opened it up a little too roughly and most of it immediately spilled onto the salad. I was sad for a moment as I like to start off with lighter dressing so I can actually taste the food before deciding if it needs more. Ah well, what's done is done. I mixed it up and took a bite and wow!! That dressing is delicious enough to drink! I really enjoyed it on my salad and would absolutely order this exact thing again!! I'm not even a huge salad fan and this was a fantastic lunch. You show me a drive thru restaurant with fresh ingredients that can follow instructions and you got yourself a customer! I noticed all the reviews on here were quite old and I want you to know that this place is still great and is very fast for a meal on the go. This location is superior to other ones near by so go check it out! I certainly found it worth an extra 3 minute drive!

This was a very busy location. We found a parking spot quickly but then realized we were at the very back of the restaurant. There was no clear markings or signs directing how to enter! It felt very dangerous. Once inside, the line moved quickly. There is a huge play structure inside and it kept lots of kiddos entertained. Our food order was delivered promptly by a friendly employee and everything was correct. I had to go ask for a plastic knife so I could cut my sandwich in half. When I thanked her, I love that they say, "my pleasure."our food was good except one of my granddaughters nuggets was inedible. This is a great location if you're at Grapevine Mills Mall, Bass Pro Shop or the new Dig World attraction. I'm sure it gets lots of customers from those venues, not to mention all the nearby hotels.

From the basics of taking and filling your order to the extras of getting people refills and sauces etc, the team is on it. One terrible thing about a lot of Chic-Fil-A's, this one included, is that you have to fight the drive-thru line as a pedestrian to go inside the restaurant. It is dangerous at times. The interiors on Chic-Fil-A's is always lacking in warmth and comfort. They are just functional. This one has a kids play area, so the main dining area is dominated by families whose kids are running in and out of it. If you are fortunate, there may be a table on the other side of the restaurant you can sit at to avoid that. My one other complaint is that whenever I order nuggets, without fail, and it happened this time too, at least one nugget, is so fatty it cannot be eaten and has to be spit out.
