***Actually giving it 6 stars. One of our group members said lettuce eat at McDonald's. ...And so we did! We ordered the sausage biscuit and the McChicken by a friend's recommendation. He's a very close friend of the group. They were dollar menu delights. The sausage biscuit was delectable. The grape and strawberry preserves were berry good. So good that we wept. The McChicken was A1 as well. McFreakin fantastic experience. The facilities were nice. Good modern decor and the man behind the bar was really nice to us. You can trick the paper towel dispensers into giving you more paper towels than you need! 12 out of 10 would recommend. Stopped here around 8 pm to grab something to eat. Drive through line was super long, so instead of placing the order at drive thru, I placed it on the phone. This is probably the slowest drive through I've ever been to. When I opened the happy meal, there was no sauce and toy was not the type I ordered... I'd rather drive to a different McD hoping it will at least get the order right. read more

Stopped by close to six pm on a Thursday night. There were only a few cars in the parking lot which I assume were employees as none were parked near the building. The food was fine and nothing was wrong with the order but the wait was very slow. There were only two cars ahead in the drive thru and somehow it took more than 6 minutes to get our fast food. The first vehicle did not have a large order and the car in front of us only ordered a smoothie. Unfortunately it was the slowest experience I've had at a McDonalds. I understand when it gets busy things can take time, but with only three cars in the drive thru it should not take that long for fast food. read more

Worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Ordered 3 cheeseburger happy meals (specified plain, just cheese and meat) along with a double cheeseburger, 2 cokes, and some nuggets. When we got up to the window, the food was not ready and they couldn't find the ticket. I had to produce my receipt. When we finally did start getting food out the window, the happy meals were not correct. When I told them the burgers were not plain, the girl working said "well, it's not on the order that way." Well, I specified it... I have 3 kids and they order the same thing every time, so I order the same way at every McDonald's I go to. Begrudgingly, they said they'd remake, and asked me to pull forward. We waited 15 minutes (no joke, I timed it) for new happy meals, which were AGAIN incorrectly made and not plain burgers. Waited ANOTHER 15 minutes. The overarching theme of everything at the dells is "poor customer service," and this was no exception. read more

Horrible Service. Too much to list. I was a regular customer, and they still treated me like crap. When you order for dine-in the kiosk will ask you for a table tent number. Then while you are sitting down waiting for your food you hear someone loudly call out your number. Expecting you to get up and retrieve your food. Also, the kiosk is the most efficient way to order at this particular McDonald's. And most of the time the printer is out of paper, so you don't get a receipt. And if you weren't paying close attention to what number was on your order there is no way to know what number to listen for. I hate this McDonald's. Keep driving! This location is clean and has plenty of parking, but that's where things end when it comes to what McDonald's has set as their standard expectations. The food is overpriced as compared to other locations AND they nickel and dime you charging for condiments. I don't even know how the food will be but this place gets one star because of this system of ordering and the chaos it causes. You are charging me $18 for a fast food breakfast and you can't even take my order in person? Ridiculous!! And then the kiosk says go to the register and pay but every register has a sign that says "Register Closed ". I had to walk up and ask someone "How do I pay?" Response was "you can pay here". Congratulations for considering the slowest McDonalds on planet Earth. They have literally closed all the registers and instead redirected customers to kiosks. The store has 6 kiosks however they have closed 4 of those too. So there are two kiosks open and they are the two that block the main entrance to the store as well as the bathrooms. If some local manager is failing on simple logistical decisions such as this, imagine the decisions they are making to impact cleaniliness and food quality! Never again. read more

Just drove through on the way back from Chicago and had a hankering for a hot fudge Sunday and of course you have to balance that with some salty fries. The Sunday was what could be expected and so were the fries, which at McDonald's, that means when you order a large you will get only a medium amount of fries in the container........ensues the "I felt ripped off" sigh. :( read more

I don't do reviews of chain restaurants but this is no ordinary McDonald's. Located near the Walgreen's on the corner, the place looks like a giant log cabin. Rustic decor, wood carvings, a stuffed raccoon, badger, coyote, fox, and a giant moosehead all give this place authentic Dells flavor. The food: well, a typical McDonald's menu. There's lots of open space in the restaurant, a stone fireplace, and a video game room off to the side. The taxidermy animals are really cute, especially the raccoon holding the Mcdonald's fries packet. We stop at this McD's every year on our way to Minnesota in the fall. It's become a family tradition to take our pictures next to the life-size wood-carved bear holding a "Welcome" sign by the entrance. Even if you never eat at McDonald's, come in and take a look around at this one. read more

Really...a special late night menu...?! So we cant get anything on your menu?! Then when we get to the window we wait for over 5 minutes to get our chicken nuggets and burger?! Granted we had our window open so she could have heard me say, but i stated to my boyfriend "what are they doing? Killing the chickens and cows" and about 20 seconds later the lady opens the window basically tosses the bag of food to my boyfriend and states that the nuggets just got out. Really though...if you have a restricted menu, shouldnt you have that stuff semi ready?! Its mcdonalds not a steakhouse...we expect that kinda stuff.. Great atmosphere paired with not-so-great prices. We headed here because of the draw of a breakfast dollar menu and were quickly deterred upon entry. The place was packed and there was plenty of seating in this woodsy cabin/McDonald's. The nooks and crannies are all filled with taxidermy raccoons and foxes, which takes "kitsch on the walls" to a whole new level. The stone fireplace was a nice addition - as well as the high lofty ceilings. Good place to start your water park/amusement park-filled days. read more

Went to this location at night for a simple order. 2 large fries. Everything was fine, employees were kind. Once I got my order, I checked and my fires were filled halfway. Let me preface this by saying that the employees were perfectly civil and ultimately more helpful than the manager. I ordered. My order was wrong and I was overcharged. I asked the employee (who had been nice to me and I had no problem with) if they could void the order and re-enter it, and they called the manager over. He was immediately rude to his employee and yelled at them to go somewhere else. He then proceeded to refund me for individual parts of my order before I had finished telling him what was wrong and explained to me why I was getting a deal while I explained that I didn't want what was on my ticket. He finally refunded me twice, for about $1-2 each time (and I'm still not sure what I was charged for, because he wasn't listening to me at all or explaining what he was refunding). Later, my order shows up missing two items. I asked where they were, and the manager snapped how that wasn't what I told him--it is what I tried multiple times to explain to him, and another completely unrelated item was also missing. Finally, he threw my remaining food on my tray, and I was able to leave. I've worked fast food and understand that it's stressful when customers have complaints (and not all customer complaints are reasonable), but that doesn't mean you should yell at your employees. From the way the other employees reacted to him, I would guess he acts like this a lot. read more

I am from out of state but I am here on vacation and i stopped in and got some nuggets with my brother and when we opened the box of nuggets one had a bite taken from it and when i called they acted like they didn't do it, like i know for a fact it wasn't me or my brother. It's your average McDonalds. I went here for something on the way home from Wisconsin Dells. Everything felt like your regular McDonalds. The service wasn't that good. I barely understood one of the employees. The food was served pretty quick though. The food is your average food from Mickey D's. I had a Chicken McNuggets with a Twix McFlurry. The chicken McNuggets tasted okay. It was nothing too special. My Twix McFlurry was pretty good. They mixed the ice cream and the candy well. All in all, it's your average McDonalds. As far as Mickey Dee's go, I don't really ever feel stunned out of my mind to bother reviewing them but this one's got class. It's designed to look like a big cabin lodge with moose heads and fish on the walls. They've got a small arcade near the bathrooms which are some of the cleanest of the public places in the Dells area. The inside is HUGE here and they've got a TV as well up high, the roof is pretty high up, it's honestly a nice little place for a quick lunch or breakfast if you're interested in grabbing a fast meal and then heading out to the attractions around. The only other fast food burger place I'd recommend in this neck of the woods, is Culver's. There's just a little something extra special about the dairy in Wisconsin fast food :) read more

Ok, McDonalds is a McDonalds as any McDonalds... Except this one is a log cabin and has taxidermy animals holding a McDonald's cup or a hamburger. The kids found it to be amusing. They have a mini arcade toward the entrance which is nice to have the kids wait in there while I order. There are plenty of seating. The dining area is spacious. I never feel crowded when I'm here. Even with a group of 25. I've always found parking as well. Honestly, with all the touristy trap restaurants, McDonalds may be the way to go because you know what you're getting and it's a cheat eat. read more

This is a McDonald's that sir Donald could be proud of with a little more encouragement. The bathroom experience was overall pleasant; it reminded a few of us of our old elementary school bathroom. The water cups were paper and good for the environment, but a tad unappealing. Adding to our disappointment, the chairs did not move or spin. Boo. As for the food, the jelly was our jam. But now lettuce talk about the mcchicken. The bun was a tad over touched and the pepper usage was overzealous and the overall exposition was sloppy... the bun was smushed, but it was wrapped half hazardously, explain that! As for the biscuit, it ain't like mama fixed it" (Alan Jackson). The sausage biscuit did really save the day with the succulent biscuit, although there was a disagreement about the ratios of meat to bread.
