I had apparently been at a Big Boy when I was really little but don't remember it. So when I saw this Big Boy in Wisconsin Dells....well....i knew I'd be getting dinner from here. Inside is adorable and like you're in a cool old diner. There are decorative Big Boy statues everywhere, and you can buy a bank or bottle of wine to bring home with you. I split an order of cheese curds, and if you're a blogger, can confirm you're going to get some epic cheese pulls out of the curds. My Big Boy burger was HUGE but tasty, I saved the other half for lunch the next day. The fries are perfection, especially dipped in ranch dressing, and you might as well kiss your diet goodbye and eat them all there, they are sooooooo good. I was stuffed or I'd have checked out their deserts as well, they have a 4 for $20 deal going on right now that looks amazing. All in all a super cool touristy experience, you'll feel super nostalgic here.

The food was astonishing genuinely a great burger and it had all types of flavors! The service was amazing and very effective and efficient! The ambiance is very relaxing with good music playing at all times and cool relaxing colors!

Husband and I decided to go to Big Boy while we were in the Dells because we grew up with them. I ordered the Big Boy burger with fries and my husband ordered a patty melt with onion rings. My burger was ok. The fries and onion rings were good and crunchy just the way I like them. The restaurant looked just the way we remembered it when were young with the red booth seats and counter seats. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. Nice going back in time.

Nostalgia,Nostalgia,Nostalgia! Boy this place takes me back to my childhood. I felt like I stepped back into the late 60's,early 70's.Wanted to try the one in Germantown, but they closed and moved to Sussex,so I was excited when I saw they opened one by our place in the Dells.Red vinyl booths and the Big Boy statues all over and a regular bar too(don't remember them having bars in the past) so you can have a beer or cocktail with your burger, and I did.My patty melt was toasted perfectly, just wish it was a little bigger. The onion rings were exactly like I remembered, crispy and tasty, and the dipping sauce had a nice mustardy taste to along with them.My wife's burger also reminded me of days gone by.Now that they're in the Dells,I'll have to try their shakes/ fountain items on our next visit. Great place to reminisce and revisit your childhood.Good job Big Boy!

Had high hopes as I had fond memories of eating at Big Boy in Kentucky when I was younger. This was nothing like the Big Boy we used to eat at. The decor inside was the best part. Old diner vibes. We went around 4:30pm and it was just us and an elderly man eating there. The staff seemed bored. Our waitress was friendly enough. The food was not fresh. My burger was a frozen patty. With no flavor. It reminded me of bowling alley food. We would've been better off going to Culver's and gotten fresh and hot food for less money. We will not return. Overpriced bland food. Has potential but not trying.

Customer service was simply ok and rushed, and the establishment is not busy at all. Establishment is located near the end of the Wisconsin Dells stores. First our waiter say the sliders came as is an no exceptions. They have a secret sauce that seems similar to a McDonald's Big Mac Sauce that is just to overwhelming and not making the sliders edible since the sauce cannot be added on the side. The sauce its itself is not greatest and I recommend ordering on the side. The Big boy burger was just ok and we were able to get the sauce on the side. The kids Spaghetti had a really strong taste of basil and oregano making it not edible since the spice flavor was overwhelming . The chicken tenders were extremely tuff to bite and not edible, and our table was not check to see if we can get a refill on our drinks. The best thing was the onion rings. The cole slaw that came with the meals had an after taste.

This was our first time at a Big Boy restaurant. Fun atmosphere and opportunities for pictures. Food was meh. Dry buns, bland fries, hard onion rings, and bland coleslaw. Cake was the best part of the meal.

Food was great maybe add more of that delicious sauce on my big boy original burger next time it's the best sauce for a burger period! Chicken was great portions are generous. The establishment has a vintage vibe going on yet super clean and spacious. Prices are fair for what things cost nowadays! They sell big boy merchandise mugs hoodies well a lot more than what I mentioned here and you can play pull tabs whiles you're there we won a decent amount paid for half our meal with what we won on pull tabs. The big boy beer is very good !! Service was fantastic polite attentive and with a smile . Fun place to go !!

I was a business owner and I know that kind of thing can hurt. But there comes a time.... It would appear that this used to be a very good German restaurant. The building has exquisite bones, with German murals on the wall etc. there's an adorable outdoor area that looks like a German fest. Idk what exactly happened, but presumably it's what's happened to many German restaurants. They were started many years ago by immigrants and then eventually the line died out or lost interest. I'm assuming it was bought by a family from Colombia. Who for an unfathomable reason must have thought "we'll still keep the German restaurant but just add a Colombian menu too." Which really wouldn't stress me if they cooked both foods well. You do you. But when they cook German food so poorly as to make it inedible, then I get pissed off, because food is super expensive now and you've just made me waste $50 on horrible food. No! There was absolutely nothing on the menu for a vegetarian to eat besides an $18 salad or cheese curds. I went with them figuring I'd just eat later at home. Hubs ordered his favorite German meal, chicken with gravy and spaetzle. The gravy tastes like they opened a jar, the meat was anemic and he described it as floppy. Had barely any coating. And the spaetzle was inedible. It's his favorite thing. He always orders extra. The place was like a ghost town and now I know why. Believe it. Supposedly the Colombian food is better so just dump the German part and make it a Colombian restaurant if you enjoy that. If you like German food I wouldn't recommend eating here.

A group of six of us walked in, sat ourself, and I asked a bartender if the kitchen was open. There were two guys behind the bar. They looked at each other and gave a nod. The younger guy said yes, but we are out of the fish fry. No problem for us. We were served by the younger guy and he was friendly, attentive, and didn't treat us as second class as most of our group took water while I had a couple beers. It was pretty quiet when we arrived. We tried a couple apps, and a few different burgers and fried shrimp. Having read about the steak burger, we had high expectations but it fell a bit flat. Others mentioned a sauce, but there wasn't any in ours. The burger with bacon and jalapeño was a banger though! Onion rings and fries were excellent. The curds were good, but I've had better. When it came time to close the check, our server met me as I jumped off my stool. I don't know his name, but gave him a 25% tip. Wish he worked at my place! For the Dells, the price is very reasonable in my opinion. As we were leaving things were lighting up, and getting loud. I got the impression the kitchen was closing even though they say they are open late as the older guy was grumbling about only having two people working. As an owner of a cocktail bar I get that things happen, but I don't like my employees getting upset about it. The younger guy kept his cool - even if he was hoping for more. I do plan to go back for another service and ask about the sauce on the steak burger. Felt weird to talk about it before getting it the way I assume they serve it. Our son is staying for grad school so we have an excuse to try again!

Very much unimpressed. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of one star, is the soup of the day (a cauliflower soup) was absolutely delicious...but the main meal was bland to put it mildly. There are too many other options. I'm not much of a drinker but I'm also sure the drinks would be good as they looked appetizing, yet with better options in town, I still wouldn't recommend.
