We were trying to look for a place by the Riverwalk just for the view and just to be in front of the river and this is a great place to be. The patio or art outdoor/ balcony is very popular and it's really quite nice to be seated there on a beautiful day. The service was great. We felt like we were taking care of quite good. Now let's go to the food we only ordered the appetizers cuz it was just like an afternoon snack that we went for. We ordered their calamari and the Cajun crab dip I felt like the chips on the crab dip was about to go stale and the menu said that it was a tricolor chip but the one they serve wasn't. The color Mario was good but it was small pieces and the serving size is a bit small. We stopped in based on the views and proximity to our hotel. River Walk Pub was surprisingly empty when we arrived on a Saturday for lunch, only a few other tables were full. The view is great, and the menu has a lot of options. Service was slow, we waited a while before anyone came to take our drink orders. I got the sense that there was minimal staff working that day which was surprising based on it being a Saturday. Service could have been better throughout the entire visit. We ordered wings, spicy chicken sandwich and a bacon avocado sandwich. Overall the bacon sandwich was the best. I would probably not order the wings or the spicy chicken sandwich again. Loved it all The waiter was extremely accommodating and modified some of our food when we explained we were halal. No issues at all! Beautiful outdoor seating overlooking the lake. We had a family reunion in Wisconsin Dells, and all 17 of us went to the Riverwalk pub for dinner. They were very accommodating and got us all on the back outside patio. The decor was beautiful all wood very nicely done like a high-end cabin. The service was pretty slow, but they assigned one girl to our table of 17 and she had two other tables on the patio so she did a pretty good job for how many people she had to wait on we ordered the cheese curds and they were OK nothing to ride home about my wife and I Decided to share the blackened steak sandwich. It was the worst sandwich I think I've ever had the steak was grizzly and chewy. In fact I couldn't even eat it. My daughter had the taco salad which was really good, little different and by that I mean everything was chopped up so I ate half of hers. I rate the food one out of five the decor five out of five, Service three. If you're looking for a beautiful place to have a drink this is for you if you're looking for good food, I might think elsewhere. read more

We only had a drink at this place. Both my wife and I indulged in a mule. She opted for the Moscow and I branched out with the Tennessee berry. Both were average which was a step above the poor service that we received. We walked into the back patio entrance ( up from the Riverwalk). Was told to go to the hostesses stand to check in . There was literally nobody in the restaurant.... Then we were escorted back through the empty restaurant and seated on the deck with about 3 other tables. After waiting 10 minutes and no one showed up I made my way to the empty bar and purchased our drinks....and that was the last time we saw an employee. We visited Memorial weekend Saturday 7:30pm and were seated immediately outside to watch the band in the Perfect spot. The lobby was beautiful too. We had a couple shots and dinner. We started with Stuffed Mushrooms that were sooo good. The 5 large mushrooms held together well and had Chorizo sausage and cheese with a crispy fried crust. I had the Hot chicken sandwich which was a whole chicken breast fried. It was hanging off the bun. I had the honey and hot sauce on the side. Hubby had a full rack of ribs and they were tender falling off the bones with a good bbq sauce. We paid our bill and went to their outdoor bar area and played Huge Connect four and listened to the great bad. They have live music all summer. It was a great night of good food, games and dancing. River Walk Pub is a restaurant/bar that looks good on paper but fails to deliver on service and food. We came for an early lunch (right at open) with a bigger group (9 people) after calling ahead. They had plenty of seating inside and out and put us in a wonderful corner overlooking the river. After settling in the hostess returned to inform us that "we can't seat you here..." They moved us to a complete other side of the deck, around the corner of the building, to a table with chairs that were falling apart and an area that was infested with flies. The most comical part was that it was obviously the manager that made the call but they apparently didn't want to be the face of their own decision. The fun continued when our server arrived, without greeting, to take drink orders and hand out kids menus (sans crayons... delivered only after we asked twice...). Upon his return, the drink order was about two-thirds correct. We ordered a few appetizers, which were delivered without utensils or plates of any kind (again, had to request these), and our lunch. Aside from our lunch order also being messed up (example: there was cheese on a salad that was specifically requested to not have cheese) the food tasted just sort of "meh" overall. Nothing impressive. Let this be a warning to future diners considering this place: look elsewhere! You may be disappointed across the board like we were. read more

We visited summer of 2023, by accident we found the restaurant while walking the riverwalk, just looked like a good place to stop for a bite. We were lucky enough to sit on the balcony with a lovely view of the river, food was delicious. I had a Ruben sandwich with was generously loaded with corned beef. My husband had a burger, substantial and very tasty. We loved the amazing twisted log atmosphere and the food was wonderful. So much so that today we were back in town again and made it a point to stop in to inquire when the off peak hours would be. Alina... such a friendly hostess was very helpful and has a wonderfully sweet personality. She is just working here for the summer and goes back to Romania. She was absolutely a pleasure and just added another star (if I could give more) for her pleasant welcoming personality. First time visiting the Dells and this place was located near the Dells Boat Tour entrance. We were a bit hesitant to eat here because of previous reviews, but we decided to give it a go anyways. Our server, Francisco, was great. He went out of his way to make this a nice visit for our party of 8. There was a kids' menu, which had plenty of choices for our 3 kids. My husband and I shared the Brat Burger with onion rings, house made chips and onion dip. It was delicious. The others in our party had the ribs, the Prime burger and the chicken wings. All were good with generous portions. We ate inside, but the outside patio looked like a good option as well, despite a previous negative post regarding the appearance of the patio furniture. Our food came out quickly, and I would recommend coming here to sit on the patio so you can enjoy the views from there while you dine. read more

The River Walk Pub is an American standard fare dining option in the heart of downtown Wisconsin Dells. The deck overlooks part of the Wisconsin River. The Dells River Walk itself is out back. The pub has a separate outside bar with seating, and if you're lucky cornhole aka bags for passing the time should you encounter a wait. There is a huge parking lot if you're driving in. The restaurant is very close to the other downtown Dells attractions so you can come by other modes sans vehicle. The wood cabin aesthetic is soothing. As for photos I have not posted any because you'd see primarily happy people with empty nacho plates in the pics. My parties always get the nachos supreme and they are all that they should be. Warm, plentiful, loaded, multi colored chips, salsa and sour cream on the side. The only restaurant nachos I order. We are always full after nachos but have entrées coming. My Caribbean mahi was on point and pub fish being done well is a kudos to this place. Kickin Chicken and an array of other sandwiches over the past couple of years have been tried. Everyone cleans their plates. Rating this four out of five, slightly cosigning things other people have said-things could be a bit better. The time or two a mixed alcoholic drink was ordered there was little discernible alcohol. Service is spotty. May have to ask for appetizer plates. Or silverware. Or refills. Bathroom could be a bit fresher. Yes you're seated on the deck next to other tables without a buffer zone. Of all the places in the Dells, and if you want to avoid a chain restaurant, this is certainly worth your time. EDIT: I see that my check ins did not show on my review. I went to my camera and pictures of loved ones (and empty nacho plates) and the check ins history here on Yelp. This review is based on two visits in June 2020, one from September 2021, and one in June 2022. Again I would consider this slightly elevated pub food. Totally serviceable and worth checking out. Total crap- put a 3.5% surcharge on at the end of the bill for "the view and fluctuation of product costs without verbally telling me verbally or having a sign posted where you can see it in the middle of the entrance! The view? I was facing a solid wooden cabin wall in the bar area! the fluctuating prices? Every business deals with it-post your prices and be done with it! Yes it was listed at the bottom of the very back of the bottom of the menu but that is like reading the movie credits all the way to the end of a movie! Was it a lot of money? No! it was the principal plain and simple. A little over $5. Yes the waiter gladly took it off when confronted with it. But again, its the principal! Always wanted to go here. So I finally did. It was off season. We enter it is a beautiful building. Short staff just like every other restaurant so not holding that against them. They did seat us where we wanted to by an inside window. I do recommend they use a different cleaning product as the tab was sticky. I think what they use may not be good to the finish of the table. Server greeted us promptly and . Took our order. We got our drinks and food came pretty quick after. We like to share so we got the mahi sandwich and the shrimp taco. We upgraded the fries to chips and dip. And it was worth it I hate the weird fries. With the taco we got chips and salsa. So the salsa is store bought but it was ok. The tacos had a really nice flavor. I did really like the mahi mahi sandwich. I ordered the Honey on the side incase it was hot it was not to bad and made it taste so much more interesting. Really surprised at the low rating for this amazing place. The more recent review from a month ago is still correct: they are not enforcing social distancing, but if you're going to eat out and complain about it, keep on walking. We came on a sunny Saturday for lunch and we were not disappointed. I had the salmon sandwich and the salmon was nearly falling apart and was juicy. My boyfriend had a steak sandwich and could not stop saying how good it was. We REALLY loved the fries too. My blood Mary was nice a spicy and well garnished and my bf considered ordering a second mojito. And the view was just the cherry on top. Honestly it's a great place and very family friends and casual but also can be dressed up coz someone was doing their wedding photos there for the view ! read more

We came here on a Monday night and sat outside on their beautiful outdoor patio. It was easy to get a table since it was off peak. I got the mahi mahi wrap with cheesy potatoes. The wrap was really good, but I do wish the cheesy potatoes were a bit more cheesy. Also, the vegetables that come with the food are frozen vegetables, so don't come expecting fresh vegetables. The breadstick that came with the food was tasty. They have a good selection of beer. Definitely go for New Glarus when you're in Wisconsin! Great service and views! read more

Felt like it was cooked awhile ago and had been sitting under a heating lamp. I am not saying this what they do, just trying to describe what it reminded me of. +9 - Interior design was pretty cool. Really liked the twisted log beams and craftsmanship. There was plenty of parking. But if your not happy with the food or service, does having a cool vibe matter? This is a really great place. It's off the main drag, but only by a block, and well worth the short walk. The interior is almost like coming into a treehouse, with rustic timber construction and a gorgeous bar carved from a tree which makes me want to know more about this history of this place. I came in shortly after the lunch crush on Labor Day weekend, and though I'm sure the staff must have been tired from the the holiday weekend Sunday crowd, the bartender (Lace) was superb. She was personable and recommended an amazing stout, which I ordered for the rest of the afternoon. It's always a big plus to go to a big place and have a bartender who, even between busy shitfs, was very friendly and engaging and attentive. I unfortunately had some deadlines and was taking a break from camping to get some work done, and she was very accommodating and welcoming, not annoyed that I was at the end of the bar with my laptop working (and watching football). When wifi dropped out and I had to settle up and was prepped to leave, Angel had just come on shift and was able to add a separate wifi channel (b/c resetting the wifi wasn't an opiton; it would've knocked out their POS (point of sale) system). It worked like a charm and enabled me to unpack and finish my work and watch my game. Regardless of my unfortunate digital needs (but hey, beats the hell out of my home office), it's a gorgeous bar, with a great outdoor deck with a view of the river. Highly recommended! read more

They automatically charged gratuity, plus a 3.5% customer service charge. So basically 21.5% for service you would expect from a fast food restaurant. I would expect more from the looks of the place. Good food good service - except... A little disappointed in not sitting where we wanted. We were seated initially where we wanted on the balcony overlooking the beautiful landscaping in an area where there were tables of four. We had nine people so we moved a chair from another table to our round table to fix the problem as the rest of the balcony was empty. We didn't think it was a problem. Apparently it was. The waitress told us we needed to move. We followed her to the front of the balcony where we had a great view of the parking and the highway. I was given a seat with a broken back and ripped open back pad which I noticed was quite common in that section. We discussed the move with the waitress and we were told politely that was the policy and that was it. We stayed for the food but will reminder it for the disagreeable seating. read more

Ordered 2 cheeseburgers, steak tacos and the nachos plate. 1lemonade, 1 iced tea and 2 Pepsi. The lemonade is like kool aid, no lemons we're ever harmed to make this stuff! The iced tea is NOT brewed, it's mixed powder, gross. Both Pepsi's are HIGHLY watered down. They were worse than Subways soda, that's bad. My nachos and the steak tacos came with "red white and blue" corn chips, It's August 3rd. These chips were a clear left over from July 4th and all were stale, soft and hard at the same time, awful awful! Highly regret going here, Denny's would've been a major step up in quality. Beware of outside furnishings! Nice, clean inside decor but outside chairs and tables are badly in need of cleaning and repair. There are cushions on the chairs outside that have clearly weathered several seasons and are ripped and in awful shape.
