I swear every time I do an order for pickup through the drive through I have to wait at that tiny window, they hand me hot fries and cold drinks, and I sit and wait while my fries get cold and drinks get warm, waiting for one or two items.. And then, by the time I get home... I'm ALWAYS missing something... A small fry, sauces, a cheeseburger, always something that I have paid for that I do not get... I've gone back in and had to wait while my food gets even colder for whatever I'm missing, this place is just not good anymore... 5-10 years ago, it was hard to come across an issue... Now.. Food is always slow and usually cold. Using bags for fries instead of boxes is diabolical, you will never have hot fries unless you pull into a parking spot and eat them as soon as you get them. I love McDonald's. I really do. The fries are usually my kryptonite--salty, golden, and the reason I forgive myself for late-night snacking. So tonight I ordered the McDonaldland meal, expecting nostalgia, fries, and a fun collectible prize to make it all worth the $15-$20 price tag. Instead, I got disappointment in a bag. The fries were cold, dry, unsalted, and flavorless. Basically, they tasted like someone left them out during a staff meeting and then thought, "Eh, good enough." But here's the kicker: the collectible piece--the whole draw of the McDonaldland meal--was missing. That's not just a fun extra, that's part of what I paid for. Without it, the meal is basically overpriced nuggets and regret. And to add insult to injury, the sauces I ordered were missing too. So overall? Horrible experience. At this McDonald's they try a little harder to satisfy their customers, compared with so.e of the other locations in the area. I came here this morning and ordered the Eg McMuffin value meal and it was brought to my table within minutes after placing my order. They person who brought the tray to the table was exceptionally friendly, and helpful. She even went back to the counter to get some ketchup packets for me. The Egg McMuffin was great, and I could taste the difference in that it was prepared just minutes before. Sometimes when you order food at fast food places, they give you what has been sitting in the warmer tray. That wasn't the case here at all. This McDonald's is very clean and has consistent quality. But the prices have gone through the roof. An egg and cheese biscuit is eight dollars. Hashbrowns are three dollars. They raise the prices every month. I just don't wanna patronize a business that treats customers that way. They're also a number of people that stop by to "charge their telephone phones". It appears to be people that are simply staying in the restaurant during the day because they don't have another place to go. I walked in here for lunch today, and everything about this place was caotic and loud. I came for lunch last wee as well and it was a madhouse. From the loud music, to the employee screaming out order numbers, this was not a nice dining experience at all. I ordered a Big Mac sandwich and a small fountain drink through their Mobil app, and even the app gave me problems. Even though the order was prepared fast, It was super stressful in every other aspect, and I don't know whether it's because of the location and hoards of people, or simply because the manner in which this location is operated. This has got to be the best McDonald's around! I love the filet of fish. It's always hot and crispy right out of the fryer, and the buns are soft and really fresh! Fries are full & perfect. So many of their other locations in Montgomery County, Maryland, are horrible! I don't usually review McDonald's but I was in Maryland this weekend helping my boyfriend with DMV issues and after spending 4 hours at the DMV (aka in Hell) this Mcdonald's was our savior. The inside I believe is newly renovated and it is extremely clean with two of those online ordering machines. I really like the machines because they allow for more customization and I can order more food without feeling like a fat POS speaking to another human. Also, all of the saucessss! Like I said, we came from a terrible experience at the DMV so we ordered a big mac meal, a 6 piece chicken nuggets meal, and two cheeseburgers. We decided to eat in the store because we were exhausted. The tables were clean and our food took only moments to prepare. The woman who brought us our food was friendly and when we asked for ketchup she got it and brought it back to us promptly. Not sure why they have such terrible reviews but I guess haters gonna hate. Seriously need to get their bathroom cleaning under control. The bathroom was out of order for 30+ minutes -- because the cleaning was done by using an empty drink cup to throw water up the walls, the use an ordinary corn broom to sweep the water to the drain. I went here for the first time during the pandemic this week. I had been on the fence because every time I go out I have some anxiety and I am like, is anxiety worth it for McDonald's? I was surprised to learn that they've entirely closed the indoors to customers--can only do drive through, contactless curbside, or walk up (outdoor) window. It made me feel safer knowing there aren't a lot of people inside. I don't know if this is just because of the county's ban on indoor dining right now and whether they will keep it after it's lifted. 11/7/19 Been to this McDonald's when I was a kid. Of course it did not look like it looks now. Back in the day McDonald's made pre-made sandwiches unless you needed it custom made. Many sandwiches had stuff I did not like on them or the sandwiches were too dry and nasty. This was the way McDonald's Restaurants operated back then. Today its come how you wanted. You want only onions, they got you. You want fries without salt, they got you. You want an Oreo Mcflurry with caramel, THEY GOT YOU. If your a bacon lover, the will hook you up. Speaking of bacon, it took McDonald's a very long to to include bacon as a permanent food item for the restaurant. I have not eaten anything from McDonald's for nearly a year. My new year's resolution is almost over. Hopefully the blueberry McGriddle will come back so I can try it out. Guess we will see. When I have eaten here, 96% of the time the food was done correctly. This is really one of, if the not the, worst McDonald's that I have ever been to. This place lacks a basic understanding of customer service principles. The wait, either inside or drive-thru, is unnecessarily long. My order was incorrect and the people at the drive-thru (one of them being the manger) could have cared less. They did not want to give me a receipt and were super rude through out the entire transaction. Also here is a tip to the management - you never know who is fluent in Spanish, be careful next time you decide to trash a customer in front of them, regardless of the language. Drive threw order was wrong as usual. Yes I know it's my fault for coming back. Paid way to much for one number one meal. They refused to give me my money back. Found a crispy chicken sandwich in my bag that was far from crispy. It's was black/burnt and inedible. The manager was argumentative and would not take the time to listen that I was paying for food that I did not order. The soda is always flat and taste like chemicals other than the normal chemicals that should be in it. What's more disturbing is the picture of the big Mac that you see is how I received it when I opened the package. There were three or four nice big bites out of it. Absolutely disgusting and unhealthy. Good luck going to this McDonald's eat at your own risk. It takes a lot to get me to write a review for McDonalds. The food is exactly the same at every location, so what really sets it apart are the people that work there. This is a pretty modern location. Yes, it can be busy and slow...but it's not always their fault, and it seems like they do what they can to alleviate the problem. They've added kiosks you can order from without standing in line, and the drive thru moves fairly quickly. I sometimes stop here in the mornings on the way to the office. I've never had a problem until today, 10/25/18. I got to the window, took my bag of food, and like you do, checked to make sure all the items were there before I pulled off. I don't like to eat in the car, so when I got to my desk to dig in, I unwrapped my sausage egg and cheese biscuit, only to find no sausage, just egg on a biscuit. I realize mistakes happen, but this seemed pretty careless...I was annoyed. I set the sandwich aside and decided I'd take it back on my lunch break. I wasn't sure what (if anything) they'd do about a 5 hour old sandwich, but I figured I'd try. This location is BUSY during lunch, often with a line of cars not even able to turn in from River Road. I fought the traffic, parked and went inside to stand in a really long, slow moving line. However, after a minute the manager sees me standing in line with a bag and immediately surmises why I'm there. She waved me over, and I explained what happened. She took the bag, and came back a moment later with a totally fresh sandwich. She apologized and even threw in an order of fries for my trouble. I like McDonalds. I've defended it for decades. But this McDonalds has some annoyances. For one, they are trying to push you to the self-serve kiosks. I get it: labor in Montgomery County MD is too expensive, so they have replaced workers with machines. But have you ever heard McDonalds take on the local politicians? No. Their silence is assent. Plus kiosks are way slower than talking to a human being. Second, they make you beg for a straw. I'm serious! Straws are kept behind the counter! (But the soda fountains are not near the counter.) Did they forget they are slinging burgers, not quinoa?! Try getting a straw when it's busy and you have to push past everyone when you realize this is the woke McDonalds that thinks straws are evil. Um, hey Mickey D's: your toys are make in China, a police state with no environmental laws. So don't think you have virtue for making kids (or adults) feel bad for wanting a straw. As a parent, I have eaten at sooooo many different McDonald's all over this nation and in Europe, Mexico and Canada. I don't love their food but it is still the best value on the planet for what it offers. THIS McDonald's however, deserves -5 stars. Unfortunately, and oddly, it is the only McDonald's within a 5 mile radius of where we reside in the Bethesda, so we have been there several times. Consistently, this is the worst McDonald's we have ever been to. The cashiers are Always rude and the one of the managers, whose Spanish is almost as bad as his English, sets the tone for the entire restaurant with his bad attitude. Combine that with mistaken orders and over-charges each and every time, and you have the worst McDonald's that I have ever been to of all-time. The new manager a Peruvian guy and his cashier were very helpful and the service today. Unfortunately there was a very stupid employee there who as soon as I sat across from her she moved away and even looked at me from head to toe. She was very discriminative considering she's a minority. I sensed the same from the manager who even though helped me seemed to want to get me out of there ASAP because of my style. I demand to be treated with respect regardless. Because I come here to consume. Overall good experience but those things shouldn't be there! thank you read more
